Chapter 2:

Marinette's head throbbed, almost as if she got hit by Chat's baton a bunch of times and with her yo-yo combined. Her eyelids felt so heavy, but she managed to open them with a lot of difficulty. Wincing, she groggily moved out of her comforter, trying to discern about what happened last night.

"Did I dream all of that nonsense up?" Marinette questioned loudly, but then she gasped loudly by taking in her surroundings.

Marinette found herself lying on a huge canopy bed, with a dim morning light glistening through the bay window, and a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower reflected outside of the glass frame.

The room has a hot pink wallpaper with black skull designs, also with the floor being made up of a light purple carpet when her sock feet touch upon it. In the center of the room, is a circular rug with white and black tiger print design running along the edges. Upon going deeper into the room, there is her familiar chaise lounge to the right. However, its upholstery is black with white skulls, and it includes a black wooden frame and white triangular legs. Resting near the back is a burgundy throw pillow with thick red edges. A blue guitar rests against the chair instead of her red paper umbrella.

There is also a long white desk that has her computer, books, a jewelry box, skull pens in a cup, and a brand new sewing machine that she could have never afforded. A revealing dress on a mannequin and a full-sized mirror were near the desk. Marinette walked closer to the desk, clicking on her familiar computer, but then jolted backwards when pictures of Luka hit her screen wallpaper instead of Adrien.

"What on earth is going on!" Marinette yelled loudly, feeling her heart thumping faster by the minute.

"I can explain everything," A sweet voice proclaimed, which made Marinette look behind her.

Tikki stood in front of her, but Marinette knew this wasn't her Tikki. The kwamii had a black body, with crimson spots to represent a ladybug, but the dark color represented a darker color ladybug. However, the kwamii's purple eyes glistened with kindness, yet Marinette couldn't help but miss her kwamii's familiar dark blue eyes.

"I'm sorry, my Marinette in this dimension switched places with you, and put you in her alternate reality from yours." The other Tikki explained while Marinette sat overwhelmingly in the lounge chair. Everything started coming back to her, almost as if she's being hit by snowballs with oncoming memories, and there was no way for her to block it.

Tikki continued her tirade of an explanation, even though Marinette felt like she was in the middle of a mental breakdown. "My Marinette, she's not a bad person, she just got tired of being the hero all by herself and so lonely…"

"What about Chat Noir?" Marinette quickly cut in, which made Tikki widen her eyes at Marinette admission.

"Chat Noir? We don't have a Chat Noir, but a Chat Blanc we do have here. He's Hawkmoth's right hand man, always causing mischief and destruction to the city of Paris." Tikki explained sadly, making Marinette miss her Chat Noir more and having heavy sympathy towards Chat Blanc.

"Oh," Marinette replied dumbly, not really knowing what to say before remembering pictures of Luka in the other Marinette's computer.

"Did this Marinette turn bad because Luka dated another girl?" Marinette asked shyly, since she remembered the akumatized ladybug's tirade about how love could hurt you deeply.

Tikki grimaced at this, "Partly yes, but other reasons had to play a part in it. Hawkmoth akumatized Marinette in her mid sophomore year of high school, but Marinette held strong with her miraculous. Hawkmoth has all of the miraculouses, except for the ladybug one. He hates her even more, since he still can't manipulate her by being akumatized." Tikki laughed without humor before morphing the broken pocket watch into Marinette's hand.

"I should reword that, since you now have the rabbit miraculous. However, we had a little accident when we traveled through different dimensions. As you could see, Fluffy is now deeply asleep in the miraculous, until it's fixed again." Marinette touched the broken pocket watch, trying to wrap her head around this time loop she has found herself in.

"So how do I get home?" Marinette asked sadly, twirling the pocket watch in the daze. Tikki solely focused on Marinette when she revealed the ultimate plan.

"Something my Marinette couldn't achieve, you have to devilize Chat Blanc, if you ever want my Marinette and you to switch back to your original time dimension." Tikki admitted quietly, which made Marinette think that Dorothy didn't have to deal with this much shit to get back to Kansas from the land of OZ.

Before Marinette could retort, Tikki disappeared when two red French doors opened to reveal Mr. Fu in a butler attire.

