Hey! Sorry I've been so inactive on this lately, I've been trying to focus on my other Reddie story called "Reddie One Shots!", go check it out! But I'll definitely try to be ore active here because I realize a lot more of you are reading/enjoying this story in comparison to my other stories! Hope you like it!

(Sorry I switched tenses, it's been a while and writing in present tense is KILLING me right now!)

As soon as the boys were dressed and ready to go, backpacks stuffed with snacks and comics, they were out the door and heading towards the only place they knew they'd find Bill when he's upset; The Quarry. The trip is a little over ten minutes by bike, but Eddie was peddling as fast as his tiny legs would carry him, forcing Richie to speed-pedal to keep up. Richie knew Eddie was nervous to explain to Bill, but he didn't know he was this nervous. He was peddling like his house was on fire. As soon as they reached the quarry, the boys both dropped their bikes at the edge of the gravel trail and headed down towards the water. Sure enough, a sad Bill sat at the edge of the water, tossing rocks into the stream with all his might. Eddie turned and looked at Richie, visible tears already forming in his eyes.

"Hey, it's okay," Richie says, stepping in closer towards Eddie and planting a soft kiss on his lips, the smaller boy leaning up to accept. "He'll understand, I promise." Eddie nodded and grabbed Richie's hand before beginning to walk towards Bill. The sudden movement on the gravel startled Bill as they got closer, prompting him to jump in fright and turn towards them. After seeing them his face went from shocked to angry in a split second, and he turned back towards the water. Richie could see how hard Eddie was fighting back tears, and it was absolutely killing him inside.

"Bill, please just give us a chance to explain." Bill crossed his arms, then removed one and started to throw more stones in the water. Richie led Eddie to in front of Bill, so that the three were face to face.

"Bill," Eddie squeaked, "please?" Bill sighed softly and nodded, his eyes still turned down.

"Can you just tell us why you're upset? Do you hate that we're gay?" Bill opened his mouth in disbelief, closing it quickly before responding.

"Of course not, Richie. You guys are my family, I could never hate you." He mumbled the last words, obvious that it wasn't true in the moment.

"Well than what is it?" Eddie asked, still timid and scared in his tone.

"I just, I wi-wish you guys had tol-told me that you were g-ga-gay. It would've been nice to know you could tr-trust me with that."

"Bill," Eddie started, a silent tear falling down his cheek and stopping him before he can finish. Who knew it was hurting him this much to hurt his friend?

"What Eddie's trying to say is that before this morning, no one knew anything. Not even each other. Like, I just came out to Eddie when we kissed this morning. It just sort of happened, you know? And of course we were going to tell you right after it happened, but it had just happened, and we didn't really have time because we were kind of heavily making ou-"

"Okay, that's enough Richie." Eddie visibly rolled his eyes and pinched his nails into Richie's palm. "Bill, I'm so sorry, and like he said I swear we weren't planning on keeping this from you. We would never keep something like this from you." More tears fell down his cheeks. Richie noticed, and began slowly rubbing his thumb on Eddie's hand for comfort. Bill stood up slowly, his eyes meeting the pairs'.

"I'm so sor-sorry guys, I shouldn't have assumed."
"It's okay, don't worry Bill. The important thing is that everything's okay now. That's all that matters." Bill barreled into the two boys, engulfing them in a hug. They gladly accepted and wrapped their arms around their friend. The boys released and stepped back from one another. "Come on, let's go home now." Bill nodded, and Richie took Eddie's hand again, leading the two up the hill and out towards their bikes. All was well, and their friendship had been saved.
