It is 05:00 am in the morning. A cargo ship and an air freighter arrives in the east coast of America.

"DADDY'S BACK, YOU BITCHES!"

*knocking*

"DADDY'S BACK, YOU BITCHES!"

After almost 7 months on a cargo ship known as the Platypus, Niko Bellic gets ready to dock by knocking on the captains's quarters where Dave, the captain, getting switches from an asian women.

"Dave, come on," Niko calling Dave. Dave ignores Niko as he keeps getting pleasure from the switching asian. "Come on."

A crew mate named Hossan Ramzy walks by and sees Niko knocking. "Niko, what are you doing."

Niko responds, "Dave is not coming."

"Ah, ignore him," Hossan says. "We got to get this thing before we dock. Let's go."

Minutes later, Niko and Hossan climbed up the watch tower of the ship.

"Here pass me that," Niko pass a cargo box to Hossan as he looks at the view of the great city. "WHOW YEAH! There she is... Liberty City. You ever been?" Niko responds with a No. "Crazy place, Niko."

As he and Niko climbed down, a group of chinamen puts a travel bag of heroin in the back of a car. "So, what you going to do?" Niko asked.

"I might come back on board... or I can just make a go of it. Like they say, it's the Land of Opportunity. I always wanted to make it big... own a nice place, get a dog, a house... live the dream." Hossan answered.

"Like my cousin," Niko said

"Oh yeah?" Hossan curiously questioned.

"Yes - he's got the lot - house, women, cars, parties... he writes me in his wild e-mails, and after I got into trouble, I thought maybe uh... and then I got this gig, and I spend the next 7 months with you fine people and I forget..."

While walking past the kitchen, a cook with illegal real, cut diamonds, putting in a mix of cake.

"After the war finished, I couldn't get a job, nobody could, so I, uh, did some dumb things and got involved with some idiots..." Niko says.

"Ahh, we all do dumb things... it's what makes us human and not ghouls." Hossan said.

"Could be." This has never crossed his mind. Niko forgot that ghouls exist in America as his homeland of Serbia never had any as the mutations began years after the Yogaslav Wars. However for him, he was not afraid.

After the Platypus docks, immigrants, inducing Niko, came off the ship to meet their families or something else. With Niko, he was waiting for his cousin Roman which so happans that a company cab owned by him drives down the downward road to the docks and pulls up in front of him, revealing to be his cousin. "Hey," Niko surprisingly greeting.

"Niko! My cousin! I can't believe it! You're here!" Roman greeting Niko. "Welcome to America!"

"Good to see you, cousin," Niko in Serbian. Roman gets confused.

"What?"

"Good to see you, man - what, you forget our language?"

"Uhhh..." Roman in his weak Serbian language. "...cabbages? Maybe a little. I've been here 10 years! You can speak English. Remember, we learned off the English girls with the big..."

Niko stops him. "Hey, a little... not so good."

"Ahh, youll be fine. Better than my Serbian." Roman admits to himself as he grabs Niko's luggage. "So good to see you cousin. I can't believe you made it! Ha! Shit..." He struggles to put Niko's luggage in the trunk. "I have to tell you I had quite a night last night. Two women! The land of opportunity. I've made it! Shit, man, I'm still a touch drunk."

"A Touch?" Niko said has Roman takes a swig of alcohol from a 24/7 supermarket.

"MY COUSIN IS HERE!" Roman says out loud. "WE'RE GOING TO RULE THE WORLD!"

"Woah! Roman, Roman, come on, come on, relax." Niko tries to calm Roman down.

Then some dock workers eavesdropped on the Bellics' and one of them cuts them out. "Yeah, yeah, whatever, buddy. Just take over the world someplace, alright?"

"Yeah, buddy!" The other worker said.

"You're in the goddamn way."

Then Roman comes back at them. "Screw you... screw you all! My cousin is here!"

"Hey, come on, man," Niko again tries to calm Roman's drunkerness.

Roman yells again, "Niko Bellic! He's the fucking man, bitches!"

"Roman, come on, let's go... to the mansion, eh?"

"Yes, the mansion! Whoa. Maybe you should drive..." Roman suggests.

"Maybe I should," Niko agrees.

