Hours after Rem kills Subaru.

A blue-haired maid was working in the hallways, watering every flower, plant on any vase she could see.

"Rem..." A voice whimpered, the maid froze. It was Emilia, and she was dissapointed and devastated by Rem killing Subaru. The half-elf asked. "W-Why did you do it?"

The maid refused to answer."..."

With no response, she asked again. "Why!?"

She had no choice other than to speak, she found out about him killed by her. She spoke the truth at the first part. "S-Subaru had the witch's miasma..." But she lied at the last. "And he was spying at us for the Witch Cult."

A white/gray-haired cat appeared out of the silky, white hair of Emilia. "That isn't true Rem." It was a Great Spirit. The name? Puck, or the Beast of the End.

Puck was dissapointed at her, much like Emilia. "Even though I could smell the Witch's stink, he was not aware of it. He was just a nice guy with my Empath."

Rem's head tilted to the ground. The spirit continued. "And yet, you accused him for being with the Witch Cult. Hell, me and Beatrice talked about Subaru and his stench, and we came to a conclusion that he was harmless, even with his said stench."

Puck sighed, he spoke again. "I can't believe you did this. You made my daughter depressed which wouldn't go away for a few months, or years."

Puck turned back to Emilia, who had a few tears leaving a trail in her face. "C'mon, let's leave Rem and return to the bedroom."

Emilia sniffled, and didn't move for a few seconds, but turned to her back and walked away slowly to her bedroom. As a one last look, Puck turned around to look to the maid who was in the same place, head tilted to the ground. He muttered with an angry face. "I'm dissapointed at you. Maid."

Rem whispered. "I'm sorry Emilia-sama." Before continuing her work, but slowly.

Emilia finally reached her bedroom, she was sniffling and crying. "Lia..." Puck said in pity.

The half-elf opened the door, entered, then closed and locked the door behind her. She approached the side of her bed, lied down, got into a fetal position to the window and placed a pillow, covering her mouth. Emilia proceeded to cry intensely, as if mourning for a dead one.

Puck was pitying her, but at the same time, extremely disappointed and angry at the blue-haired oni. He flew to Emilia, and tried to comfort her. He placed his hand to Emilia's shoulder. "Now, now Lia, if Subaru sees this he'll be sad too y'know? And we don't want to make other people sad."

Emilia ignored her, her face dug deeper into the already soaked pillow. Puck turned around and muttered angrily. "That fucking maid..."

Emilia continued to cry to the rest of the day, ignoring any knocks and pleas from her door.

It was night, Rem opened the door to her bedroom, entered and closed it. She switched from her maid uniform to a casual one. She had the face of regret after Emilia found about it and became depressed. Rem walked to her bed and laid at it, with the blanket covering her feet to her neck. She closed her eyes, waiting for the feeling of sleep take her over.

"W-Why?..."

Rem opened her eyes and sat up immeadiately, she looked around to see someone, but with the exception of the door slightly ajar. 'I swear I closed that like minutes ago.'

She got out of her bed, walked to the door, and tilted the door to retract and closed the door. And right before the gap between the door and doorframe finally closed, a voice familiar to her spoke. "Why did you kill me?"

She turned around, she was scared shitless. After turning around, she saw a man, empty but stainless eyesockets, and an open throat. It was Subaru, who had his arm reached out to her. "Why?" He spoke again, he then took a step, slowly closing the gap between him and her.

Rem couldn't answer, her face paled. Subaru took another step. A voice spoke on her head. 'Whywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhy did you kill me?'

Subaru lowered her arm, and took a step again. "Why Rem?..."

Rem bashed out of the door, fearing for her life. This action caused all of the residents to wake up. She looked back and... What? Subaru wasn't there anymore, he was gone. Leaving a trail of black/red sludge one where the boy had stood and stepped.

"Rem! What happened!?" A voice spoke, it was Ram. Running to her. She approached to Rem, she was hyperventilating, her iris already small, and cold sweat falling down from her forehead.

Ram spoke again. "Rem! What happened?"

Rem lifted her arm, pointing to the room where she always slept. Ram looked at the direction, it was empty, only the light of the moon were piercing the glass windows. Ram stood up leaving her alone, she walked to the door, stepped on something squishy and wet. She looked down, it was the same sludge Rem saw earlier.

Ram looked left and right, before lighting up a magic crystal lamp on the table. Ram lowered to inspect the sludge on the ground.

"Gh!... Ghk...!"

Ram turned around, Rem was pinned down on the floor, a pair of hands were on her neck. Ram fired a blade of wind to where the perpetrator was supposed to be. Instead of blood and flesh splattering everywhere, only a mark on the wall was left.

After being freed from the hands, Rem took a breath multiple times to give oxygen to all of her cells in the body. Ram approached Rem again, guarding her oni sister from whoever was that.

Ram asked her sister. "Who was that?"

Rem stuttered. "S-Subaru... N-Nat-t-tsuki Sub-baru..."

Ram's eyes widen. "Wasn't he dead already?" asked she.

"Why did you kill me?" The twins looked to the origin of the voice. It was at the middle of the hallway, on their left. Both sisters paled, Subaru had a few traces of dried blood below his eyes, as if crying.

The boy slowly walked to the twins. He repeated. "Why did you kill me?"

"All I wanted was to be friends."

"Whywhywhywhywh-"

"Why did you kill me?"

Subaru stopped. "You never trusted me did you..."

Rem then answered. "Y-yes..."

Rem stopped shivering, her breathing also stopped. Ram looked to her sister. "Rem?..."

The blue-haired maid fell down to the floor, blood was pouring out of her open mouth. Ram, now realized, that her sister was killed. She puked from the sight, the stinging feeling on her thoart came soon too. Ram refocused herself, and fired a wind magic, it sliced Subaru's left arm. But the muscles regrew themselves in a crude way.

Ram fired again, this time his head was cleanly cut off from the body. The body stopped, the head fell to the floor, rolling. The pink-haired maid was relieved. But her feeling would soon end when the muscle strands of the neck grew and reached the disconnected head. As the head and neck were connected again, the overstretched neck retracted to the normal size.

Ram was for the first time since her village was raided, she was scared. Scared by the boy she finished. And when Subaru finally reached her, he placed his hands on her neck and said. "You never trusted me did you..."

And as her last words. "I never did..."

Subaru crushed her neck, blood splattered all over the place. The head rose, and soon later fell to the floor. Subaru, who had his hands now bloody and clamped, disappeared from the scene.

Beatrice, Emilia and Puck rushed to where the sound came, and as they took a sharp turn, they froze. And at the same time where Subaru was killed, the body was gone too.
