Whilst Yuri was being seen too by the doctors on board the Watchtower Superman called an emergency meeting with the of duty heroes on board the space station.

"As some of you may know, my fight against Metallo was interrupted by a young hero calling herself Silent Tempest, real name Yuriko Koboyashi." Superman informed the gathered heroes before clearing his throat. "After speaking with her, we know that she, alongside three of her fellow heroes came from a different dimension through a portal that ended up being a one way trip, for obvious reasons she doesn't have a place to stay so in the meantime she will be staying aboard the Watchtower, any questions?"

"Why did they go through the portal in the first place?" Green Arrow asked after putting his hand up.

"Several villains from their world had broken out of jail and stolen a portal generator, as far as she knows, those villains are still at large." Superman explained before holding up the pictures of Kat, Ehsan and Marco. "As for her friends, their names are Dragon Girl, real name Katrina Sheng Lao, Earthshaker, real name Ehsan Sayegh and Mental Boy, real name Marco Gordano, these heroes are far from home and the sooner that we can locate them, the better."

"And I'm guessing the portal dropped them off at different locations, otherwise we wouldn't be looking for them?" Green Arrow asked and Superman nodded. "What about these villains they chased into the portal?"

"Their names are Target, Hellraiser and Shockwave, based on her descriptions of all three we should consider them to be extremely dangerous." Superman explained before clearing his throat. "Yuriko was willing to get involved in my fight against Metallo and she told me that she and her friends had been doing this for two years, we're not dealing with rank amateurs here and any help that they can receive will be greatly appreciated, we haven't decided if we're going to induct them into the league yet but until they get a place to stay they will be staying up here as I said." Superman added before turning to Green Arrow. "Arrow, Canary, can you make sure Yuriko joins you on the search? I think she'd rather be on the ground than up here."

"On it." Green Arrow nodded before he walked away with Black Canary and once the rest of the heroes went their separate ways, Superman turned to J'onn.

"Did you make sure that the heroes on the ground got that?" Superman asked as he walked up to the monitors.

"Yes, Flash and Batman will be on the lookout as well." J'onn nodded as he turned to Superman. "With any luck, we'll find them before they get seriously injured."

"One can only hope." Superman nodded before he started watching the monitors.

*a bit later*

She had been at the Watchtower for am hour but Yuri it felt like she had been there for a lot longer, the fact that she was in a satellite orbiting the earth was not helping that fact either as the Japanese women drummed her fingers on the table.

"I always wondered if you could get a wi-fi signal in space." Yuri thought as she stared at her slowly dying iPhone which wasn't picking up any signal, she had returned to the room after she had gotten checked for injuries following the fight against Metallo and had given the Justice League a description of her friends' costumes. "Guess I finally got my answer, in hindsight I'm surprised that I expected any answer other than "no"." Yuri thought before the door opened again and she looked up expecting Superman.

Instead she got Green Arrow and Black Canary. "Yur-I-Ko, Yur-E-Ko, sorry I don't mean to be rude but how do you pronounce your first name?" Green Arrow asked and Yuri shook her head.

"You had it right the first time, though to be honest my friends and family just call me Yuri for short." Yuri responded as she shook her head. "I take it you haven't had any luck finding my friends…..."

"Oh right, I'm Green Arrow, she's Black Canary, and yes Superman did fill us in on your situation." Green Arrow introduced himself and his companion and Yuri nodded. "As for your question, no, even with the photos you provided and the costume descriptions we didn't have much to go on."

"Which brings me to our next point." Black Canary chimed in as she stepped forward. "You know them better than anyone else up here so Superman figured that it would be better if you assisted in the search rather than spend all your time up here."

"You have no idea how happy I am to hear that." Yuri responded with a sigh of relief before she stood up. "Between the lack of wi-fi signal and not really having much to do up here I was getting bored out of my mind, where are we starting our search?"

"Star City, it's also where I'm based." Green Arrow responded before Black Canary cleared her throat. "Oh right, the other thing."

"Yuri, be honest, did you bring a change of clothes on this trip?" Black Canary asked and Yuri shook her head.

"No because I thought it'd be something that would be done in one night at most." Yuri admitted with a huff as she folded her arms. "Me, Kat, Marco and Ehsan didn't expect to take a one way trip to another dimension."