"Okay!"

"Okay," Niko says back as he notices that Roman was driving was driving a cab. "Hey is this a cab? Where's the sports car?"

"Err, it's in the shop... come on!" Roman lies as he and Niko drive to Mohawk Ave. where he lives and Niko's adventures begin in Liberty.

It's hard to leave Tokyo for the rest of the Anteiku family as it hurts to leave everything they love: friends, family, life, etc. But thanks to the CCG and their 20th ward raid to hunt down the One-eyed Owl, which who is revealed to be the manager of their own business Yoshimora, and it's success, Kaneki, Touka, Hinami, and Nishiki forced themselves out of their own country that they lived for a long time as the CCG knows now who they are and where they lived; they are too dangerous the be for any one who comes in contact with everyone in Japan, but not in America, for what ghouls call "Free Havena," as they allowed ghouls to live lives fullest. However, it still hurts for Kaneki and Touka.

Kaneki just saw his best friend Hide die in his arms as he participated in the 20th Ward raid and left his body to the CCG investigator who looks like him before returning to Touka and the rest of his friends, for that he regrets joining Aogiri.

For Touka, she misses Yoriko and the times she had with her and her cooking, but she knew that she must not get close to her, and in fact, not see her at all. She also had to give up her school life and everything she worked for just leave and start a new life in America, for she wishes everything was back to normal but she guesses that it's what's called REALITY.

For the rest, including Hinami, and Nishiki, they could've stayed since the CCG was after Kaneki and Touka, but they had decided to come with them since they have nothing there for them to live for in Tokyo.

They snuck on an air freighter bound for Liberty City, since it's illegal to have ghouls leave any country CCG occupied except humans. They were helped by the captain of the jet who helped them bypass airport security. It turns out they actually boarded a ghoul refuge cargo freighter as the others try to get into America as well as ordinary humans who are fleeing Japan.

~~"Attention passengers, we are now landing in Francis International Airport."~~ The captain speaking on the PA. ~~"Welcome Liberty City of America folks. You're free now."~~

The sound of being informed that they were finally in America was pleasing for the rest of the immigrants of Japan. For Kaneki, it's like starting life again, but once he and the rest of the immigrants got off the jet, he kinda had a little excitement going through him since he wanted to travel new places but nothing like this. It's like landing on another planet.

They make through the exit from the gates to the runway while riding on a Ripley, again bypassing airport security, and got off the Ripley as the gate polls rose by workers who secretly worked for Congressman Tom Stubbs, as he allows immigrants to come through the boarders but kept it secret.

"Well, this is it," Touka gradually said. "Liberty City."

"Yes, it is," Kaneki said. "No more CCG, no more wards, no more-" He struggles to finish. "Just no more trouble."

"And certainly no Tsukiyama," Touka chuckles a bit then calms down. "You know, I still can't believe you came with us."

"I know," Kaneki acknowledge her.

"I know I shouldn't say this, but why? You could have stayed and gone god knows where. What made you changed your mind?"

Before Kaneki could say anything, Nishio yelled "HEY TAXI" as, irregularly, two black taxi cabs pulled up on them. "We can talk about this later. For now, lets enjoy our stay here."

"Yeah, your right," Touka replied. "Besides, we need to find a place to set up shop here. Thats our first priority. We should also probably divide and conquer."

"Alright, then. That sounds like a plan." Kaneki then heads for and opens the cab's passengers door. "You first."

Touka then blushed a little. "Thanks."

Touka got inside the cab as well as Kaneki afterwards, then the rest got into the second cab.

Kaneki pans around the front of the back of the cab. "Let's see, there should be a map- Ah, here it is." He grabs a map and looks at possible destinations to establish shop somewhere. He then thinks about finding an apartment to live at. "If we don't find a place to set up shop, at least we can find a place to stay. Is that OK Touka?"

"Of course, we sure ain't gonna live on the streets," Touka says as she knew that this city is also most notable for the amount of crazy hobos living in the alleys and believe that aliens walk among the people and abduct them for their sperm.

"Hey, don't want to rush, but time's ticking here," the cab driver said. "I don't mind saying this, but there is a shop up for sale in china town in Algonquin. That's where you can set up your coffee shop there."

