The three girls sat at the pier for several hours. They sat, talked a little, told jokes, and played a few games, but Kermit never came. The sun began to go down and Jeanette rushed to Lucy's side. "You sure he will come?"

"He has to," Lucy whispered back. "I know he will. The story cannot continue if he doesn't come."

Kylie kept pacing. "Well, it's getting late. We should try checking into a hotel if we're going to wait."

Lucy sighed. "Alright," She walked back and looked once more towards the bayou. "But tomorrow...we come back. He will be here." And they rested for the night, where there was no more to be said.

The next day, Lucy and friends walked down the street, heading back to the dock. They were ready for their frog friend to meet them so the journey could continue. Walking even further, they saw an atrocious sight. Someone was putting up a billboard reading "Doc Hopper's French Fried Frog Legs". Those horrid meals made the girls wretch in disgust.

"Ew, gross," Jeanette was the first to complain. "Who would want to eat frog legs?"

"I sure don't." Lucy had been offered them before at a French restaurant back home, but declined eating them. She did not understand the appeal of eating frogs. It was revolting. Though the girls tried their best to ignore it and move on. But then, something caught their eye. It was a miracle in the making. "Look!" Lucy pointed down the road. "He's here. The frog came back!"

Kermit was riding down the street with a bicycle. His long, gangling legs cranking the pedals. Despite his amphibious nature, the frog was quite nimble, able to bike up the massive hill with ease. He rode along as happy as he could be, but was not paying attention to where he was going. "Look out!" Lucy tried to alert him to the frog legs billboard, but Kermit did not see. He rode right near a steam roller, but got stuck in the asphalt as the pavers came forward.

"You heard her," a construction worker barked. "Get off the asphalt. Stay clear." Then, a steamroller came and crushed the bike. Jeanette and Kylie hid their eyes, but Lucy followed Kermit upwards. When the smoke cleared, the bike was a horrid wreck, but Kermit jumped up near the sign, sitting comfortably on the scaffolding. He had survived the encounter!

"That's pretty dangerous, building a road in the middle of the street," Kermit remarked. "I mean, if frogs couldn't hop, I'd be gone with the Schwinn."

Lucy and company raced up to the frog. "There you are," Lucy waved. "Remember us?"

"Oh, yeah," Kermit waved back. "You girls with the agent. Nice to see you."

"Did we ever get your name?" Kylie asked.

"Kermit," answered Kermit.

"So I guess you're going to Hollywood after all?" Jeanette added in. "That's the boost of confidence we needed."

"Oh, yeah," Kermit smiled. "I guess I am."

"Hey, hey," another construction worker called out to the group. "You four have caused enough trouble today. Get down from there, frog!" And Kermit hopped down next to the girls.

Taking a few steps back, the party went further into the city. "Alright. So I am going on the journey, and I guess you'll help me there. Do any of you ladies drive?" All three shook their heads no. "Well, we can find something I guess."

"But first, let's find some place to eat," Kylie interrupted. "I'm starving." So they all looked for a place to eat.