"We thought that might be the case." Green Arrow nodded before holding up a credit card. "Which is why Black Canary's taking you clothes shopping once we're on the ground, and I'm paying for it."

"Appreciate the offer but I can pay…..." Yuri trailed off before her eyes widened. "Great, I left my purse in the other dimension! And that's not a sentence I ever expected to say in my entire life!"

"Supes said you had been doing this for two years?" Green Arrow asked and Yuri nodded. "You get used to the weird sentences once you've been doing it long enough, don't worry about paying me back either, I can cover it easily."

"Like I said, I appreciate it." Yuri nodded in appreciation before putting her mask on. "That said, I'm going to have to follow your lead here because I, obviously, don't know the city that well."

"Just consider it the Green Arrow/Black Canary tour." Green Arrow joked before the two older heroes led Yuri out of the room.

*in Gotham City*

The portal had deposited Kat off in a dark alley in Gotham City, she looked around and quickly realized that she was alone.

"Didn't think it was possible to make New York's alleyways look like paradise but here I am." Kat thought as she flew out of the alley and landed on a roof, now that she was alone on the roof, she took in the scenery around her. "Spotlights, blimps, did that portal take me back in time?" Kat wondered before getting her phone out, she breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that it was still working and checked her location. "Gotham City? Wonder if there's any…" Kat trailed off before one of the spotlights in the sky caught her attention, or more specifically the Bat Signal. "I thought I had seen it all in my career as a hero, guess not." Kat thought before she took flight, after a quick look around the area she was able to figure out where the signal was coming from. "Northwest of here, looks far but with my wings out I should get there in no time! Extract!" Kat ordered her wings to extract and they spread out before she flew off.

*later*

When she found the source of the signal Kat had reached the GCPD and saw an older man standing next to the spotlight, however she flew low when she saw Batman arrive a few minutes later and hugged the wall just below them.

"Long night Jim?" Batman asked Jim Gordan who nodded before turning off the Bat Signal and approaching Batman.

"You could say that, Killer Croc's broken out of Arkham." Jim explained not realizing that Kat was listening in. "Last I heard, he was held out at the docks but it's only a matter of time before he commits another crime."

"I'll see what I can do." Batman nodded as he turned to walk away. "In the meantime, it seems we have an uninvited guest."

"Killer Croc, docks, guess I'd better follow tall, dark and brooding up there and…." Kat's thoughts trailed off as she heard the last part. "He couldn't have seen me, right?"

"Katrina Sheng Lao?" Batman asked Kat and she nearly jumped out of her skin before looking up and seeing Batman looming over her. "Piece of advice, if your trying to spy on someone, don't leave your wings out."

"I knew I forgot something." Kat sighed before she flew up onto the roof with her arms crossed. "How do you know my name anyway?"

"I'll explain later." Batman responded as he started walking towards the roof edge. "But if your as powerful as your friend says, then you can help with Killer Croc."

"Friend?" Kat echoed before Batman glided off. "Hey, wait!" Kat called after him before she took flight and saw Batman enter the Batmobile. "What Marco wouldn't do for a car like that!" Kat thought before the car sped off and she followed the car.

*later*

Kat followed the Batmobile from a safe distance whilst taking in the scenery around her, that wasn't the only thing she was doing, however.

"Tall, muscular, I doubt that car came cheap either." Kat thought as she flew around the city. "Either he's a rich idiot with nothing better to do than fight crime or a rich guy who lists fighting crime as one of his hobbies, and that brings up the other question, like where is he getting the money from?"

"Katrina." Batman's voice rang out through her earpiece breaking her train of thought. "Do you know where Marco and Ehsan are?"

"Unfortunately, no." Kat responded with a sigh before putting two and two together. "Yuri's the friend you were talking about, isn't she?"

"If you mean Yuriko then yes, she is." Batman responded as he drove along. "My associates in the Justice League will do everything they can to get you and your friends home safely, but it'll take time."

"That's reassuring." Kat responded with a sigh before spotting the docks out in the distance. "What can you tell me about this Killer Croc guy anyway?"

"His real name is Waylon Jones and he was born with a rare genetic condition that gave him a crocodile like appearance." Batman explained as they neared the docks. "Initially he was a side show wrestler before he turned to crime, he has enhanced strength, speed, agility, reflexes, stamina, senses and durability as well as reptilian teeth, claws and scale like skin." Batman explained before they reached the docks, Kat landed on the docks first just before Batman emerged from the car. "And accelerated healing."

