Will has been at Lydia's bedside for a couple of days; never leaving; even sleeping at the hospital watching her. Will has formed a bond with Lydia; not a romantic one but a friendship.
Will wakes up and sees Jack entering the room.
Will sits up from the couch and rubs his eyes. Jack looks at him with sincerity in his eyes then he looks at Lydia.
Jack asks "How is she?". Will looks away from Jack and looks at Lydia and says "She's still the same, but she has some movement.
Jack is relieved. Jack looks at the clock and then at Will. Jack says Don't forget you have class today". Will says "Yeah... I was just headed out to the Academy.
Will leaves the room. Leaving Jack with Lydia.
Jack pulls up a chair next to her. He hears Lydia breathing through the breathing tube and holds her hand. Jack tells her "You wake up when you are ready; no matter if it's in a couple of months or years; you have all the time in the world".
He kisses her forehead. Jack gets another phone call from the board about a meeting about Will. Jack leaves the hospital also.
Jack comes from a long meeting with the FBI Board; he sighs from the thought of them replacing Lydia and the board asking for a psych evaluation for Will. He wants this day to end so badly.
He had talked with Will about seeing Doctor Lecter to get his psych evaluation.
Will is in the field at another crime scene, he gets into his zone and he shoves an oxygen tube into the man's nose, then covers his eyes and mouth with duct tape.
Will speaks "I choose this man. I do not bind his arm or legs as I bury him in a shallow grave. He is alive but will never be conscious again."
Climbing out, Will shovels a load of compost from the wagon and holds it over the man, preparing to dump it on him.
Will dumps the dirt into the grave, covering the man. Will turns away to get more dirt from the Radio Flyer wagon.
Will continues "He won't know he's dying. I don't need him to. This is my design." When Will turns back to the grave he stops cold. Will sees Hobbs lying in the grave staring at him and smiling and then Hobbs turns his head and looks at Lydia next to him gasping for air trying to stay alive.
Will looks at Lydia scared out of his mind; he tries to look away from her but then Lydia asks him "Help me Will" She tries to grab him. Will closes his eyes abruptly and then opens his eyes. There is Garret Jacob Hobbs or Lydia.
Will breathes a sigh of relief, relieved to be alone with the dead. Then all of a sudden the fungus covered arm grabs Will by the wrist, a rattled, wet gasp signals a sharp in-take of air.
