The second theme ship week that I'm partaking in. Well… I suppose it's the third one since I did do something for White Rose Week even though it wasn't really posted during the celebration, but that's besides the point.
I'll admit that I… still need to play Three Houses. I have a vague gist of the plot details of the game, yet not a lot of specifics. However, I did look up the supports and some cutscenes without much context around them. I'll go ahead and say that, from what I know, I do intend to make the Golden Deer my first playthrough when I do get started. Which, depending on how classes for me go, may need to be after I finish my current semester so that I can at least have a bit of fun.
Anyway, I'll go ahead and explain why it is that I'm fond of Marianne and, subsequently, Marileth as a ship. It's admittedly a little shallow. Basically, I found out that Xanthe Huynh, who is the voice of my second favorite Persona 5 character, is Marianne's English VA. Then I looked up the support of Marianne and Byleth and I really enjoyed it. So, yeah. That's how I became a Marileth shipper.
Regardless of that, I've had plans of making a story for this ship week for a while now. And, depending on how much I can get done, I may end up also updating the Akiba week story even though that week has long since passed. We'll see how that goes.
I hope that you all enjoy this one.

Byleth gave a small exhale as he walked out towards a garden area of the monastery. He had met most of the students and staff that would be at the school, but there wasn't anything that had gripped him towards any one house just yet.
"Just hope something will click…" he muttered as he walked towards a spot that seemed to be empty apart from a single person. He approached and noticed that the person there was in the school's uniform, kneeling gently. Byleth then took out a small list of the student names that he had been given by Rhea and saw that all but a single name was checked off as having been met. He slowly approached the student, seeing she had light blue hair that was nicely styled and she seemed to be somewhat calm. Byleth then gave a small clearing of his throat to get her attention, making her turn towards him, "Hello."
"Oh… um… hello…" she nervously greeted.
"Are you… Marianne?" Byleth asked calmly.
"Yes… why do you want to know…?" Marianne hesitantly asked.
"I'm going to start teaching at the monastery and I just wanted to introduce myself to the students that would be here," Byleth explained as he kneeled next to her, "My name's Byleth. It's nice to meet you, Marianne."
Marianne looked a little nervous as Byleth's expression remained somewhat neutral, yet she could sense that there was something tender beneath the neutral look. Marianne somewhat eased up as she shifted so as to look at Byleth, "It's… um... nice to meet you too, Professor."
After that, neither really said anything towards each-other. Marianne then turned back towards the flowers that were nearby and went back to tending to them a bit. Byleth kept an eye on her for a moment, but didn't say anything to her.
"I'm sorry… did you need something from me?" Marianne eventually asked.
"Sorry. Just… I sort of wanted to know a little bit more about some of the students since I still need to figure out which house I'm going to teach…" Byleth admitted.
"Um… there's not much to me…" Marianne admitted.
Before Byleth could respond, he heard a bird chirping. Marianne then walked over towards the bird and, with a small smile, proceeded to take out a bag of bird seeds and give them to the bird. Byleth could see the smile that Marianne had and simply smiled a little bit himself. He proceeded to get up and start walking away.
"Sorry to have bothered you," Byleth apologized before Marianne saw that he was leaving.
"Um… it was nice meeting you…" Marianne told him.
"You too," Byleth responded.
Thus, Marianne was left alone with the bird. The bird gave a gentle chirp towards her, yet Marianne seemed a bit distracted.
"He… seems nice…" she whispered.
After a little while, the Golden Deer were called into their classroom and they all saw Byleth was there and he greeted them all. Marianne, although a bit further back, gave a small wave towards Byleth that he responded with his own wave. Marianne faintly blushed at that, but nobody seemed to notice.
"Alright then. It's nice to see you all, class. I am your professor as of now," Byleth informed.
"Wait. What?! You're our new professor?!" Hilda gawked.
"Is that true? You're… not exactly what I imagined… oh, sorry! I didn't mean that the way it sounded!" Ignatz spoke before quickly apologizing.
Byleth initially didn't respond as he let the class talk a little bit and he simply gave a small exhale upon hearing some of the things that Leonie, Lorenz, and Raphael had all said in regards to him.
Claude gave off a bit of nervous laughter before walking over to Byleth, "Well, now that you've gotten to see us, you can see we're a bit of a rowdy bunch."
"...rowdy is a bit of an… understatement, Claude…" Byleth exhaled, "But, I have made my choice. I hope that we can all get along."
Various responses came from the students, some in agreement, some a bit more passive, and others that didn't say much.
"I hope so, too…" Marianne whispered, though nobody seemed to hear her.
With the mock battle finished, Byleth was set to look over some papers about the students' performance to grade them. As he approached his desk to get started, he noticed that there was a small flower by it along with a piece of paper with a message that simply said "Welcome". Byleth picked it up with a confused look as he looked around. He faintly heard somebody walking away and then managed to make out a faint amount of light blue retreating from his sight.
"...thanks," Byleth muttered, a small smile on his face as he got set to start grading.
May not exactly be very lengthy, but I'll openly admit I was a little stumped on what to do for a bit. Plus, I'll admit, I procrastinated working on this. However, in spite of that, I am having fun with this.
I'll admit that there's not too much of a favorite part to this one, but I did like the final scene with the little gift. Just a cute little moment is all.
Hope that you enjoyed this and will continue to enjoy what I make for this week.
Just Live More.
