The communist revolution in Argentina had been tacitly accepted by the world powers due to distaste over the actions of the Military Government but they still did not really like having a communist state anywhere. They had enforced democracy onto the young regime though they put a unique spin on it that being it was illegal to be non-Socialist and stand for elections, so the major three Argentine political parties where born. The Communist Party of Argentina the leaders of the revolution and thus, they hold a lot of weight with the population. The second was the Syndicalist Party which unsurprisingly manages to every election win the votes of the unionised workers year after year. The final major party are the Anarchists which is surprising especially since they are by far the most militaristic and every now and again call for the reconquest of Patagonia from Chile before being shushed by the other parties. So that is a rundown on the political parties now let us return to the first election. The first election of the Argentine People's Republic saw the Communist Party gain over two-thirds of the seats in the Parliament and Victorio Codovilla won the Presidency with over 75% of the vote. The election was monitored with observers from Brazil, Germany, Chile, and the United Empire who all recorded that they found the election fair and that Victorio Codovilla had won the election honestly. With his mandate secured he turned to transforming Argentina into a beacon of socialism for all the world to see. This took the form of the first of many three-year plans. The first three-year plan was made up of three main pillars those being Connection, Education, and Rebuilding. Connection consisted of en-masse construction of roads and train lines connecting every Argentinian to each other and Buenos Aires of course this was not all out of the kindness of Victorio Codovilla's heart but so that of Argentina was invaded the People's Liberation Army could move to the front quicker. Education was focused on getting every Argentinean through at least a secondary level of education and many went higher which is why Argentina has the highest rate of university graduates in the world because school was free and easy to get to which meant that more people would go to university and benefit the nation and people. The final pillar was Rebuilding consisted of rebuilding the areas damaged during the Argentine Revolution and eliminating the last traces of the anti-Communist forces in the nation. The most notable example of this effort was the discovery of the Conquistador Cells groups of military insurgents left behind by the military government. First discovered during a routine patrol along the Chilean border the Communist Government discovered that there was a reasonably large underground resistance to their rule, and they were forced to launch a series of purges across the nation as they hunted down the Conquistadors. The effort lasted until the 6th of March 1947 when a group of Argentine soldiers stormed the headquarters of the entire Conquistador organization in a hut along the Paraguayan border. With their elimination and trial the last major threat to Communist Control over Argentina was dealt with coincidentally on the last day of the three-year plan. With the completion of the three-year plan and the elimination of the Conquistadors the Argentine People's Republic turned to the stars as they formed their first Interstellar Exploratory Team and dispatched them off to London to join the Goa'uld War.

The Argentine Interstellar Exploratory Team was arguably one of if the not the most important Teams sent from a minor nation with only perhaps the Ethiopian one challenging them in influencing the current state of the galaxy. The reason for this is simple the Battle of Vespucci that is the point that changed the fate of millions of Jaffa and still affects our galaxy today. The opening stages of the battle were normal enough the allies stormed through the Stargate established a perimeter and worked out the local geography to plan the campaign while the allied navies secured orbit over the planet. The only thing unusual was that a new flag flew over the allied headquarters that being the Argentine flag but that was it for the early battle. However, it changed three days into the Campaign when the Argentine force discovered a small group of Jaffa that had been radicalized into believing that the Goa'uld were not gods. The Argentine's took them under their wing and indoctrinated them into communist beliefs and the Jaffa took it a bit too far. Developing their own form of Communism, the Jaffa fled the planet managing to sneak past the guards on the Stargate and escaping to an isolated world where they began to develop their twisted ideology far from the influence of experts of actual communists. Three months after they escaped humanity received our first communication from the Jaffa People's Republic denouncing both the Goa'uld and the allies as reactionary, capitalist traitors to the proletariat of both humanity and the Jaffa. At first the allies just laughed it off how wrong they would be for the Red Star would rise over the Goa'uld Empire and it is yet to show signs of setting.

The Battle of Capricorn was a turning point for warship designs as it had taken three warships to destroy a Ha'tak, so humanity turned to improving their fist. The most important aspect was the lack of firepower and the way that it was approached is the beginning of the complete doctrinal difference between the Americas and Europe. The United States and Brazil focused on increasing the armour so that the ship could hold out for longer and take out their enemies over time. Europe on the other hand focused on adding both weapons and speed to their warships so that they could attack from any direction with enough force to take out a Ha'tak swiftly. Both sides of course collaborated and expanded work with each other.
