From the beginning of the United States of America until 1955 there had been no formal Head of Government of the United States with the position falling to the President. But that had begun to change as Franklin Delano Roosevelt began to weaken in 1949. The movement began in the states of America with the strongest movements in New England, New York, and the Steel Belt though New England had a differing reason then the other two regions. For the American Worker's Party had long supported the creation of a separate Head of Government from the Head of State so when they managed to secure government over any state they promptly held a constitutional convention to establish one within the State's constitution. The first state to introduce a Head of Government was Ohio alongside the right of workers to form a union and to strike. The movement to establish a premier quickly spread across the Steel Belt with several states not under an American Worker's government introducing the position though it remained a very left-wing position which is partly why New York introduced the position before New England. In New England, the movement was different as it came mostly from influence across the border from the United Empire and embraced by the left wing of the Republican-Progressive's most notably by the influential Kennedy family. The first state to introduce the position of Premier was Massachusetts followed by Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, and finally New Hampshire. As the movement spread President Wallace outright endorsed it and called for its implementation on the federal scale which irritated the American Union Party even more so when Alaska and Baja California both ascended to the union with the position of Premier. The final showdown came before the election of 1956 with two amendments introduced to the federal government the first limiting the President to three terms and the second establishing a formal Head of Government position. The election was contentious with the American Union Party's Storm Thurmond supporting rolling back all of the Premiers across the nation, the Democratic-Conservative Russel Kirk tried to stake a middle ground believing in leaving it up to the states the American Worker's Party endorsed President Wallace due to his close views. The election was the last decided purely by the Electoral Collage with Wallace just scraping over the line by a single vote. With his re-election the support for establishing a separate Head of Government was decisively empowered.

The abandonment of Patagonia by the La Paz Pact allowed them to focus more on defensive positions and holding their ground with a general hope to secure a ceasefire allowing them to keep their gains which was laughably wrong not a single Windsor Powers supported ending the war. Instead they only made it worse for the La Paz Pact with landings along the Venezuelan coast managing to secure Caracas within a few days after breaking the Colombian defenders in several key places. The invasion in the north came alongside the air war being ramped up with BOMBER HARRIS sending wave after wave of bombers over La Paz, Montevideo, Lima, and Bogota until in some cases the sky was blacked out. But this still wasn't the greatest of the bombing raids that came on New Years day 1952 when Harris was ordered to set an example on Montevideo for what a nation would get of they hindered the war effort for the Goa'uld War in any way. BOMBER HARRIS was more than pleased to obey and gathered his squadrons for the final raid.
The final raid was the largest raid in human history attacking every major city within the La Paz Pact with wave upon wave of aircraft for an entire week straight the Death Gliders did not stop. The temperatures were so hot that the stone and concrete in the centre of the cities melted. Which meant that when the bombings finally ceased and the stone returned to its solid state that the heart of Montevideo, Lima, La Paz, Sucre, Bogota, and so many others was simply a solid slate of stone. The bombings were devasting and were considered a war crime by many citizens of even the United Empire not that BOMBER HARRIS would ever be charged with them. The effects on the La Paz Pact was devasting as you would expect with every leader expect Alfredo Baldomir reduced to ashes floating through the charred air he was able to seize power easily. On the 10th of January he gave a speech in Buenos Aires proclaiming the formation of the United Republic of America which consisted of every member of the La Paz Pact the new state tried to offer a ceasefire but they were flatly denied as the final offensive began.

The conference of Ùr Albion had aimed to establish a united alliance between all of the major allies of humanity but that had failed every race had disagreements with each other that were too large to ignore but humanity managed to secure a few things. The first was a pact of non-aggression between all of the attendees, the second was an agreement to share any methods found to kill Kull easily, the third and final was an agreement to meet once every Earth year on Ùr Albion to discuss the state of the galaxy. When the meeting closed with the grand representatives of each race glaring at each other while Tolkien gave a speech bugger all had been achieved but it was a start.

Humanity had not met many new species following the discovery of the Strigoi mostly finding humanity on far off worlds that would change in early 1952 when IIET-1 discovered the homeworld of the Qagar. A race of avian beings which look remarkably like Roast Chicken when cooked the Qagar only held a single world, but they were very advanced. Having developed nuclear fusion which while not as advanced as Tolkien's Matches generated a massive amount of energy. However, they had long since abandoned war which meant that when Anubis attacked they were unable to fight back. IIET-1 arrived just as the last few holdouts were annihilated. Moving swiftly IIET-1 managed to evacuate the last major holdout through the Stargate to the American world of Lincoln which was surprisingly beneficial. Since the Qagar were fiercely Republican believing in technology and merit rather then birthright which is just stupid in this modern day.
