Chapter 52

Once she hears of what went on, she agrees to throw their plans out the window, once she is better. "Poppy said in a weeks' time I'll be healttthy enough to walk again withouttttt the shakkkkes."

So a week later, Hermione gingerly made her way down the makeshift aisle at the Shell Cottage on her father's arm. Arthur agreed to officiate and Luna and Fleur agreed to be on her side as George had Bill and Fred on his. They exchanged simple golden bands that had their initials and the date engraved in them with the runes for love, fidelity and trust.

Their wedding lunch was Chinese and Janet made a small cake. George simply moved into her bedroom officially and that is where they stayed for their first night as a married couple, with ample silencing spells applied, so they could make as much noise as they wanted.

Seeing Hermione walk down the aisle towards him was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Having almost lost her to the crazy Lestrange witch and Greyback makes him choke up. Thank Merlin his father uses a quick ceremony, because he wants to kiss his wife.

The "reception" was a blur as he just held her hand and ate with his left. Once inside "their" room, he takes his time undressing her and then himself. They slowly and gently become man and wife on the bed, as he is afraid of hurting her even more. When she indicates that she is fine and needs more stimulation, he decides that the wall looks inviting.

The whole night they make love, sleep, talk cuddle and get reacquainted with each other, before doing it all over again, and again. He can't leave her alone.

The next morning, Dan and Janet hand the deed over to Hermione and George. "If we come back to live, we'll find another house. That seems a slim chance." Dan tells them, then turns to the other love birds. "Make sure to send us an invite, Susan."

The red headed nurse nods and laughs at her fiance's blushing face. "I will, Sir."

George and Hermione see her parents off to the airport and return to the Granger, now Weasley home.
