The Kingdom of Egypt during the 1940's represented the slow transition away from autocracy and reactionary politics into democracy and freedom. Under King Farouk I more and more power was ceded to the parliament as he spent most of his time praying and writing religious texts. The Kingdom was one of the most developed in the Middle East with trade flowing from Alexandria to the streets of Cairo before being dispatched to its destination. However, all was not well for bubbling just beneath the surface the large Pan-Arabist movement was gathering to demand the unification of Egypt with the Kingdom of the Arabs. This culminated in the massive protests of the 50s led by one Nasser and the eventual Alexandria Accords but first we will dart across the Red Sea to the Kingdom of the Arabs and the Federation of Judea.

The Kingdom of the Arabs was and still is by far the most powerful nation in the Middle East and in the 40's people were beginning to recognize that as they spread their wings with the launching of the RAIS Mohammad and the Treaty of Bagdad the world saw them for what they were a superpower in the making. This is generally regarded as why Pan-Arabism took off in Egypt and the Arab regions of Persia as they saw their mother country becoming a world power that was for Arabs and Arabs alone, so they began to protest. The Kingdom of Arabs almost definitely funded these groups and although those records from the General Intelligence Agency will not be declassified until 2075 so in four years they have effectively admitted to doing so several times. Anyway, this is on the Kingdom of the Arabs not Pan-Arabism. So, the 1940's were a period of growth for the Kingdom of the Arabs as they discovered several major oil veins in Iraq and along the Persian Gulf. They invested the oil profits back into the economy most notably with their massive education campaigns in the regions held by the House of Saud in an attempt to eradicate the Wahhabi sect supported by the House of Saud prior to their defeat. These efforts actually worked Wahhabism was eliminated in public and several major Imams that spoke out against the initiatives went mysteriously missing or died in particularly brutal accidents. As the Kingdom of the Arabs grew in every sense they spread their influence throughout the world. Well that was ominous anyway onwards to the Federation of Judea.

So, the Federation of Judea was one of the most important nations on Earth in regard to their soft international influence for two major reasons the French Federation and the Chinese Federation these two nations represented how a compromise could be made between Republics and Monarchies. Of course, to the Judeans this just meant that the French and Chinese had seen reason and adopted the clearly superior joint head of state model. Of course, it was not all snobbery and happiness that their superior political system was being spread around the world there was also brutal ethnic conflict. While not as bad as under British Rule it was quite common to pick up a newspaper and read about a mass slaughter of either Jews, Arabs, or Christians as every group tried to secure dominance over the state. The best example of how brutal it was is the assassination of Emanuele II King of Jerusalem by radical Arab nationalists by lobbing a bomb into his eldest sons nursery when he came to check on his son they jumped on him and shot him for thirty minutes before the police managed to batter down the doors and kill them. The Federation of Judea was an absolute mess by the end of the 40's as the Palestinians wanted to join the Kingdom of the Arabs while the Jews wanted to establish a purely Jewish state all the while the Christians tried to ensure their dominance within the current system. The Federation of Judea was much like the rest of the Middle East a powder keg waiting to blow and it took the Ababan Riots to spark them. But your teacher is giving me dirty looks, so I will now be taking questions before she murders me.

The allies had been very inactive during the early 1940's but in 1945 with the beating back of Cronus's offensives towards Lord Yu the allies decided that the time had come to return to their major offensives with Operation Coffee Table. The first offensive making use of the new Interstellar Warships the operation was launched against Cronus as his front collapsed as Anubis launched his great attacks towards his capital planet. When his more isolated worlds were suddenly attacked with the usual overwhelming force against the Goa'uld while the allied forces tore past the perimeter around the Stargate in their light Landcrawlers. All the while the allied navies eliminated the Goa'uld forces in orbit. Cronus was forced to dispatch several Ha'taks back to the worlds under attack and humanities navies met their first true test at the Battle of Capricorn. Cronus had dispatched a single Ha'tak to the world while the allies had the HIMIS George V, the IJN Yamato, and the HIRMIS Nicholas II while three British regiments and a German Panzer battalion were on the planet's surface while the last Jaffa were pushed back to their last few strongholds.

The Ha'tak attacked with full force charging into orbit while the human warships were on the far side of the planet striking the largest Jaffa fortress from orbit. The Ha'tak managed to dispatch several hundred Jaffa onto the planets surface where they promptly ran into several Landcrawlers and were promptly killed within a few hours. Then as the Ha'tak withdrew from the orbit the HIMIS George V arrived at their rear and opened fire onto the rear of the Ha'tak which took out that troop compartment and the Death Glider's. The Ha'tak attacked back and it took the combined firepower of all three ships to take out the shields. After several hours of bombardment, the ship was finally destroyed and the first Goa'uld Ha'tak was destroyed in space by humanity.
