Chapter nine:
(Canon alternative reality)
Marinette Dupain-Cheng applied a little bit more of her dark lipstick, until she found her entire appearance satisfying. She couldn't understand herself being so nervous, even though she has already been on three dates with Luka. Beforehand, back in her other dimension, Marinette has been on so many dates and different relationships than more of the purses she has bought. She compared her relationships to purses, seeing how the guy she had on her arm, either would be the latest new boy toy or saw her as their purse. Sometimes, they thought of her as their price, even though they couldn't be more wrong. Purses could be easily disposed for the latest trend, and that is how Marinette saw them with her relationships. However, dating Luka has been different, and he's one thing she wanted to treasure forever.
Marinette took her purse, finding the purse ironic for being blue, which matched Luka's personality. Marinette walked herself out of the room, not needing to say goodbye to Tikki. Marinette found herself lucky for Tikki not being around lately, especially when she met Gabriel earlier. Marinette held in her dark chuckle when she left Gabriel flabbergasted in his office. Gabriel wanted ladybug and chat noir's miraculous, even though the old fool didn't know ladybug was right in front of them. Gabriel assigned her to stir up trouble, especially to a worthy candidate who would be the ultimate akuma. Marinette agreed, but with money of course.
Sure, she has enjoyed living in the other Marinette's life, but she has missed her luxurious spending money. Marinette decided to play being Hawk Moth's pawn, using him as her information for what he wanted with those miraculous, and how does this whole wishing thing work. Once she has found out everything she needs, she would take Chat Noir's miraculous, and selfishly use both the miraculous for her own gain. More than anything, she wanted to know who the hell was behind the Chat Noir's mask, so she decided to stay in this alternate reality until she could figure out Chat Noir's identity. If Marinette could gather through those different dimensions by who Hawk Moth identity is, she should have no problem figuring out Chat's identity.
"My, don't you look pretty, sweetie. Doesn't she, my dear?" Sabine asked her husband who gave her a grunt for his acknowledgment.
Marinette found herself being fussed over by the other Marinette's parents. The first time the other Marinette's parents greeted her warmly in the morning for breakfast, she almost thought they were joking. She has never seen her parents have the same hours, and eating together like one big happy family. She would never forget being hugged by the other mother, thinking of how much this was what a mother's embrace felt. Marinette's own mother was back in her own dimension; her hug felt suffocating and made her entire body feel cold, yet this hug reminded her of a nice warm summer day. Again, Marinette felt herself being hugged by the other Marinette, and she tried so hard not to hug back too tightly.
"Be sure you're home by eight, sweet pea!" Tom boomed with a huge hug, reminding her so much of her other father back at home.
"Oh, Tom, Dear. Marinette, just be home by nine like usual, you know how your father is!" Sabine said while kissing Tom before he could protest.
Marinett never had a curfew before, and she would hear how her other friends complained about curfew. However, Marinette's other parents didn't care if she would be home or not, but Mr. Fu of course. Although, he didn't really have much authority over her, yet she would listen to him most times when she would be back at the hotel or inform him she was safe. As for her parents, she barely heard from them, but her dad more than her mother. She hated how other kids complained about curfews, at least your parents cared about you returning back into their lives.
"So where are you crazy kids going to this time, and make sure he knows that I want you in good hands!" Tom exclaimed afterwards, making Marinette laugh.
She remembered her first date with Luka, trying so hard not to laugh with Tom trying to intimidate him. Luka took it like a champ, shook her father's hand and looked him straight in the eye. Marinette tried so hard not to preen on sight, since she has never let any boy meet her parents back in her own dimension. Marinette knew most likely the other Marinette probably never brought a boy home to introduce, so she did the other Marinette a favor by getting herself a boyfriend her parents approved of.
"We're going to this great burger joint, then getting some ice cream by the lake, and then I should be home by then." Marinette said before waving them a farewell.
"We love you and please be careful!" Both of the parents yelled back, making Marinette pause for a bit.
