It was breakfast time, almost time for mail. Like usual, Harry never expected to have any mail except for the Daily Prophet but was surprised when he had another letter. Perhaps it was another invitation from Hagrid, but it was not on the same parchment and not his handwriting. Harry set aside the Daily Prophet and focused on the letter. He opened it and was surprised. The letter read:
Harry,
I know that this must come as a shock, hearing from me, but I wanted to say: even though I abhor magic, I thoroughly enjoyed what you did to your Aunt Marge. I never liked that woman. The worst part of this, is that until she has gotten better, we are taking care of the dog. Thank goodness that she did not bring all of them. I do not know what I would do taking care of all her dogs.
Petunia Dursley
"What is it Harry?" asked Hermione.
"I got a letter from my Aunt Petunia giving me props for blowing Marge up."
"Really? Cool!" said Ron.
"Honestly, Ron, it's not funny. Harry is lucky that he was able to come back to school at all this year."
"Well she deserved it, for saying what she did about my mum and dad," Harry said, defending himself. "And after years of abuse from that woman whenever she came to visit, I guess I was just done with her. She was truly worse than Uncle Vernon. At least he let me sleep under the stairs and for the most part, they ignored me. They just don't like the fact that I am a wizard, and they hate everything to do with magic, especially my mother and father."
Just like that they were back to talking about the classes and Hermione and Ron were arguing about whether Crookshanks ate Scabbers.
