The increased allied raids against the Goa'uld industrial worlds was devastating for the war effort of both sides as the loss of developing capacity and Jaffa made the tense relations between the two allies against Heru'ur grow tenser. Several friendly fire incidents had occurred throughout the early months of 1933, but the worst incident was on Ùr Albion. The insurgency against the Goa'uld had not ended with the fall of Apophis and in fact the allies had increased their gun running to the rebels until over ten thousand Jaffa were stationed on the world to deal with the insurgency. This only increased the tensions when the forces of Lord Yu and Cronus occupied the world. As the insurgents waged a guerrilla war against the Jaffa occupiers several friendly fire incidents between Jaffa happened without any major conflicts. Then for some reason on the 28th of July a patrol of Cronus's Jaffa opened fire on Lord Yu's Jaffa due to thinking they were insurgents this had happened before and most of the time they stopped firing when it was revealed that they were Jaffa. For some reason Cronus's Jaffa continued firing to which Lord Yu's Jaffa countered drawing in more Jaffa on both sides and swiftly the conflict spread across the planet. When Lord Yu received word, he assumed that Cronus was about to betray him and Ùr Albion was just the start, so he launched his plan to backstab Cronus. At the time Cronus was visiting an isolated world of his when he received word that his Ha'tak in orbit was under attack from unknown forces for Sokar had returned to reconquer the galaxy. The War of Ra's succession had entered the stage of the four warlords one of the bloodier sections of the war with at least three stars destroyed before Anubis joined the war.

The rise of Sokar when viewed from an outside lens seems like an outside power guided him to victory but when you look closer there are many factors that contribute to his rise. His defeat and banishment early in the rise of the Goa'uld weakened him compared to his eventual foes in the sense that he was unable to unleash the sheer resources that the Goa'uld empire had. However, it also allowed him to think of to the Goa'uld unconventional strategies. In fact, the lack of worlds he held bizarrely benefited him as it allowed him to focus his entire development on Delmak which he swiftly transformed into an industrial hellscape where entire families spent their lives building a single Ha'tak due to their grandfather coughing at the wrong time. The main problem for Sokar was that of manpower since he had cut many of his bridges with the people of Delmak and his adoption of the devil persona was not exactly the best choice for recruitment. To solve this problem, he was the last major Goa'uld to use Unas in battle and they heavily contributed to his image though he could have just asked edgy teenagers to join him.

The Carlist capture of nearly all land north of the Tagus river was an absolute success and many records show that the Carlists had no idea what to do next which may have contributed to the lack of any major operations on either side until September of 1933. The Republicans spent most of that time arguing over how much power the Communist Party should have in the governing coalition, which while important was not the most vital thing in comparison to their capital being under threat. The Carlists on the other hand debated on whether or not trade unions should be legal neither side exactly focused on the most pressing issues during this time.

The end of the Tagus ceasefire as some have called the brief peace following the Carlist advance came about with a Republican offensive surprisingly enough. With a joint attack from the Madrid Salient and across the Tagus to push the Carlists back. The Republicans had built up a large reserve and managed to break through the liens along the Madrid Salient and crossed the river at several points. The aim was to encircle as many Carlist troops as possible and they aimed to do that by capturing the town of Salamanca and eliminating the surrounded Carlist troops. The plan failed brutally since the entire linchpin to t Republican victory held. The Carlists managed to hold Salamanca against the Republican onslaught and the Republican plan crumbled. Counteroffensives at Ávila and Béjar broke the Republican lines and they were slowly eliminated as the Carlists rushed Operation Aragon into launching. The routed Republicans that had returned to the pre-offensive lines fought valiantly against the Carlists, but they were broken and the Carlists pushed through. While Madrid itself did not fall to the Carlist advance the Salient named after the city did and Madrid was reduced to a pocket in the Carlist held regions of Spain.

The development of Project Orion was a strange mix between relatively advanced speed with the actual construction and delayed in the form of the human understanding of what was to them entirely new fields of study and science most notably computers. The lower part of the mainframe of the HIS Orion was finished by the 10th of January 1934 while not as large as the HIMIS Dreadnought, IJN Yamanto, SMS Bismarck or even IRS Nicholas II the fifty-metre-long base of the hull was still large.
One of the largest problems building the HIS Orion was that humanity had not yet developed the vital aspect of interstellar ships that being computers. Computers are an absolutely vital aspect of interstellar travel and humanity had yet to develop beyond the most rudimentary computer. The operations at Kimberly had secured large amounts of the crystals used by the Goa'uld to run their computers. Thus, the majority of the work with Amaterasu's scientists and shipbuilders was by major scientists on developing and understanding how the Goa'uld used computers. The main reason in fact that the construction of the HIS Orion took so long was due to the development of the computers.
