Chapter 2 The Legend of the Gobblewonker
"Are You ready for the ultimate challenge." Mabel said "Yes." Dipper said
"Then you know what this means." Mabel said. "Syrup race." Dipper and Mabel said in unison as they were trying to make the syrup drop to their mouth but expectedly Mabel won. "Oh look no way Mabel look at this." Dipper said "Human sized hamster ball.*gasp* I'm human sized" Mabel said "What no not that this." Dipper said, pointing at the article about a monster contest. "We see weirder stuff everyday." Dipper said "You took pictures of the gnomes right." Dipper asked "Nope just memories and this beard hair." Mabel said "Why did you save that?" Dipper asked as Mabel just shrugged her shoulders as she didn't know "Hey morning knuckleheads do you know what day it is?" Stan asked "Happy anniversary." Dipper said in confusion. "Mazel Tov." Mabel said "No, it's a family fun day genius." Stan said while hitting Dipper in the head "We're cutting off work because we're going to have those bonding type deals." Stan said "Grunkle Stan is this going to be like our last family bonding day." Dipper said as he remembers them in a basement counterfeiting money. "Ugh the county jail was so cold." Mabel said "Ok I swear I wasn't a good family caretaker but today we are going to have some real fun." Stan said. "Now who wants to put on some blind folds and get in my car." said Stan "Yay." Dipper and Mabel said "Wait what?" Dipper said in confusion. "Oh can I come along." Meliodas said in an enthusiastic mood. "Alright but bring your own boat." Stan said "I don't need that I can just fish with my hands." Meliodas said. "Suit yourself." Stan said as him and the kids get the car and head out with Meliodas running after them following them to the lake. "Alright take the blindfold off." Stan said to Mabel and Dipper "Ta da Its fishing season." Stan said "Yeah we know." Dipper said. "How?"said Stan "I heard Meliodas say he was going to catch fish with his hands." Dipper said "Come on why don't you fish with me? I never had fishing buddies before." Stan said "Well what about Meliodas." Mabel asked "Well he would sometimes come but most the time he ends up having to leave which was always strange." Stan said "Dipper I think he genuinely wants to fish with us." Mabel said "Hey I know how to cheer you sad shaps up." Stansaid reaching in his pockets. "Pow Stan family fishing hats." Stan said putting caps on both Dipper and Mabel's head "Those are hand stitched you know. Its just going to be me you and those goofy hats on a boat for ten hours." Stan said. "Ten hours." Dipper said in shock "I got the jock book." Stan said as he pulled out a book of 10001 jokes uncle approved. "No no!" Dipper said scared "There has to be a way out of this." Mabel said "I seen it I seen it again." AN old man said as he ran through the tables destroying everything. "I just saw the gobblewocker come quick before it skuddles away." The man said as he walked to people shaking them to enthusia is his story. Then the man stopped and started what seemed like dancing. "Aw he is doing a happy jig." Mabel said "No this is a jig of grave danger." the man said as a man came out the hut and started spraying the man. "Hey what did I say about scaring my customers, this your last warning dad." The person that seems to be the old man's son. He then started telling the story of his proof but know one believed him except for 2. "Mabel, did you hear what he said." Dipper asked "Aw donkey spittle." Mabel responded "No the other thing about the monster." Dipper said "If we get the prize we can split it 50/50." Dipper said "That's two 50" Mabel said. "Imagine what you could do with $500." Dipper said as Mabel daydreamed about having the hamsterball and being the most popular girl there. "Grunkle Stan change of plans instead of fishing we are going to find that gobblewonker." Dipper said as he and Mabel started chanting monster hunt until the old man tried to join making it awkward. "You dudes say something about a monster hunt." Soos said as he pulled up
"Soos." Mabel said as she was happy to see him. As she fist bumped him. "Where's Meliodas, isn't he here." Soos asked "He was but now he is gone." Dipper said in confusion until "Boo." Said Meliodas as he appeared out of nowhere. "Where were you?" Stan asked "Well I was getting a fishing rod." Meliodas said "Wait why." Dipper asked "Well we are going monster hunting and this is the closest thing to a sword that I got." Meliodas said as if it was obvious " Why would you use that as a sword." Mabel asked "Well it is shaped like one." Meliodas said "Alright guys let's think this through," Grunkle Stan said "You could go on a monster hunting adventure with Soos or you can learn how to tie knots and put worms on the lure with me." Grunkle stan said. So then Mabel and Dipper looked back and forth. To either choose to go with Soos on his awesome boat or go with Stan in his wrecked boat. They decided to go with Soos. So they set off on the journey but then came back for sunscreen but then went back and started their adventure on Scuttlebutt Island. As they got there Soos was making jokes with Mabel, Dipper was Scared a little and Meliodas was content and careful as he held his fishing rod which he broke in half and held it like a sword. As they went deeper they lost their lantern. As they went deeper the thought they found the gobblewonker but it was just beavers. "What are we going to say to Grunkle Stan? We ditched him over nothing." Dipper said as he heard a weird noise and the water shaking causing the real gobblewonker came out and started chasing them. As they were running Meliodas stayed behind and tried fighting but the fishing rod was useless so he ran with them. Once they got to the boat they started driving away just to be stuck in a corner. They had nothing to do but drive through the waterfall which was also a cave. As they walked to the beast it turned out it was a machine with the old man in it. Turns out his name was Mcgucket and he was a genius but crazy. When they realize it was a lie the decided to go back. "So what are you going to use the last film for." Mabel asked dipper. "Well we should take pictures of this memory with Grunkle Stan." Dipper said. "So what are you guys doing here aren't you supposed to be monster hunting." Stan said annoyed "Well even though we want to take a picture of a dinosaur the only dinosaur that we want to take a picture with is you." Mabel said as they all took pictures of this memory forever.
