Summary: How a part-timer at Takesushi impacts mafia-dominated Namimori, Japan. In other words, Working at Takesushi's well deserved rewrite.

Chapter 1: The Day I Can't Take Any More Advil aka The Beginning of Armageddon

Working at Takesushi is an experience that is hard to describe in a few words.

...Challenging? Not really.

...Stressful? No...

I guess it's safe to say that my experience was, for lack of a better word, enlightening. Prior to my time here, I was completely oblivious to the anomalies of what I thought was a small little town, and man; once you see it, you'll never unsee it again.

Can we just talk about how there always seems to be a two year old in a suit wearing outrageous costumes and no one seeing it? That same two year old is always carrying a gun too! Where did he even get that?! There's always another toddler with a fucking bazooka, and I-!

Just the sheer amount of little kids I see doing the most outlandish things is enough to make my head spin.

Hi, I'm Kamiya Izanami, resident of Namimori the entire 16 years of my life, and here is my final verdict: Namimori is the strangest place in Japan.

Period.

"Can someone get me some tea? Oji-san banned me from taking more Advil."

"We only have water, Kamiya. Are you having your daily monologue again?"

"Daily? Do I really do it that often?"

"Yes."

I made a face.

The bell on our door jangled, signaling the arrival of someone into Takesushi. Fighting wordlessly with my coworker, I eventually lost and got my ass up to head over to who had arrived. I flashed my business smile and said in an octave higher, "Welcome to Takesushi!" My smile immediately disappeared.

"Oh, Nee-chan! Perfect timing, Oyaji told me to buy some teabags for you before I came here, so–"

"Yamamoto Takeshi."

He blinked. "Yes?"

"PUT ON A DAMN SHIRT!"

After giving a certain baseball idiot a screamfest of a lecture, Tsuyoshi-san placed the plastic bag of tea Takeshi was holding in my hands and sent me home early. His original intention was that I use the tea in lieu of Advil, but it turned out to help my hoarse voice more.

"Oh, Mi-chan, are you returning from work?"

I turned to see my neighbor, Sawada Nana, seemingly just arriving from running errands. "Good evening, Nana-san. Oji-san decided to release me early today, so I'm earlier than usual."

Nana-san frowned at me, which wasn't really much of a frown on the kind woman's face. "Mi-chan, how many times have I told you to call me Baa-san? I grew up with your mother and have known you since you were born!"

I grinned sheepishly. "Sorry... force of habit."

"Well don't forget it!" She blinked. "Now that you're here, why don't you join us for dinner, Mi-chan? It's been so long since I last talked to you, and our family's been getting bigger you kno-"

"S-sorry, Nana-san! I was just planning on relaxing for the day, if you don't mind..."

She glanced at the plastic bag I was holding, and smiled. "Alright. But don't think I'm going to forget, young lady!"

I grinned. "I'll hold you to that on another day! Have a good evening, Nana-san!"

"Baa-san!"

My grin grew. "Baa-san." I bowed and went on my way to my house, which was a few houses away from the Sawada residence. Entering my small home, I smiled softly. "I'm home, Okaa-san."

I placed the plastic bag of tea on the table and took out a box, then a teabag. Making myself a cup of tea, I eventually sat on my couch and smiled at the picture of my mother next to the porcelain pot of her cremated remains.

"Want to hear about my day?"

yello~~ the Trash Can here!

I decided I would rewrite Working at Takesushi, because I felt it was a great idea that was poorly developed.

2015 Ally was one that did not do her research, had many plot holes, and didn't bother about spelling errors and just bleh. I'm going to be a first year in college, for those who had no idea, so do the math to see how old I was when I wrote WaT.

anyway, obviously this isn't a story that needs to be read after my original, but it is the same idea as my last.

judging by the reviews I received throughout the past 4 years, it's safe to say that the errors I made were major, and could've completely changed the entire plot. Because I ended the story in 2016, there wasn't anything I could do. But now I'm here LOL.

hopefully you guys can see my growth in writing? Because 2015 Ally... just no.

also I changed her name because 2015 Ally was unoriginal and used her own name for her character LOL so the reviews about Ally the character made Ally the author uncomfortable.

*for those who want to skip this long ass note, basically I'm back with a rewrite! Hope you guys enjoyed this, new and old readers alike.

the trashiest trash of all trash to ever trash the earth,

ally
