Thedas.

The land that Villain threw me into was called Thedas.

If it hadn't been for a passing trader who needed help, I'd probably still be stumbling around, clueless.

Maybe. I wasn't among the top underground Heroes for nothing, after all. I probably would've made my way eventually. But the Trader, who was called Malcolm Trevelyan, made the transition infinitely easier as he helped me learn about this world, learn to read and write Common, and gave me a job as his bodyguard and heavy lifter.

I did actually tell him what had happened when he asked. I had no reason to lie. It wasn't like I cared, either.

I told him of the rise of Quirks, of Villains, and the Vigilantes who later became heroes. Of my parents, who were notorious Villains known for their extravagant heists. Of my desire to become a Hero and how my parents supported me through it, of them sending me to Japan, to UA. So the likelihood of ever running into them and seeing them again was slim. Of my late wife, Tsuyu, and our daughter. How I'd outlived damn near all of my former classmates because of my Shark Quirk and Strength Quirk. Of my rise to being a top underground Hero and accepting a part-time teaching gig at UA.

Gods, I'd never realized how much I kept all that shit bottled up. Perhaps it was the word vomit and the breakdown I had that convinced Malcolm I was telling the truth.

In turn, he told me of Mages and Templars, Of the Andrastian Religion and how it came to be, of the Fade and the demons and spirits that resided there. He told me there were Elves, Humans, Dwarves, and Qunari. The last of which I could probably pass as, if not for the odd skin tone and gills. He told me of Antiva, Orlais, Fereldan (Where we were), The Tevinter Imperium, and the Qunari homeland of Par Vollan. He told me of the Blights and how it was theorized to come to be. How there had been four, so far. This then leads to explanations about a group of people called Grey Wardens. They came from all walks of life, be they noble or slave, who came together to fight the blight. The last blight was four hundred years ago.

Then finally, he told me of himself. Said that he had started as a simple farm boy who dreamt of traveling and a Trading company that agreed to sponsor him. Of how he met his beloved Partner and how they adopted a few children together. Said his life "wasn't as eventful as yours." but that he loved it. Said he was heading home now and that his Partner was sure to welcome me with open arms.

He then promptly asked if I was cold. Because it was winter and there was snow on the ground. I laughed and told him that Sharks could live in much much colder weather and it would take a lot more than a little snow to get me to even shiver.

He probably thought I was cold because of my Hero costume. What with it revealing as much skin as it did. Which, honestly, wasn't all that much. My top ended just above my second to last rib, revealing the gills on my sides. It was also long-sleeved and had a thumb hole and a heart-shaped hole over my chest. There were also holes on my upper arms that also revealed some gills. My pants were skin-tight and had an oval-shaped hole and circle hole just below it on my outer thighs. I had a gold-ish colored utility belt that held a few personal items such as my Hero ID, A Picture of Tsuyu and our Adopted daughter, a picture of the entirety of our Graduate year, and a picture of just Class 1-A a Necklace with our wedding bands on it, and a Locket that held a lock of both Tsuyu's and our daughter's hair. The costume was primarily dark blue with accents of gold/orange.

You know, perhaps my costume was a little revealing? I wouldn't know.

In any case, he'd given me this journal and some charcoal so I could write and remember. I'm writing this all in a mix of English and Japanese with a few other languages I know mixed in. I wish anyone luck in trying to decipher it for whatever reason.
