Chapter 59- Epilogue

A curly, bordering on bushy, blonde haired girl pulls out of the Weasley pensieve. This was the last night of her summer before the start of her seventh year at Hogwarts. Tomorrow morning, Persephone Io Malfoy will be attaching the Head Girl's pin to her student robes and following in her mother Bell's footsteps. Her brother Perseus was moving up to seventh year prefect, for Slytherin.

Peri's being sorted into Hufflepuff was a blow to their grandfather, Draco. His wife being a Puff, didn't register until she started laughing. Great-grandpa Lucius was at that point not surprised, as Peri spent a lot of time with Hannah and Susan Potter around. At least, Perse was the typical Malfoy Slytherin.

Peri turns to the only other person in the room, her grandmother Weasley. Hermione Weasley was celebrated as a war hero, a successful business woman, the smartest and most powerful witch in history. While this all was very true, the greatest thing in Hermione's estimation was being a good wife, mother and now grandmother. She spent time baking, gardening and just listening to her grandchildren. She knew more about them than their parents did.

Seeing history repeat itself in the terms of Peri's relationship with a rouge of a young man and said young man breaking her heart, Hermione decided to show her their family story, which she saved for just this kind of thing. Perseus had never shown any interest in the story, or any need to hear it as he had been seeing the same girl for three years now. Both Hermione and George agree with Draco and Hannah on the idea that most likely the young Miss Aspen Spindle will be the new Lady Malfoy. As for Peri, her former boyfriend, Hyde Leveret was no better for her than Richard Corner was for her mother, Bell.

"Nanna, I didn't know that Mamma had gone through the same thing. It always seemed like her and Daddy were together since infancy." Peri began.

"No, child. Bell met your father the summer before her seventh year. Your mother was with Ricky Corner before that and it wasn't pretty. He used her to not sink in the rough waters of school grades and allowed his friends to make her the fool. Ricky had a wandering eye."

Peri nods and sits down to listen to her grandmother. As hurt as she was by Hyde's infidelity, she knew she had did the right thing in breaking up with him and will bounce back, like her mom did. She was going to do the same thing too.

After a week, of dealing with her feelings, which she found was mostly just mildly dented in comparison to her mother's some fifteen years before. Peri felt she was mentally ready to move on without the worry of rebounding or worse, taking the fool back.

After she is sure that her future sister in law is in the right mind, Aspen invites her cousin along to a Malfoy family party for Lucius' 75th birthday. Bobby Spindle was accepted to become a new employee of the Golden Feather, as the new chef. It was a major deal as he had just graduated from Hogwarts' new technical program. He had always thought that Peri was too good for Hyde Leveret of all people.

Hermione just hoped this wasn't going to become a serial thing for the women of their family.

On a bright July day in 2052, Hermione and George Weasley arrived home from the wedding of their great-granddaughter, the now Mrs. Susanna Jane Potter. The circle had come full circle. The table set aside for the old fogies was full. There sat Susan, Harry, Hermione, George, Draco and Hannah, all enjoying the festivities. That said, they didn't join in too much. They were too old now.

The next morning, Bell and Scorpius stopped by to visit while still in town. When her parents were not in the kitchen, like always, she went up to their room. There she found her father had passed and her mother was non-responsive. Scorpius called St. Mungo's and they came immediately, but were still too late. Hermione had passed in her sleep.

Aside from the honeymooners, who would be gone for more than a month, everyone was in town right now. Harry demanded to be in charge of his "sister's" funeral and that of her husband also.

Far above, Hermione sat in the home of Sirius Black, updating him and Remus on what was going on down below, as even though they did watch over them all. The Marauders were happy that their kids lived decent lives with loving spouses and children. The best thing for Hermione, she didn't have to look over her shoulder for Molly.