"Bet Marco will be glad that he didn't have to face him." Kat thought as she glanced over at the Batmobile. "Your colleague said that he had broken out of Arkham?"

"Yes, one of my associates is investigating how as we speak." Batman nodded in response before motioning for her to follow him. "He was serving time after his last crime spree, which included several murders where the victims were partially eaten."

"Can't help but wonder how dad would've dealt with a criminal like that." Kat thought as she started messing with her braided hair. "He always said that all life is precious, but even that has to have a limit, right?"

"Something on your mind?" Batman interrupted Kat's train of thought and she shook her head. "I'll go on ahead and scout the area, be ready for action."

"Right." Kat nodded before glancing over at her reflection in the water. "At least going through the portal didn't damage my costume." Kat thought as she looked her reflection over, her red and black costume with white material for her wings consisted of a crop top and pants and was largely unchanged from her teenage years. "Just let me know when…" Kat trailed off when she looked up and realized that Batman had already left. "Hope the other Superheroes in this universe aren't as rude as him." Kat thought with a sigh before turning towards the warehouse.

*elsewhere*

By now Yuri had brought at a hundred dollars' worth of women's clothing with Black Canary and Green Arrow but that didn't mean they didn't have work to do because they were soon back on the hunt for her friends.

"When Cap gave us the assignment earlier, I had no idea that it would lead me to buying a whole wardrobes worth of clothes." Yuri thought as she sat down on a park bench where the three heroes had stopped for a rest. "And on that note, I need to get a Facebook page set up, I have one in the other dimension obviously but, well, I didn't exist in this world until today." Yuri thought as she started going through her pictures on her iPhone.

It was one that gave her pause however, namely the picture that she had taken with her parents after graduating high school, Yuri let out a sad sigh which didn't go unnoticed by the older heroes. "Are they your parents?" Green Arrow asked when he saw the picture and she nodded.

"Yeah, this was taken after I graduated from high school." Yuri nodded as she lowered her head. "I won't go into detail, but high school was not a fun time for me, at all, but they were there every step of the way." Yuri added before leaning back. "I don't know if it's because they had high expectations of me because my dad's a doctor or whatever but back then I didn't feel like I belonged in high school and I was miserable for it, it wasn't until I started getting home schooled that I started to find my feet."

"I hear you High School can be rough." Green Arrow responded sympathetically as he put a hand on her shoulder. "And don't worry, you'll be back home before you know it."

"Thanks." Yuri responded with a small smile before they heard a bank alarm go off. "No rest for the wicked, huh?" Yuri sighed as she turned her head to the direction where the alarm sound was coming rom.

"At least Metallo won't show up this time." Green Arrow nodded in agreement before Yuri pocketed her phone and he got on Black Canary's motorbike. "And if he does, may I suggest that we sit it out?"

"I'm not fighting a cyborg twice in one day." Yuri nodded in agreement before they took off.

*back in Gotham*

"Katrina." Batman's voice rang out through the earpiece breaking Kat's train of thought. "I see Killer Croc, get on the roof and wait for my signal."

"On it." Kat nodded before she took flight and flew up to the roof of the warehouse, she spotted a window and knelt down next to it. "Bats, I'm on the roof, and…" Kat trailed off when she saw the massive hulking figure stomping around. "You didn't mention how big this guy is!"

"Because I didn't know, his condition must've mutated somehow whilst he was in Arkham." Batman responded as Kat watched the much bigger Supervillain. "Also, don't call me Bats."

"Right, right." Kat responded with a gulp as she kept an eye on the monster. "I'm getting flashbacks to my fight against the Hulk and that's not a memory I'm comfortable reliving!" Kat thought as she ran a hand down her face. "At least I'm not fighting him alone, and based on what Batman said, he shouldn't be as tough as the Hulk, then again I can list the beings that are as tough as the Hulk on one hand!" Kat thought as she waited for the signal.

*inside the warehouse*

"I've got your scent Batman." Killer Croc snared as he sniffed around the room whilst Batman stalked the shadows. "I will devour your flesh, break your bones."

"Don't count on it." Batman responded before he emerged from the shadows and threw three battarangs at the hulking beast which bounced off Killer Croc's skin harmlessly. "I'm sending you back to Arkham Jones."

