Author's Note: Missing scene to 2x14 Born Under A Bad Sign, the scene that would've happened had the title card not come in, right after Dean finds Sam. Dean's POV because obviously Sam is possessed by Meg.
Today's Whumpee: Sam Winchester
"Dean," Sam breathed out in a shaky voice. "Dean, I don't remember anything." His eyes were filled with tears, tears of fear.
"Shh, shh, we'll figure this out, okay?" Dean said, trying to keep his own voice steady. He was afraid. Afraid of what had happened to Sam, afraid to find out why his little brother was covered in blood.
He pushed himself up and sat next to Sam and wrapped an arm around his brother's shoulders. Sam leaned into him, trying to hold back his tears.
Sam was shaking against Dean as the elder held the younger ever tighter.
"I'm scared, D'n," Sam muttered. "I'm really scared. What if — what if I —"
"No, no, don't think like that okay?" Dean said, pulling back and framing Sam's face with his hands. "Listen to me, okay? You're a good person, okay? You wouldn't hurt anybody unless they deserved it. So just believe me, believe me when I say that whatever is going on, whatever it is, it's not your fault. We'll figure it out, okay?"
Sam nodded, the tears finally falling from his eyes. Dean pulled him into a full hug then, Sam's face buried in the crook of his neck and Dean's face buried in his little brother's hair. Sam's hands were clenched tightly around handfuls of Dean's jacket.
"I've got you, kiddo," Dean muttered, holding Sam tightly. "I've got you, we'll figure this out, I promise."