She wondered for a moment, if she could stay in this dimension, until she graduated. Suddenly, Marinette had a Cheshire Cat smile, making Marinette have another idea by what she could wish for.

"It's a pretty night out, Marinette," Luka commented to her while they both shared their ice cream under the stars.
Marinette nodded before putting her head on Luka's shoulder. They sat on the bridge that's under the Seine river, looking at how the white-hots star complimented the dark water. Suddenly, she felt something cold on her cheek, and glared at Luka in annoyance.
"Really, Luka, is that how it's going to be!" Luka laughed loudly as Marinette tried to put ice cream on his cheek.
They started chasing around each other on the bridge, Luka then quickly grabbed her and twirled her around. Marinette couldn't even remember the last time she laughed like not having a care in the world. They both froze for a moment, almost like someone shot a photo of them, and they found themselves timeless in the picture. Marinette had never felt this way before, even with her Luka back in her home dimension. She felt like she didn't have to pretend to be someone else, even though she's pretending to be the other Marinette. However, the way Luka looked at her, he somehow could bring down all of her walls.
"There's something different about you," Luka mussed before interlocking his hands with hers.
"I hope it's a good thing," Marinette replied with a laugh, hoping to shake off his suspicion.
Luka stared at her for a moment, but then he shook his head and smiled at her. Before Marinette could blink, he pressed his lips to her. She moaned in appreciation by putting her arms around his neck, bringing himself closer to her. They've kissed a few times when she randomly went up to him the first time and kissed him passionately.
Luka's head spun that day when Marinette went up to kiss him at school, and then told him let's share an ice cream after school. Ever since then, they started going on dates and getting to know each other. Luka knew something was different about Marinette, which he couldn't put his finger on. Although he couldn't help finding her more attractive, since this rebellious side began to bloom into her more. It's almost like they compliment each other, almost as if a missing puzzle piece, has finally came into place.
Throughout the night, they kissed like the teeangers they were. Marinette felt like the pit of her stomach was lit by a cool flame, slowly enclosing her until she finally pulled her lips away by the heating burn. Marinette gazed at luka in daze, then gingerly putting her hand on his soft cheek.
"I've never felt this way before about anyone, and it scares me so much." Marinette admitted shyly, trying to hide the vulnerability within her. Before Luka could respond, she bit his bottom lip and found himself in bliss with Marinette.
They finally pulled away from each other, then Marinette giggled in joy.
"What is it, my muse?" Luka questioned, his eyes filled with mirth.
Marinette rolled her eyes before taking some lipstick off his cheek. He saw this, making him laugh also. For the first time that night, Marinette didn't compare Luka to her own dimension, and she pretty soon needs to discern her feelings at the matter. Unknown to her, both of the Lukas' in both their dimensions, have both kept a secret from her for when they graduate senior year.
(Back to alternative reality)
Chat Blanc woke himself with a start, but then gazed down at the sleeping ravenette in his arms, assuring himself that he was safe. He looked out the window, noticing how the morning sun is about to make an appearance, and knowing that he would have to leave pretty soon. As long as Chat could remember, he has never felt so content before in life.
Sure, he would admit that he had his fair share of lovers, yet they never stayed long with him. They never really tried to attempt to see the real him, so he started to give up by throwing more of a bad boy untouchable image. For so long, he just wanted to feel something, since he found himself numb most of the time. Every damn day, he had to bite his tongue and keep his perfect mask from crumbling. However, the girl in his arms, Marinette Dupain-Cheng has seemed to unmask him with no problem. Chat could never under how Marinette got under his skin, even though she's the only one who has really pushed him without even trying. More than anything, he has never in life desperately wanted something in his life.
Chat came to a realization, he's admitting to himself that he cares a lot about Marinette Dupain-Cheng's well-being. Before, like when he was fourteen, he only crushed on her for her rebelliousness. Now though, getting to know these different aspects with her, he found himself liking her to no return. Chat kept everyone at arm's length, even his best friend Nino. Chat already lost his mother, so he found himself so afraid to let someone into his heart. Already, the little ravenette has crept herself into his heart, and he's not sure how he feels about that.