"I am stronger than I was before Batman!" Killer Croc growled as he got ready to pounce. "You don't stand a chance and no prison can hold me!" Killer Croc added and Batman nodded towards Kat once he saw her through the window which Kat took as the signal to join in. "You will make for a fine meal."

"Didn't your mother ever tell you to not play with your food?" Kat asked rhetorically before hitting a roundhouse kick to Killer Croc's head sending him flying into a wall and bringing it down atop him. "There's no way that he'll go down that easy."

"Fresh meat." Killer Croc snarled as he moved the rubble from atop him and snarled at Kat as she hovered in place. "You will make a fine appetizer."

"First off, my name's Dragon Girl, not fresh meat." Kat responded as she got ready for battle. "Second, you won't enjoy eating me! I'm nothing but skin and bones…" Kat never finished her sentence as Killer Croc leapt from the rubble and grabbed her into a bearhug. "This guy isn't much for banter, good to know."

"I will break your bones Dragon Girl, then your real agony will begin." Killer Croc snarled as he toghtened his grip on Kat, Batman then leapt onto his back and delivered a spinning kick to his face breaking Croc's concentration. "I will get to you momentarily Batman!"

"Tell me, how well done do you like your crocodile skin?" Kat asked the Supervillain through gritted teeth as she got ready to breathe fire and Killer Croc turned to her. "Well done or extra crispy?" Kat added before breathing fire right in Killer Croc's face forcing him to break his hold on Kat as he screamed in pain whilst clawing at the flames on his face. "I'm definitely feeling that in the morning!" Kat thought with a wince as Killer Croc regained his composure.

"You will pay for that!" Killer Croc roared before he charged right at Kat as the much smaller hero flew right at his face, Batman quickly joined in and a three way tussle ensued as Kat and Batman threw punches at Killer Croc's face and body. "You cannot win!" Killer Croc roared before swatting away Batman and Dragon Girl with a single arm sweep.

"This isn't unwinnable like the Hulk fight but it's definitely up there in terms of my toughest fights." Kat thought as she fought her way back to her feet. "Only one trick I haven't tried, the spin dash, but will it even finish him off?" Kat thought before taking flight. "I have to try."

"I will enjoy feasting on your bones…" Killer Croc never finished his sentence as Kat did the spin dash at him flying at high speeds while spinning to build up momentum before crashing right into his chest, the momentum was enough to send the pair flying threw what was left of the warehouse wall before Killer Croc finally fell off the dock, Kat stopped herself just in time and took several deep breaths as Killer Croc's unconscious form float to the top.

"Not bad." Batman commented and Kat looked up too see him approaching her. "But just like Yuriko, you would benefit from further training."

"If all the villains here are as tough as this guy, I'm inclined to agree." Kat nodded as she caught her breath just as several GCPD cars pulled up. "You never told me how you knew my name."

"My associates told me to keep an eye out for a young Chinese woman with wings, even in this like of work, you stand out." Batman responded simply before contacting the Watchtower. "J'onn, I found Katrina, she's ready to be beamed up."

"Understood." J'onn nodded and before Kat could respond she was beamed up to the Watchtower.

*seconds later*

When Kat was teleported to the Watchtower the best way to describe her look was "dear in the headlights" as even through her mask she looked dumbfounded as she took in her surroundings.

"I'm in space?" Kat thought as it sunk in before Green Lantern approached her.

"Katrina Sheng Lao? Welcome to the Watchtower." Green Lantern greeted her as Katrina stepped off the teleportation pod. "You don't have to explain anything, your friend Yuriko filled us in earlier."

"Where is Yuri?" Kat asked once it sunk in and Green Lantern turned to her.

"Out searching for you, Marco and Ehsan, we just have a few things to go over with you before we let her know." Green Lantern explained before leading her into a side room. "It's not all good news but we will do everything in our power to get you and your friends home safely."

"Thanks, I appreciate it." Kat nodded before she sat down and removed her mask. "Don't suppose you know where my boyfriend landed, do you?"

"Marco? We're still searching for him." Green Lantern responded as he shook his head and Kat lowered her head. "We have a lot to go through so make yourself comfortable."

"I'll try." Kat nodded as she shifted her weight. "What else is going to happen tonight? Between going through the portal and fighting a tough supervillain I don't see how things could get weirder."