"Madame Dupain-Cheng, your mother has returned from her business trip from Germany. She requests you to meet her in the restaurant inside the hotel before you head off to school. I know you love your rebellious outfits, and I always find any outfit you create charming. However, maybe wear something that won't give your mother a huge screaming match." Marinette stared dumbly at Mr. Fu's speech before pulling him into a hug.

"Oof!" Mr. Fu let out while returning the hug in bewilderment. Marinette knew in her heart this wasn't her Mr. Fu, but she needed a hug from him regardless.

"I dare say, child, are you quite alright? I do know you and your mother don't see eye to eye a lot, but she's still your mother and does love you." Marinette finally pulled away from him, staring at him in confusion.

'My mother and I don't get along?' Marinette thought quietly to herself, wondering what kind of life this other Marinette has been living in.

"I'm fine, Mr. Fu. I just have high hopes my mother and I can reconcile this time. I better get change, and it's so good to see you Mr. Fu." Mr. Fu stared at her one last time, then closed the doors behind him.

Marinette had a sense of clarity, knowing that if she had to act like the other Marinette, she better get an Oscar award for best acting when this was all over.

Marinette felt self-conscious when she headed towards the elevator. The other Marinette's fashion was so different from Marinette's regular wardrobe. Going through the walk-in closet, which made her feel like she was in her own personal mall. She basically dismissed half of the outfits out of her closet. Don't get her wrong, she loved the fashionable edgy styles, but some of the clothing was too revealing for Marinette's taste. In the end; she decided on a Jagged Stone band t-shirt, with ripped red jeans, and black combat boots that made her feel taller.

As she got dressed earlier, Tikki gave her the rundown of the other Marinette's life. Basically, they're filthy rich and live in Le Grand Paris hotel like Chloe. Her mother is a well-known neurologist that doesn't want her daughter to have anything to do with the arts. However, her father is a chief pilot that supports her daughter no matter what she wants to do. Sadly, her father is always on his job a lot, so she doesn't see him that much. Marinette did ask about the bakery, her father sold the family bakery about a year ago, and Marientte had a feeling that might have been part of the reason the other Marinette became akumatized.

Marinette fiddled with her hair nervously, even though she never let her hair down really. Tikki informed her about how the other Marinette had her hair down all time, except when she was being ladybug of course. Finally, the elevator dinged, which informed her to get into the tiny compartment. Once Marinette walked inside, she had to hold in her groan when she noticed the other Chloe. There always seemed to be a like/hate relationship between them, even though Chloe got a little better when she got a miraculous. However, the last battle with Chloe being the akumatized queen bee, left Marinette with mixed feelings.

Marinette waited for the insults or some snark, since this Chloe couldn't be any different from her original Chloe. Although, this Chloe didn't say a peep and kept glancing at Marinette in confusion. In fact, Chloe seemed to be in a defensive position, almost as if she perceived Marinette as the bully.

"Chloe?" Mariette asked hesitantly, which made the blonde jump in fright.

"What?" Chloe replied quietly, looking like a deer caught in headlights.

"Sorry, I just wanted to ask how are you?" Marinette tried to throw out an olive branch, since she has never experienced this Chloe so shy and not sure of herself.

Finally, a familiar anger swirls in Chloe's blue eyes, but Marinette finds herself surprised at what Chloe says to her.

"You, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the lady bitch. You want to know how I'm doing, even though you torment me and my friends all the time. Are you bored, my lady. Do you want to hear I was having a good morning, until you showed up." The elevator finally opened, revealing the glorious lobby, and Chloe stomped away from the gawking ravenette.

Chloe swiftly turned around, pointing at Marinette with a harsh glare. "You're a mean girl, Dupain-Cheng, you're a bitch who ruined my morning!" With that, Chloe's Gucci high heels walked off with style, leaving Marinette confused more than ever.

"Tikki, I don't know how I feel about your Marinette Dupain-Cheng, but she sounds like a bitch," Marinette proclaimed softly, even though Tikki didn't answer her.

Marinette walked towards the restaurant, hoping that her other mother had something nice to say about her. However, the moment Marinette sat in front of Sabine who had a permit scowl, and commented on Marinette's atrocious outfit. Marientte then concluded that she's not in the other mother's good graces either.

Marinette approached the school building, kind of glad to see nothing has changed so far in her high school. Although the breakfast Marientte had with the other mother, she tried her best to block out that disaster from her brain. Marinette missed her real mother more than ever. Marientte's real mother is kind, understanding, and easy approachable. However, the other mother is cold, calculating, and made Marinette weary around her.