"Chat!" Marinette mumbled into her sleep, getting herself more comfortable onto his chest.
Chat smiled at her cuteness, gingerly playing with her hair. He sighed before unwrapping herself away from him. Marinette grunted in protest, but then he put an extra pillow for a next replacement thing to snuggle with. Chat knew he had to get home, but he still didn't want to though. He decided he would just skip school for the day, then wait for his father to leave the mansion, so he could crash back on his bed. Slowly tip-toeing himself away from her room, he then halted because he didn't want her to wake up alone without something. Quickly, he left her note, even though he would love nothing more than to stay in bed with her. Suddenly, a bunch of thoughts began to tease his brain, but then he quickly shook them away. Marinette groaned out loud by snuggling in closer with the cat plushie, revealing a bit of skin rolling down from her shirt. Chat grunted in pain, even though he wasn't physically in pain.
"You're such a tease, princess," He whispered to himself before leaving the note by her dresser.
Before he could stop himself, he kissed her on the forehead, and then reluctantly left Marinette to her sleep.
On her dresser, the note said:
I never realized, you were such a cuddler, my kola princess.
I'll see you soon!

Marinette Dupain-Cheng walked into the classroom, noticing how everyone got quiet when she entered. She noticed how Alya waved her hand frantically at her, so Marinette quickly made a beeline towards her. Everyone in the class started talking in hushed whispers, pointing at Marinette and then quickly looking back at the front.
"Girl, you're the talk of the class. There's been rumors circulating that you drove with Adrien on his death eater motorcycle." Alya whispered with a gleam in her eye, making Marinette snort at what Adrien calls his motorcycle.
Marinette totally forgot about the school drama of yesterday, since all she could think about was what happened last night. Marinette tried to hold in her blush, remembering how nice it felt with Chat Blanc cuddling against her, and how he sang her to sleep in dreamland. Being huddled against him, leaving themselves in darkness, made her feel like it was the only two of them. She remembered deliriously waking up sometime at night, clutching onto him like a lifeline, and then hearing him chuckling at her in amusement.
When she finally did wake up in the morning; she found herself alone in her bed. However, she did find a note he left her, which made her blush in embarrassment at the memory. Alya mistook Marinette's blushing for something dirty, making Alya wiggle her eyebrows suggestively.
"Do my eyes deceive me, but did you ride something besides his motorcycle!" Alya laughed when Marinette hit her hard in embarrassment. Honestly, it seems like any Alya that Marinette would meet, the girl would have no filter.
"No, it was nothing like that! He just dropped me home like a perfect gentleman, and he helped me out with troubling predicament." Marinette replied before her eyes went sullen at the memory of Nathaniel.
Alya frowned at her, beginning to wonder where Adrien stayed last night. Before Alya and Nino left for school that morning, Gabriel's assistant questioned Nino on where Adrien was, saying how Adrien didn't come home last night. Although Alya overheard Nino talking on the phone with Adrien on their way to school, finding out how Adrien waited for the mansion to be empty before he entered this morning.
"I wonder where Adrien is?" Marinette questioned quietly to herself, but Alya heard her which snapped her from her thoughts.
"Hey, look, I'm not sure what you're doing with Adrien. But last I heard, his father slapped him pretty hard or something, and God where Adrien went last night after that. I just don't think you should toy with him, cause he's going through a lot of stuff." Alya said, not even caring if she's defending her supposed arch enemy.
Alya tried her best not to overhear Nino's conversation with Adrien, but her heart went out to Nino, since he didn't know how to comfort his friend. If Marinette is playing with Adrien, Alya didn't want no part with it.
Marientte's eyes glittered with anger, "I'm not toying with him, Alya. I really want to be friends with him and be a decent human being. I can't believe his father smacked him-" Marinette stopped her ranting for a moment, not noticing how Alya gaped at Marinette's selfless.
Marinette couldn't help feeling that she's had this conversation before. Unknown to her, she's closer to uncovering Chat Blanc identity than she realized.
Thoughts and thanks for reading :)
