Reincarnation: "Basically the religious embodiment of the meme, "aw s#!t, here we go again" For example, "Now...I rest...wait why the hell am I a bird now!? F& k reincarnation!" Definition by Norrabal May 31, 2019
Journal entry number one:
To my little brother, you are the only bright spot in my life. And so I hope that as you grow, that the light that you have never dims. I ask that you read this when you're ready. As of now, you are still growing, only five years old. I don't want to hurt that fragile time.
Assuming you're older, you've probably become a pro-hero. You always had so much strength and power, unlike me. But that's not even what will make you a great hero.
You have such a brilliant light about you that warms every heart, so full of hope and peace. I know that there will be tough times in your life, but you are stronger than anything life can throw at you. I wanted to tell you my story, who I am.
Mom and dad haven't always been the best. Whenever they were actually there, they always argued and yelled. But I always loved them. Then there's society, don't rely on them, they won't help you. At least they never did for me, maybe having a quirk changes thing, maybe they'll actually be to you what they were never for me.
About your age was when the bullying started, after all, I was a minority, the twenty percent. It never stopped, although it was deserved. I am useless, a waste of existence. That's what they told me, and I can never help anyone.
I don't blame anyone, I guess if I had to, I'd blame fate. Fate decided to stack the deck against me. Our world doesn't work as it should. I'm really tired now, I should go. I'm sorry Ai.
'So cold, so loud.' Around was a breeze passing over and chilling to the bone. 'I can't remember.'
("Against a white wall sat a young man with a speech bubble for a head. He leaned into the microphone and spoke. Hi, I'm Fukidashi Manga the narrator, I'm part of class 1B. Why does this story have a narrator? Well, I don't know, now shut up and listen.)
In a small tea shop, The Jasmine Samori, a young couple planned for the arrival of their newest child. The father, on that particular day, was on his way to work. He got ready saying good morning to his daughter and his wife Sara.
"Good morning to you too Daishi." His wife greeted. "Good morning daddy." His daughter spoke.
A few minutes later he headed downstairs to get the store ready for the day. Before opening the store he filled the teapots with water, then using his quirk he sped up the molecules that made up the water.
(The narrator spoke to no one in particular. That's a cool quirk, but mine is better. He cleared his throat. Anyway...) With the water boiling the only thing left was opening up the shop. But before he did that he got ready to send his daughter off to school. It was Shun's first day of kindergarten and he didn't want to miss her excitement.
She looked so much like her mother, with pale skin, dark brown hair, and amber eyes. She took after her father in only one aspect, his ears which were long and pointed. Shun had decided on a simple bun to put her hair in, she didn't like standing out. "Bye-bye." She said heading off. (So cute!)
On the way, she couldn't help but tell her friends about her new sibling who would be born soon. When she got to school she met a few teachers and the day started off great. At noon, she showed her new classmates her quirk by teleporting a pencil from one side of the room to the other. Since they were interested she explained how she inherited her quirk from her mother.
When the school day drew to a close, a faculty member brought Shun to the office to explain that her aunt and uncle were coming to pick her up. She was told that her mother was in the hospital and had given birth to her new sister. She was so excited, her aunt and uncle finally arrived to take her to the hospital.
When they got to the hospital Shun couldn't pay attention to anything, she was bouncing up and down with excitement. When they got to the door of the room Shun's aunt told her, "Shh, the baby might be sleeping." The door was opened for her and she stepped inside alone.
In front of her, her father sat in a chair holding the baby, her mother laid sleeping in the hospital bed. She tip-toed over to her father who's smile was so wide. "Come meet your baby sister." Shun's curiosity peaked, she slowly peered into her sleeping sister's small face.
She noticed first how small she was before noting how much she looked like their father. Her father had dark black skin, but this tiny baby was a combination of her parent's extremely contrasting skin tones.
The baby also had lavender hair and pointed ears like their father, Shun wondered if she had any similarities with their mother. Almost as if anticipating his daughter's thoughts, Daishi whispered, "She has your mom's eyes." He had tears in his eyes which confused little Shun. "Why are you crying, daddy?" He quietly chuckled, "Because I'm so happy. Also, this day reminds me of when you were born."
Shun was still confused but she asked, "Can I hold her?" Her father nodded slowly standing up from the chair. "Sit on the chair first." Shun crawled onto the chair and situated herself on the seat. Daishi carefully kneeled down in front of the chair and instructed Shun how to hold the baby.
He slowly placed the baby into her small arms and watched both faces light up in a smile. There's little to describe the feeling of holding a baby sibling for the first time. She was heavy and warm within her arms, with such a specific, comforting smell. But Shun wasn't thinking about that.
"Daddy, what's her name?" Daishi looked surprised. "Haven't I told you?" Shun giggled. "No daddy." He smiled again and said, "Your mother and I named her Mari, Kobayashi Mari." (The narrator looked tired but ended. And so began Mari's story. She would have many journeys in her life, one of those was meeting me. But I think she should tell you that story.")