Both Kaneki and Touka get surprised. "Wait, how do you know we're in a coffee business?" Touka in a loud surprised tone.

"I just know these types of people around this city," the cab driver explained. "But I do have tell you that getting to the bridges is going to take a very long time since they've been shut down because of terrorist activities in the city."

"Well great," Touka pouted. "Just when you get an opportunity at something, life kicks you in the ass."

"Come on, Touka," Kaneki said to her. "We'll figure something out." He turns to the driver. "Is there a faster way there, sir?"

"Not I can think of," the cab driver responded. "But I can tell you that there's another shop also for sell here in Broker, and it's not that pricey."

"Well, can you take us there?" Kaneki asked.

"Why not?" The cab driver said as he dialed the GPS in the front. "I'll get you to there in the fastest rout possible."

"Thanks."

The cab starts to move as well as the other cab as it starts following it as Nishiki and others told the other cab driver opposite behind told him to follow the cab in front.

"Oh, hey driver," Touka asked. "Is it ok to tune in the radio?"

"Sure," the cab answered her as he tune into the radio from WKTT, a conservative talk radio, to 97.3 Liberty Rock Radio and as it ends with Queen's "One Vision," a Weazal news report begins broadcasting.

~~~"WEAZAL NEWS!"~~~, it begins with.
"Yeah, I'll turn it up for you guys, since you're new here, you might as well know what's going on in this city," the cab driver says as he turned up the volume.
A male starts with, ~~~"IS THERE COUNTER GHOULS STALKING THE STREETS OF LIBERTY?"~~~ Then a female follows next, ~~~"IS THE DRUG PROBLEM GOTTEN OUT OF HAND?!"~~~ And last another male starts with, ~~~"GANG WAR BETWEEN TWO NOTORIOUS BIKER GANGS!"~~~
This caught Kaneki's and Touka's attention when they heard the first thing of the report.
Then Bryan Wilkinson starts reporting. "Rumors circulate the streets of Liberty of Counter Ghouls as the rate of unusual ghoul killings rise out of proportion, as possible eyewitnesses seen a ghoul killing in an alley in Bohan that left a 33 year old man named Kyle Wright of Broker brutally decapitated and his instinctive reactor (what americans call Kagune) ripped out of him. Eric House on the scene." It then switches to Eric House.
"I'm at the scene where the murder happened. It also appears that a clue to the murder was left that might have prove that a counter ghoul was involved, but police are uncertain at this time. I'm with a local resident who was here at the time, witnessing the murder." He then switches to the local witness.
"Yeah, was coming out of the Triangle Club, walking back to home, since I lived near the joint, and all of a sudden I saw a ghoul trying to fight this other person who had some kind of supernatural weapon that looks like a ghoul's reactor, but it was handheld. Then for a split second, that dude cut that other dude's head off and I ran, shitting myself before running into a blind policeman driving is damn car into my stomach and told the dumb cop what I just saw. Damn, can this city get any worse?!"
It then cuts back to Eric House. "Thanks for sharing. Eric House, Weazal News."
As news report moves on to the drug problem and the biker gang war between the Lost MC and the Angels of Death, Kaneki and Touka started to wonder and got concerned.
"Ok, now I'm a bit worried," Touka commented. "I hope that this doesn't get involved with us."
Kaneki then looked at her. "Don't be worried. There just rumors, we'll be fine. I bet they're not concerned about us anyway."
Touka then to agree uninsurgently, "Well you better."
Kaneki then gets a little worried and starts thinking, Lets hope that nothing could get any worse than before.
Little does he know, as he and the rest of his friends progress in Liberty, they'll know for certain that things can get worse.
"We're here," the cab driver says then stops as well as the other cab on the side of the road of Mohawk ave. "My boss will not like this, but I'll make this run on the house since you guys are new here."
"Really?" Touka surprised. "Thanks."
"Anytime," the cab driver acknowledged.
As Kaneki, Touka, and the rest got out of the two black cabs and looked at the building for sale.
Hinami walks to Touka. "Is this it?"
"I guess so," Touka tells Hinami as she looks at the not-too-perfect-but-will-do-just-fine building where they'll set up their coffee shop.