Marinette could now understand the other Marinette a little bit more, thinking that the other Marinette was starving for affection, yet it was no excuse for the other Marinette to be mean to other people. Marinette knew Adrien's home life wasn't the greatest, but he was the kindest person she had ever met. Marinette felt a tug at her heart towards Adrien, and found herself curious as to what this other Adrien was like. Suddenly, she's being pulled into a half hug, and familiar reddish-brown curls get into her mouth.

"Girl, there you are! I have some juicy gossip for ya, so I need your help to play this out!" Alya explained with an impish grin. Alya looked the same, which Marinette was thankful for and couldn't help hugging Alya back tightly.

"Alya, it's so good to see you!" Marinette beamed loudly, but then froze when Alya gave her a peculiar look.

"You okay, girl? You never really hug anyone, including me as your best friend, unless something good has happened. Ooh, did you get laid, Mari? Is that why you're wearing casual clothing and not your usual attire. Ooh who was it, want sort of eye man candy did you grab this time?" Alya pressured with questions, making Marinette blush tomato red.

"I'm still a virgin, Alya," Marinette rebuttal back, even though she felt some embarrassment to admit that quietly.

Marinette knew about Alya and Nino's sexual relationship from her dimession, which Marinette didn't want to know, but Alya needed someone to confide in. Alya and her joked at times when Alya asked her about coming to the other side. Alya and her referred to the other side when you lose your V card to get into the other side. Anyways, Alya never made fun of her lack of boyfriend, even though Alya slightly joked about Marinette saving herself for Adrien. Although, with Adrien and Kagami dating now, which threw her in a loop to focus on someone else like Luka.

"Yeah, right, and I'm someone who hates blogging!" Alya announced sarcastically, while tugging her into the school.

Marinette's head felt distorted a bit, trying to put another important piece of information for use later. Before they got into the classroom, Marinette noticed a lot of the students stood clear from them, almost like they were royalty or something.

Once they got into the classroom, her familiar classmates looked so different, and everyone looked at her with different expressions. Some held fear, admiration, anger, and some threw lustful looks that she quickly ignored.

"Hey, Sabrina, what are you doing in our seats!" Alya exclaimed, giving Sabrina a bitchy glare.

Marinette frowned at Alya's hostile behavior, since she had only seen Alya malevolent like that when becoming akumatized. Marinette was about to retort that it didn't matter where they sat, and poor Sabrina looked like a sheep about to get attacked by wolves.

"Alya, leave Sabrina alone! What's the matter, Dupain-Cheng, you're letting your lady in waiting do all the work?" Adrien Agreste addressed her in a bitter tone, which made Marinette internally gasp at him.

Marinette felt herself shiver when those two green pools held open dislike towards her. He looked like a bad boy, which made her weak in the knees when he looked like the cover of one of her guilty pleasure romance novels. He had messy bed hair, also wore a leather jacket, and he had his feet on the desk. He looked calm and composed, but had a dangerous glint in his eye that screamed don't mess with me.

"No, I should have said something sooner. I'm so sorry Sabrina, you can sit here, do what you please. Come on Alya!" Marinette grabbed a stumped Alya while everyone stared at Marinette like she lost her mind.

Adrien didn't expect this, also he found himself more surprised when Marinette threw him a genuine shy smile, and sat at the back with Alya. Adrien briefly wondered if she's akumatized, but he could tell she wasn't. His father usually kept him up to date by who he akumatized, and Marinette hadn't been akumatized for a long time. He didn't understand why his heart raced when she smiled at him, and it's been awhile since Marinette ever showed decent kindness.

He knew his father wouldn't be happy, since Marinette causes lots of people to be akumatized. However, he wouldn't mind seeing how this might play out.

When class began, Marinette soon found out that Adrien and her hated each other from Alya. Adrien put a piece of gum on Marinette's chair, and didn't like him ever since then. Marinette then realized that Adrien must have never shared his umbrella with her. Leaving her in this alternate version; by what would happen if Marinette held in her grudge and never got things cleared up from the umbrella incident. The umbrella held so much significance, she then realized how much a single action could cause a different timeline.

If things were this bad, she had no idea how Chat Blanc would be like and felt like she had a lot of work to do if she ever wanted to get home.
