Bob and the New Girl

The planet is dark and cold. Constructs everywhere emerging from the synthetic ground. The Vex and their handy work. Ikora sent a quest marker to any guardian close to the Venus sector of the solar system and Delta-626 happened to be nearby.

Most Exo's are exceptional guardians, but Delta-626 is on an entirely different level. Delta has fought toe to toe with Crota and hunted the Fallen Elders. During the mission code named: The Vault of Glass, Delta fought Aetheon and won. He has earned himself many titles and ranks among the Vanguard leaders. He is known as the 'Lion' due to his unique armor with two large lion pauldrons on each shoulder, the fur traveling around the back of his neck to the front of his plate, and his unique chest piece called 'The Crest of Alpha Lupi'.

L "My scans do not show any sign of the servitor" Says Liz as the small ball of light and metal travels along side Delta. Delta does not respond as the two have worked together so long that few words are needed.

The Environment is whizzing by them as Delta effortlessly drives his sparrow through obstacles and jumps created on the planet. Liz begins to giggle. Delta looks at his floating companion.

L "The servitor's directive number is 808. It looks like Bob. BOB! HAHAHA….!" Delta Rolls his eyes.

D "That's enough Liz, we're almost there" Delta says sternly.

The pair begin to slow their approach as they near a large construct. The construction consists of several sections of cubes. Each section conveniently has a lift to the next. Some cubes are broken and shattered while others are new and untouched by time. Definitely the Vex pulling from different realities. Delta and Liz approach the lower level to find a lift.

L "I am still not getting any readings. It is almost as if it is abandoned. Do you think Ikora's intel is wrong?"

D "Ikora is almost never wrong."

L "Wait!" Liz snaps to the right. "I am picking up…. Hm? That can't be right. I am picking up a biological signal."

D "Can you tell what it is?"

L "Not really. The signature is too small."

D "Animal?"

L "Not sure, but I thought the Vex cleansed the whole planet of life?"

D "Stranger thins have happened. Something could have survived."

L "Pff." Liz tries to hold a laugh in "Like Bob the Servitor. Hahaha." Delta just rolls his eyes.

D "What is a servitor doing on Venus anyway?"

L "Ikora said that there were reports of Vex and Fallen Collaboration. The Vex don't work or speak to anything. I don't know how true that would be."

D "Hm… interesting"

Delta materializes his gun and helmet. The helmet has two horns that come forward and no obvious visor for sight. He approaches a lift on the floor of the construct. The lift carries the pair upward. Immediately, both are barraged with gun fire from vex and fallen alike. Delta immediately returns fire with his Auto Rifle. He throws a void magnet grenade as he slides into cover. The grenade kills a group of six. Delta stands up and shoots two more. Delta picks off the remaining few with precise accuracy.

L "I think that is all of them."

Suddenly, something moves behind them. Delta spins around ready to shoot.

L "STOP!" Liz is in front of Delta's gun.

Delta looks to see a small awoken girl. A large head of wild red hair and dark ashen skin. Bright blue eyes. She looks at Delta Stunned. Delta puts down his gun.

L "Hello little one?"

Liz is close to the girl. She begins to laugh and tries to catch Liz. Liz just moves playfully avoiding the young being's grasp.

L "Can we keep her? PLEASE!"

D "She is not a pet. How has she survived this long?"

Delta walks toward the girl and gets on one knee. The girl walks back slowly, scared of this tall, broad, horned being.

D "It is okay little one. I will not hurt you. "

The girl just stares at him, not knowing what to do. Delta holds out his hand and projects fireworks from his hologram projection system. The girl jumps at first and then slowly begins to look at the popping of the bright colors. She begins to giggle and her face lights up with wonder.

L "We can't just leaver her here Delta." Liz says gently.

D "When have I ever been so heartless?"

L "I can name a few times." Liz mumbles.

D "But, we cannot leave without fulfilling our mission and eliminating servitor 808.

L "pft.. Bob."

G "Bahub" The young girl says giggling.

L "Look, she is trying to learn to talk. Awwweeeee…. I want to name her Steve."

Delta looks at her puzzled.

D "That's …. No. We're not keeping her. We are taking her back to the Tower and to Ikora."

L "but…"

D "No Liz." Delta Commands.

Suddenly, a loud horn sound drowns out the conversation. A larger Servitor appears.

L "BOB!"

G "Bahubbb"

The servitor lights up and begins to fire a large blast. Delta spreads his arms, and a large purple bubble appears around the three.

D "Liz, keep her in the shield!"

Delta holds out his right hand a large flaming maul appears. Delta sprints out of the shield and lunges at the servitor.
