Hello my darlings, I do apologise on the delay, it has been one hell of a fucking day, week, month. I hope you are all keeping safe and sound from Coronavirus.

I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Beth POV

It was finally the last day I am going to spend in the hospital, I would leave sooner but he police wanted to talk to me and Jade and her family. I knew exactly what they were going to tell us. I was not ready for the fireworks or explosions, I had already gotten Jade to forgive her mother and Bridget, though she didn't talk to me for a couple of days when she found out I knew about the cheating way before she did, but that is a story for another time.

"Bethie, are you ready to go home?" Cat said to me, sitting at the end of the bed.

I push Cat with my foot gently, "Hell yeah, I was ready when I woke."

"Well your day is finally here." Beck said, sitting next to Jade, arm around her shoulder.

"Yeah, thank you all for being here today. You didn't have to come." I said, nervous as hell on what the police wanted to tell me.

The door opened and in walked a blonde woman and I am guessing, Mr Vega. They both smile at Jade and the rest and then their gaze lands on me.

"Good morning, Miss Smith, I am Detective Vega and this is Officer Solomon. Are you ready to tell us your statement?" Mr Vega asked, standing behind his daughter. "And do you want these hooligans with you?" He asked again, smiling.

"I would be hell of a lot more bored if it wasn't for these hooligans." I answered, chuckling. We started with the questions to which I answered honestly and then we got to the tough bit.

"We have the person who crashed into you. He sustained injuries as well so he has not been charged as off yet, but will be due to the homophobic slander spoken against you and the fact he was over the alcohol limit." Mr Vega stated.

While he was talking I noticed Claire come into the room, she tapped Jade's shoulder and they both left the room. I continued to watch them from the glass, knowing exactly what Claire wanted.

"What I am going to tell you might be a bit hard to hear." Mr Vega said, cautiously.

I didn't care, I just watched the horror fall on Jade's face. I grabbed Becks hand, "Please go after Jade, she will do something she regrets." Beck looked behind him through the window and saw her facial expression and sprinted out of the room and followed Jade as she stormed away from her mother. I look to the blonde, "I bet he was thrilled when you were the officer in charge of this investigation." She rubbed the back of her neck as a nervous habit. I looked to all my friends, "It was Jade's dad who crashed into us. Apparently I look the spitting image of her," I point to the blonde woman, "And Jade looks exactly like her mom, that we reminded him of when his wife cheated on him with a woman. So when he saw us leaving, in his drunk mind, he thought it was happening again."

Mr Vega looked at me shocked, "How the hell did you know that?" He asked.

"I almost died, I was privy to a lot of information while I was not on this earth." I stated, bored. I looked to my favourite red head, "Kitty Cat, could you get me a wheelchair, we need to find Jade." Cat jumped from the bed to find me what I wanted.

"She really wouldn't do anything would she?" Mr Vega asked, worried for Jade's father, already knowing, somewhat of Jade's anger through his daughters, I'm guessing.

I shook my head, "She won't hurt him, she is just hurting. A lot of things have crept up and come out because of this crash." I answered, looking straight at blonde officer.

Cat came in with a wheel chair, got me sorted and we were on our way to finding Jade. I looked behind and saw that Andre, Tori and Robbie were following as well. We finally got to the hallway, that I am guessing is where they are keeping Mr West and saw Beck holding Jade in his arms while she thrashed around trying to get out of them.

"Jade? Jade?" Beck said, trying to get through to her.

"This is all your fault, I could have lost her because of you!" Jade shouted, pointing at a window, I move closer and confirmed my suspicion that she was shouting at her father, "I can't believe I was ever your princess. You make me sick!"

"Jade? Baby?" I say and see her head whip around to look at me, her face full of hurt.

"Lizzie?" She asks, quietly.

"Yeah, baby, come here." I open my arms to her, inviting her to come to me. I watch as she slowly untangles herself from Beck, shooting one last glare at her father before walking towards me, her hands going into mine and slowly and carefully sitting on my lap in the wheelchair. "Come on, I have to sign my discharge papers and then we can go home and cuddle in bed." I motion to Cat to take us back and Jade just cuddles right into me, her head going into my neck, I feel her shaking against me and the wetness I feel on my neck confirm it. Jade was crying.

I was finally at home. I could've cried, I was so happy. I was finally out of the bloody wheelchair as well, I was fine to walk, my side only ached a little but it was hospital policy that if I was going to wander around the hospital it would have to be in a wheelchair.

I watch as my mom dropped my bag in the hallway and turned to me, "Welcome home, baby girl. I am so glad you are okay." She said, tearing up, I grab her and hug her close to me.

"Thank you, Mama. Is it okay if I take Jade and go upstairs?" I ask, looking behind me and my gloomy girlfriend, who had her arms wrapped around her middle.

"Of course, princesa, take good care of tu novia." Mom responded, picking my bag back up to probably sort out and wash, "Claire will be coming over anyway, she has had quite a shock as well."

I walk over to Jade, placing my hands on her crossed arms, "Hey gorgeous, wanna come upstairs with me?" She nodded and places her hand in mine as I lead her upstairs, slowly as I am in pain and need to take some meds soon.

Once we reach my room, I take off my big sweatshirt, leaving me in my sports bra, pull down my yoga pants, leaving me in my panties, and I jump straight into my bed, pain meds in one hand. I look up at Jade and see her just staring at me, I chuckle and chuck a pillow at her, "Hey baby doll, why don't you grab some comfy clothing of mine and get dressed, I need some snuggles."

She jumps from her frozen state, blush crawling up her neck, as she went to my chest of drawers and pick some clothes out. She made her way into the joined bathroom, while I laid there smiling and took my pain meds dry. I shook my head and her the door open and a sniffle. I look to the right of me and see Jade in the door way.

"Why did he have to change, Lizzie?" She asked, crying.

"Oh, baby girl," I said, standing from the bed, coming to her and wrapping her in my arms, "You know it's not your fault, right?"

"But we were so close, then my mom had to cheat and then we had to move and I lost you then I found you again and then my dad tries to kill us." She said in one breath, while, surprisingly, still sobbing into my chest, "Why can't I have a normal family?"

"You can't think like that, my love, everything happens for a reason. The cards were dealt and unfortunately we have to play them, but we have each other, no matter what." I put my forefinger under her chin, lifting her gaze to mine, "You will always have me, I am not going anywhere. I can promise you that."

Jade sniffled again, her hands flexing on my waist, nails scratching at my bare skin, I feel my body heating up and then she uttered 3 words, that made my world stop.

"I love you."
