Chapter 1: The storm
You've heard this story before, right? The story of the all-powerful Avatar and of his brave and courageous friends who risked there lives protecting him. Of brave and beautiful Katara who loved him more than anything. Of stubborn yet resilient Sokka who never gave up no matter what even when he became somewhat anoying he always had a plan in the end.
And stubborn strong willed Toph who may seem tough but cared deeply for her friends and became the first bender to invent a new type of bending. Then there's the banished prince. Zuko. An enemy once who'd obsessively would stop at nothing to capture the avatar to gain his fathers respect only to realize he didn't need his fathers respect because his father saw him as a disappointment, and so he turned his back on his tyrant father and joined the Avatar and his friends.
Then there's the Avatar himself. Aang , a happy 12-year-old boy always positive and always trying to protect his friends. Even if it means making the hard choices his friends would never agree with. But Lets not forget Appa Angs best friend and flying sky bison and Momo the silly and cute lemur who is always at Ang's side.
But what if I told you someone was missing. This is the story of a friend who changed the avatars life for the better. This all started long before Aang ever met toph and long before Zuko joined the team.
I know I shouldn't be out flying in this weather Aang thought bitterly to himself as he struggled to see through the rain. "Its not my fault!" Aang shouted startling Appa. "Sorry buddy."
Aang rubbed his tired eyes he hadn't been able to sleep at all these last few days. He had this strange feeling, he wasn't sure what it was though. It was like...Something was calling him. But what?
He kept having weird dreams that didn't make any sense. They were a bit difficult to remember but he knew something was calling to him. His eyes soon slowly started to drift shut as he sat in the saddle. Thunder echoed across the sky startling him awake. Some how without realizing he'd accidentally flown into the storm! "Appa fly us out of ! Yip!"Appa obeyed but the storm seemed to have other ideas.
A strong gust of wind suddenly ripped Aang from the saddle. "APPA!" Aang shouted as he hit the water. Suddenly he saw a light glowing in the water below him and blacked out as he was sucked beneath the waves. Meanwhile his friends called out to him worried. "Aang!" Aang! Katara looked out over the vast ocean. "Katara look!" Katara looked to where her brother was pointing.
Appa was flying towards them. Aang! She called out. No one responded. That's when she saw Appa's Saddle was empty. Appa landed shaking out his wet fur before landing in a tired heap. Katara ran up to the Bison. "Appa, where's Aang?" The Bison gave a sad moan.
"Katara we don't know….Know what?!" That his dead?! Katara shouted holding back a chocked sob. "He could be!" Katara gave her older brother a withered glare as she fought to hold back her tears.
Sokka Wrapped a thin arm around his sister. "I'm sorry I'm just trying to be relistic." "W-We have to find him." Katara sobbed. "We will. I promise, as soon as the weather clears up we'll go look for him." Katara growled frustrated breaking free from her brothers grip. "That's not good enough?!" What if he's hurt. "What if he really is- Katara!" she looked to her brother tears streaming down face. Sokka sighed. "Look I promise, as soon as the storm clears well go look for him." She sighed. Fine! She looked back towards the stormy sea. "I just hope he's alright."
Meanwhile Aang awoke in a strange place. He was in a small colorful tent He looked around in confusion. "Where…...Where am I?" The boy asked aloud. "Your in the Court of Miracles, boy." The boy jumped startled. W-Who's there?
A stranger stepped from the shadows. The man had tan skin and was dressed from head to toe in purple. Who are you? Aang asked cautiously. "Relax, boy if i wanted to kill you you'd be dead already." He said eyeing the boys defensive posture.
"Allow me to introduce myself. "I am Clopan Trouillefou king the gypsies and who my young friend, may I ask are you?" I'm…Aang hesitated. Should he really give this stranger his name?
Well, boy? Aang. My name Aang. He raised an eyebrow at his slightly foreign name but shrugged. Well then it is very nice to meet you...Aang I must go now lots of work needs to be done. Wait…..Where exactly am i? I told you where you are wernt you listening. you're in the Court of Miracles. Farwell. Wait! Aang glared at where the man had been only a few seconds ago. What was the Court of Miracles?! Aang thought confussed. "How did I get here?...and where Exactly is...here?"
