Chapter 2
Alister got into the car with James and Kyle and they rode off to the train station. The drive was 45 minutes, and the traffic was few due to it being very early in the morning.
"See ya later," Alister said to his friends as he left the car and went into the station.
"See ya too!" James said.
Alister met with a muskrat attendant who would keep him company, as he was too young to travel by himself.
"Alright," said the attendant, "are you ready?"
"Yes," said Alister excitedly.
They got on the train that left Bunnyburrow. There was a lot of snow on the ground throughout the ride. 3 hours later, the snow disappeared as they went over the bridge and into Zootopia. The place was climate-controlled so some places had snow while others didn't. They passed through Sahara Square, Tundratown, and the Rainforest District. Alister looked out the window, completely astounded with the city size.
Eventually the train pulled into Central Station. As soon as he got out he saw his relatives. Emmitt and Ashkii were standing there with their two-year-old son Corey in a stroller.
"Alister!" Ashkii said excitedly as she went up to hug him. Emmitt joined in too, while Corey was asleep.
"I made it!" He said, "and I'm ready!"
"Alright," Emmitt said, "it's noon right now and the concert doesn't start until 7 pm."
"So," Ashkii said, "that means we can take you snow-sliding in Tundratown."
"Oh yippee!" Snow sliding was Alister's favorite game. He taught it to James McMarmot back in Muskegon and found out how to do it by himself. He always had fun and hoped to teach his cousin once he was old enough.
They got into their car and drove to Tundratown. There, they found the biggest sledding hill. Many children were sledding on it with real sleds or sometimes but sliding down.
Alister immediately ran to the top of the hill. "Look at me!" He said as he reached the top, "I'm the king of the world!"
Immediately, he got onto his front side and slid down at high speed, faster than anyone else there. Once he got to the bottom, he immediately went back up. He slid on his back as well, and both feetfirst and headfirst. He was having the time of his life. Emmitt and Ashkii watched from the side, along with Corey who was still in a stroller.
Two hours later, they went back to the house in the Rainforest District. Alister unpacked all of his belongings. He soon started to get ready for the concert and put on a t-shirt that said "rock on" on it.
When he went upstairs, Emmitt and Ashkii were also pretty ready. Emmitt was wearing a Bat Religion t-shirt he had for 20 years while Ashkii was wearing a Social Distortion t-shirt.
Alister then had a short dinner of just baked fish and some candies for desert.
Before they could head off, the door was knocked on. They opened it to find a Coyote there in front of them. She was who they had hired to be Corey's babysitter.
"Oh hi there Clara," Emmitt said, "good to see you. As you know, we are going to a concert and I am taking my nephew. My son. However is not old enough."
"Alright then," said the babysitter, "I'll be here for the rest of the night until you come home."
"Thanks so much," Ashkii said, "Here is the nephew. His name is Alister and he is almost 9."
"Oh nice to meet you," said the babysitter as Alister came forth, "By the way I'm Clara."
"This will be my first concert," Alister said, "with my favorite band: Green Day."
"Oh great!" said Clara, "I've been a fan for a while. Saw them back in 1995 and many other times as well. Decided not to go for this one, but it will definitely be great!"
"It will!" Alister exclaimed.
Alister then followed Emmitt and Ashkii out of the door and onto the metro. They went right downtown. The further they went, the more crowded the train became. Soon, every passenger was going to be at the show. Many were wearing shirts from the band. Some were in regular attire, some had complete emo looks, and some even dressed as Billie Joe Armstrong.
"So," Alister said, "Everyone is going to this show."
"Indeed," Ashkii said, "they are an extremely popular band."
"And it is sold out," Emmitt said, "but our tickets are reserved.
The train soon arrived at the station.
