HEY READERS! Its officially been over a YEAR since I updated this story and if i'm honest I forgot about it! So here's a quick note and explanation. To summarize, IM BACK with this story!

So I told myself I wouldn't be like other creators who never finished their stories and I am ashamed to say clearly that was a lie, haha! But here I am, one global pandemic later and finally having some extra time. I'm gonna start this story again! Obviously now season 4 of Rick and Morty is out, and I just gotta say its not gonna change this one. This still takes place in the less chaotic "era of peace" after season 3 and wont involve any of the episodes. Ill post a new chapter as soon as I've finished re reading it to make sure I don't veer from the story line. Sorry again for the delay, I hope anyone that was disappointing I didn't continue it finds it again!

I'm gonna give you guys an extra long chapter to make up for it :)

Chapter 15: New Experiences

Morty

Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit.

He really tried. He thought about the most boring things he could. But it really wasn't his fault, Her bare back, the way his fingers grazed it when he had to help her. Then she turned and-

GOD he had to get out of this situation. Morty couldn't even imagine what would happen if he went upstairs and Rick saw... Him. Endless years of jokes. It was near impossible to stop thinking about the previous moment but after lots of school thoughts and boring things he was luckily able to calm down. He needed to find an excuse for why he was taking so long, clearly it shouldn't take him 10 minutes to get dressed. Bingo. Morty grabbed harshly at the bandages around his head and ripped them this way and that to make them slip off and come undone. There. He only took so long because he was trying to fix the bandages! Perfect excuse.

Morty joined Rick and Sky upstairs in the garage, blushing and avoiding eye contact with her. Jeez, how could he come back from that. "H-hey uh, R-rick? When I was getting my shirt on t-the bandages on m-my head slipped and came off. I-I tried to fix them but I don't really know h-how to fix them." Morty tried to sound convincing. Rick put his flask back in his coat and rolled his eyes. "*UURGH* Maybe if you didn't fiddle with them so much they w-wouldn't come off MORTY." Rick said as he grabbed Morty's head and started re-applying the bandages. Morty felt where the stitches were on his head, and the huge amount of pain that came when Rick pressed on them trying to put his bandages back on. "O-OW! RICK!" Morty flinched away, rubbing his head where the pain was. When he brought his hand away he noticed out of the corner of his eye blood on his hand. "Goddamit Morty! You opened your fucking stitch. Now I g-gotta go get th*EURGH* stitches and do it all over again." Rick grumbled. He grabbed a random towel off the counter in the garage and threw it to Sky. "Hold this to his head I don't want blood stains in the garage. Jerry's stupid but we can't r*EURgH*isk him noticing." Rick huffed. He quickly stomped back down to the lab under the garage presumably to get the medical supplies.

Oh Jeez. They were alone again. The awkward tension in the air weighed what felt like tons and Morty knew he had to say something.

"U-uhm, s-sorry about, y-y'know... P-probably from all t-the uh, s-space drugs?" Morty was stuttering more than ever. He wanted to punch himself. Space drugs? How stupid did he think she was. Clearly not seeing as she chuckled awkwardly. "Hey don't sweat it. I wont judge you for your teenage shit as long as you don't judge me for mine." She gave him a smile. It really was intoxicating and Morty felt his cheeks hot that threatened for another "teenage shit" moment. Skylar suddenly jumped out of her seat. "Oh shit I forgot I gotta hold this to your head! Oops..." She looked at him wide eyed. Morty felt something drip down the side of his face, and he didn't need to guess as to what it was. He touched it anyways to see that it was blood from his reopened wound. "Shit, shit, sorry!" Sky ran over and cupped Morty's face with one hand, wiping the blood gently on the other side with the towel. Morty couldn't even process what was happening.

Her hand was so warm, and she was so gentle. She probably didn't even know all the feelings she was inflicting on him just by doing this. He watched her focused eyes as she gently cleaned up his face and then held the towel to the wound." Her lips were right there. She glanced down and noticed Morty looking at her. They looked into each others eyes for a moment. "L-let me know if I'm hurting you o-or anything." Sky stuttered as she fumbled with the towel, breaking the stare. Woah. She definitely felt that moment too, and Morty took comfort in knowing that she secretly had a stutter as well. It seemed to come out when she was nervous. Morty didn't say anything, he was still savoring her touch and the moment that clung in the air. After a couple minutes Sky grabbed the chair she had been sitting in and dragged it over so she could sit while she held the towel to Morty's head. Now their faces were on the same level. Morty couldn't stop his eyes from glancing at her lips momentarily. "S-so how are your injuries f-feeling?" Morty started awkwardly. He wondered what was taking Rick so long to get simple stitching materials. Sure he wasn't complaining about the extra alone time with Sky, but he was hungry so he assumed she was hungry. "I feel way better than when we first woke up. Whatever it is your grandpa gave us works wonders. I can't believe I hadn't even noticed that I knocked out two of my teeth. I'll have to thank him." Said Sky. Morty scoffed, "Hah, d-don't worry about thanking him. H-he's done enough damage already. I-it's his fault we had to go though all this a-anyways." Morty rolled his eyes. Sky laughed, it was adorable. She looked down and then back up at Morty, "Honestly Im glad it did. It's showed me all these amazing things I never even knew existed. Like holy shit, different dimensions?" They both laughed. "And honestly, I-I'm glad that you showed me this. Not just because it fixed what happened but also because I got to spend more time with you." Sky's tone softened and she looked down. Morty was in disbelief. He still couldn't believe any of this was happening. Sky looked back up at him. "And honestly these injuries are worth the new experiences." Sky grabbed his hand. Morty tried to speak but his heart was racing. Her hands were so soft. "I-I-I'm really g-glad you b-believe me, a-and I-I really like you too." Morty couldn't even think with her holding his hand. She was looking right into his eyes now. He tried to continue and explain "Y-you know, like, uh, I-I think y-you're really pretty. A-and I know we h-havent known e-each other for long b-but I-" Morty was cut off.

