The Goa'uld war during the early War of Ra's succession was quiet as the allies focused on worlds that were not under Goa'uld control. While the majority of worlds contacted during this time became trade partners with the allies several had closer links established. The United Empire created three protectorates by 1932 all of which held vital strategic resources. The first of these was the world of Terella due to its high Naquadah deposits and its ruler King Pyrus agreeing to liberalize in return for British protection and development. The second protectorate was the world of Iceni where the world was covered in deposits of a strange metal that the British had never seen before. They would back the largest kingdom into conquering the planet and then couped the nationalist King and replaced him with his more pliable son. The third protectorate was the world of Brunel after the British had backed the Kingdom of Haque into conquering the planet the British had funded their conquest and now their debts and technological gifts had come back to roost. The British had influenced important members of society and government into supporting their views and thus they managed to convince King Jaime XXVIII into ceding power to the new parliament. The increased power of the parliament allowed the British to convince the nation into singing the Treaty of Brunel and formally becoming a protectorate of the United Empire.

The many worlds that had fallen to the allied forces all had a distinctive settler group in their early years. By 1932 the allies had conquered several worlds that the governments that had annexed them had decided to use for settler colonies. The United Empire had the most worlds those being New Windsor, Nelson, New Hannover, Nova Caledonia, and the newly conquered Nova Cambria. The remaining nations that had interstellar colonies all had a single world under their control. The Kingdom of Portugal had the world of Nova Lusitania, the United States of America had the world of Lincoln, the German Empire had Neu Deutschland, the Hellenic Empire had the world of Palaiologos, and the Third French Republic had Liberté. These worlds all had different methods of dealing with the local population despite the British efforts to make sure that the nations got planets that had ethnicities of the nations that had colonised them. The Hellenic Empire by far had the most liberal view towards the natives having granted all those born on the world of Palaiologos after the Hellenic conquest citizenship due to their obvious Greek Heritage. The British had a relaxed view having granted most of their interstellar colony's local government, but each world was treated differently. New Windsor was seen as an integral part of the United Empire, while Nelson was seen as a glorified retirement home, New Hannover was a giant farm populated by both the locals and the refuges from the many worlds that the British had raided, New Caledonia was a lumberyard and the majority of the settlers did so out of nationalistic reasons, and Nova Cambria was settled by self-centred writers looking for inspiration. Neu Deutschland was treated much better than the German colonies on Earth partly due to their native's ethnic composition as Germans most of the controversy over the world came in the form of religion and its future status. The settlers of Nova Lusitania represented the most liberal aspects of Portuguese society with many being republicans and even today is the most left-wing area in Portugal. The world of Lincoln had a very for lack of a better term wild west feel as the American government tried to increase immigration by reducing authority and federal oversight this resulted in many companies establishing massive amounts of power on the planet which would prove controversial. Liberté was the only colony that the French had devoted squarely towards French settlement unlike the sporadic attempts in Algeria on Liberté the French presence was strong and concentrated to build up the French community on the planet.

The fall of Zaragoza to the Carlists and the destruction of the Republican Army of the North set the Republic on the back foot for the 1933 campaigns. Though the troops that had participated in throwing Alfonso XII were transferred to the north they were unable to revitalize the broken morale of the soldiers along the Carlist front. The Carlists on the other hand were planning for what they hoped to be a decisive blow and in Xavier I's words 'permanently end the scourge of Republicanism in Spain'. The plan was made to use the abysmal morale of the Republican forces and breakthrough towards the coast. The plan also called for agents to be infiltrated across the front and lead a revolt against the Republican regime. While most of the infiltrators were caught and executed by the Republicans or Communist Guerrilla groups some managed to get through and contact the more reactionary resistance groups. Most of the reactionary forces agreed to support the Carlists in return for certain concessions most notably having an elected parliament. All of the men involved were ready and on the 25th of March 1933 the Carlists launched Operation Mártir against the Republicans.

Fall of Seville
President Niceto Alcalá-Zamora has today announced that Republican forces have captured the city of Seville against little Monarchist resistance. King Alfonso XII and his government has fled and currently cannot be found. As Republican troops march through the city the Communist guerrillas that were within the city or attached themselves to the Republican Army have begun to purge anyone whom they view as a reactionary. The fall of the city to the Republicans leaves the already weakened monarchists broken as they withdraw towards the coast. To the Republic this shows that they have bested the preceding government and are quite possibly the strongest faction in Spain. For now, the Republic looks south.
Fall of Cadiz
The last Monarchist foothold in Spain has fallen to the Republican forces. When they arrived, the convoy containing King Alfonso XII and his government could be seen receding over the horizon. During the bloody battle to take the town several other convoys managed to escape to the Canary Islands evacuating troops and other high-ranking government officials. When the last Monarchist soldier fell on the docks the last convoy had just escaped. Despite the setback the Republicans have thrown the Monarchist forces out of Spain leaving only the Carlists to the north to be dealt with. The world powers look on with interest as the Republic pivots north.
Fall of Bilbao
The Republican government today has announced the fall of Bilbao to Republican forces. The Carlist capital was heavily fortified and the Republican forces took heavy losses as they advanced through the streets of the city. Despite their best efforts the Carlists where defeated and the Cross of Burgundy burnt by the victorious Republican troops. Xavier I managed to escape the city before it fell through his current location is unknown. With the loss of their capital and large swathes of their territory the Carlists seem to be on the verge of collapse and many wonder how long it will be before the Carlists collapse. For now, though it seems the Republic stands victorious.
Republicans Victorious in the Spanish Collapse
The office of the President of Spain has today released a communique detailing the collapse of all enemy forces in the Spanish Collapse and the unification of Spain under the Republics banner. Across the nation the communist guerrillas that plagued the enemies of the Republic have dragged out known reactionaries and executed them in honour of the Republican victory. The Monarchist Government in Exile alongside the Carlists have denounced the Republic and named them illegitimate radicals that will destroy Spain. The Spanish government has announced the recognition of the Second Kingdom of Aragon and the Kingdom of Gallica though they have complained over the world powers enforcing monarchism on the nations. President Niceto Alcalá-Zamora has called for a convention on the future of Spain but no matter what happens there the Republican Eagle has arisen over Spain.
Reactionary Coup in the Spanish Republic
The newly victorious government of the Spanish Republic has been dissolved by reactionary sections of the military and society. Under the control of Emilio Mola, the new regime has revoked any and all civil liberties granted under the Republic and have launched a great purge against their enemies within the nation. They have rescinded recognition of the Second Kingdom of Aragon and the Kingdom of Gallica denouncing them as traitors to the Spanish state. The new state has granted 'temporary emergency powers' to the military and Emilio Mola and even now the surrounding nations are under attack from refuges. The Spanish Eagle arises, and vengeance burns in their breast.
Communist Coup in the Spanish Republic
The newly victorious government of the Spanish Republic has been dissolved by communist paramilitaries. Led by Buenaventura Durruti the new Workers State has launched a massive purge of the conservative members of Spanish society across the country churches have been razed with in some cases entire communities trapped inside. They have rescinded recognition of the Second Kingdom of Aragon and the Kingdom of Gallica denouncing them as traitors to the Spanish people and workers. The workers state has launched on a massive purge of any and all 'reactionaries' across the nation. The Basque country has risen up in rebellion against the government but were crushed quickly. The Hammer and Sickle arises in Spain and the world will tremble.
