Ange sits in her AAU office and reads the same email over and over again, fixated on the photo of a teenage girl with light blonde hair and bright blue eyes. But who was this young woman?
"My third baby, Bethany...I left you at just a day old for your daddy to look after you"
Ange started reading about her daughter in an email from Beth's father that came completely out of the blue. As she read more, Ange discovered her little baby had kidney failure due to a genetic condition inherited from her father and that Beth was undergoing dialysis until a suitable donor kidney became available.
All of a sudden, Fletch walks in and instantly notices something is wrong with Ange.
"What's the matter darling?"
Ange decided she can't keep the secret anymore, "This might shock you...but I have a third child, a 15 year old daughter"
"So I'm assuming Chloe knows but the two of you agreed to not say anything...what happened to her?"
Ange knows she has to come completely clean, for the sake of her relationship with Fletch and her children
"Chloe doesn't know that I got pregnant, it was cryptic...but when I found out I just couldn't keep her for Chloe's sake so I gave her up when she was born and she has been raised by her father, he's contacted me saying the two of us should get to know eachother"
Fletch looks at the photo of Bethany, she looks familiar but he can't quite put his finger on it, "What's her name Ange?"
"Bethany Edwards, she lives in East London, has done since she left the hospital after being born"
Still looking at the photo, the name rings a bell too...Evie.
"Are you sure they live in London? She looks just like one of Evie's friends called Beth"
"Well the email says she lives in London, there's not a single thing about Holby in there"
Fletch looks through some photos on Evie's Instagram and comes across one of this exact girl next to Evie
"Ange look" he shows her "Bethany definitely lives in Holby, you could meet her so easily"
"B-but why would her father say she is still in London"
"I don't know, is it a good thing that she isn't very far away? Also you need to tell Dom and Chloe about her"
"I wish it was that easy...but it's not"