Sky leaned in and kissed him.

Rick

Rick headed downstairs to grab the supplies to fix that idiots wound. This stupid new "friend" of Morty's had caused so much trouble already and Rick was irritable. Why did Morty have to fall in love with any girl who would give him an ounce of attention? And he was right when he said she had NO tits. He really questioned Morty's taste especially after Jessica. Rick swigged his flask and looked around for the medkit. It was lying on the counter already opened as he'd used it the first time to fix Morty's head. He was about to grab it when one of his many phones rang. He guessed it might be one of his friends looking to go to the bar or some galactic strip club, but he was suprised to see it was actually the earth phone. And it was Beth. Rick took a breath and answered it. "Yeah what." Rick assumed this was just some errand or question about where Morty was as usual from his daughter. "Dad what the hell is going on? There are two angry parents asking about some girl... Skylar? They say they know she's here? Wheres Morty?! What the fuck is going on?!" Beth sounded frustrated, clearly these parents were giving her a hard time. Rick's stomach dropped and he could guess which parents they were. He thought he'd sorted it out with hacking the school email saying she was on a trip, how did they know? "Uhhh, I'll deal with it Beth don't w*EurGH*orry." Rick hung up before she could say anything else and portaled to the upstairs of the house. He didn't want to walk though and have the girl know her parents were here and angry. He'd deal with it.

He looked over and saw the front door open with two men waiting impatiently. He assumed these were her parents. Beth marched over to him. "Dad whats going on? Tell me right now. Where's Morty?" Rick knew Beth tended to panic, so he lied. "Morty is with their daughter acutally, u-uuhh, out on a date." Rick pulled the lie right out of his ass. "But they can't know because she isn't sup*eUrGH*posed to have a boyfriend." Rick was proud of his lie and thankful he locked the garage so even if Beth got curious she wouldn't find them in there. "I'll deal with it." Rick walked outside to the angry fathers and closed the front door behind him. "H-hey fellas whats the problem here?" Rick tried to come off as friendly as possible. "Where the hell is our daughter? Why is she here?" One of the dads said angrily. They were clearly tense, but Rick wondered why they even thought she was here. "Uhhh daughter? I don't really know any girls my grandson is friends with, I dont think your daughter is here." Rick lied. He hoped they were just going around looking for her and that they'd leave him alone. The other father quickly responded "We know you're lying! We can see on her chip that shes here. Who the fuck are you and why is my daughter with you?!"

Ah fuck. No wonder they were so adamant she was here, these lunatic controlling parents have her chipped. Rick panicked and knew this was gonna be more difficult than just lying his way out of it. "OH, uhh, OH, y-you're talking about my grandsons girlfriend! I-I didn't realize. I-I think theyre having a date together right now." Rick grinded his teeth in stress. He prayed they wouldn't freak out. "Well we're here to get her because shes not allowed to be dating in the first place! Let us IN!" The two dads wasted no time in then trying to rush into the house. Rick panicked and knew there was no way they could go in there let alone find their daughter not only with a boy but severely injured. He searched for the memory forget pen in his lab coat. FUCK! He forgot to get it back from Morty when they used it on the principal. He grabbed the only other thing he could think of.

*KWZRRRP*

The ray of light hit both parents and their eyes went white for a second before they promptly passed out. This would buy Rick a little time to place them back at wherever their house was and figure something more elaborate out. For now he'd just reset their brains to forget the most recent memory. Though it wasnt as good as using the pen to convince them to just leave him alone. "Fuck". Rick swore as he swigged his flask. He dragged the parents to the car as his ship was in the garage with the teens. Sky would freak if she saw her parents like this. Hed have to drive. He quickly used his watch to track down their address, it was much easier than people thought. He drove to the house and put them both on the couch. Dammit. Think, think, think. Rick really had to squirm his way out of this one. Then it hit him, the perfect way to get these assholes off his back.

He dug through his lab coat. Please please please let him still have them. YES! He felt four tiny, pill sized machines.

He swiftly pulled out the dream inceptor earpieces. It'd been a while since he gave these bad boys a spin. This was such a pain in his ass, it would take so long (at least in dream hours) to be able to make them think their daughter was fine. Not only that but he had to do both of them. He decided that before he went through all this he had to feed the teens he was storing in his garage and give them SOMETHING to bide the time. Luckily it would probably only be a couple hours for them. He left the sleeping dads on the couch and drove to a near by Macdonalds to grab chicken nuggets with szechuan sauce.

OK quick break but I'm gonna bang out the next chapter right after this one! Enjoy :)
