Summary: My first Lucifer Kat fanfic. Kat escapes the prison world, only to accidentally end up in LA. When he comes upon her and helps her, she recognizes him from when she was in hell after she died of old age. After so many times of being thing for each other, what will ensue between them?
A/N: There's no Eve coming for a visit, though I'm beginning this in Lucifer S4.
It was a dismal night, as Lucifer poured himself a drink upstairs where he lived, as usual. The recent case had been solved, so he was free to do as he wished for the rest of the night.
He set the bottle down, when someone appeared that had been absent for some time. He knew her, from the little time that she was in hell. She'd been his queen for a little bit, in fact. She'd helped him in the past with certain things, so he knew a lot about her. No matter what though, he would never use her. He wasn't who he used to be.
He looked at her, as she magically healed herself and set the ascendant on the end of his bar.
"Back from the dead again, I see. Welcome back," he greeted.
"Thanks," she replied. Then she added, "I'll have one of those."
He grabbed another shot glass and gave her it.
"At your service," he replied with a smile.
"Nice place," she replied. "I'm not one to take over unless it's Damon's place, but since I just escaped a prison world and I ended up here of all places, I hope you don't mind. It's not like you have anyone staying with you anyway."
"Not at all," he replied with a smile.
"Good." She finished her drink and then sat down on the couch. "So, what have I missed? You know how good I am at getting rid of enemies. So, anyone that needs gotten rid of? You seem to be a little off. Something's wrong," she said. She didn't have to read minds to know it. After her time in hell for a while and being the queen of it for a little bit, she knew him well enough to know when something was wrong. Even when he didn't tell her.
"Believe me, I wish you could help, but this is something you can't help with," he informed her.
"In that case, whatever it is, you can temporarily forget about it. Seems to me like you need to unwind for a while," she replied with a smile.
He finished his drink and, when she said that, turned around to look at her. He then gave a smile, knowing what she meant by that.
"I suppose I could for a little while."
He approached the couch where she still was and, when he was there, she got up. Then, as if time and her being taken to a prison world hadn't separated them, they began to kiss, forgetting their problems for a while.
