Athena stood in the gardens of Olympus, with her left hand on her large pregnant belly and feeling her son kick in her womb. She could not believe that she had gotten herself pregnant, despite taking a vow of perpetual virginity. But she realized that the Fates, fickle as they were, had different plans for her, and apparently Aphrodite went along with it. For after the adventures Odysseus had, she began to look at him in a different light and began to have romantic feelings for the wise and noble king. At first, she did not know why she was having these feelings for this mortal, due to the fact she had originally swore off having romantic and sexual feelings for either mortals or immortals, particularly her fellow deities. However, she admired Odysseus during the time of the War With Troy and helped him build the Wooden Horse used to deceive the Trojans and how she had helped him along his journey to return to Ithaca, and while he was walking from Greece to Russia , she came to him while he was carrying his oar to make penance for what had happened between him and Poseidon. Odysseus asked why she had appeared before him once again, and she had finally given into her feelings and told him the truth. She had fallen in love with him, and she knew for a fact that Aphrodite and Eros were laughing at her at this moment while she confessed, realizing that Aphrodite had finally succeeded making Athena not as devout to her vow as she thought she was. Odysseus at first, was shocked by what he had just heard. The goddess of war, wisdom, and craftsmanship, the very one who was disgusted by Aphrodite and her obsession with sex, the one who swore a perpetual vow to remain a virgin due to her said disgust, had just admitted romantic feelings for him. He did not know what to say, but Athena still continued on how these feelings started budding for him during the time of the War with Troy and how she realized how intelligent he was and how he used his cunning against Polyphemus and used it to help build the Trojan horse. Odysseus then told her that even though he was still loyal to his wife, he too also felt something for the grey-eyed goddess and how she always had favored him among the Achaean leaders and how she did her best to look out for him during the time he was away from Ithaca. Both goddess and mortal king then finally gave into their feelings for each other and passionately kissed, with Odysseus slowly taking off Athena's armor and robes and exposing her large breasts while Athena slowly took off Odysseus' tunic. They passionately made out until Odysseus entered Athena, with Athena first moaning in pain but told Odysseus to continue. It felt like they were the only beings in the universe, like Athena's great grandparents, Gaia and Uranus, were in the beginning. Little did she or Odysseus knew, was that she had gotten herself pregnant by this act, and Zeus was watching. At first, he did not know what to do with this scene. She was his favorite daughter, but at the same time, he did not like the fact that she had broken her oath. Aphrodite, as mentioned before, was laughing at this exact moment and congratulated her son, Eros, for shooting his arrows at Athena and Odysseus. After Athena and Odysseus had made love, they stared at the night sky and looked up at the stars, seeing the images of past heroes before up in the sky. Athena then returned to her present moment, and felt her son kick in her womb while her owl was on her right arm. The owl was at originally surprised that his mistress was pregnant, but had now grown accustomed to it
"Things are sure different now, especially for the fact that when I meet the other Olympians for discussions about the mortal realms, Hestia and Artemis glare at me. Younger me would most likely agree with them and be disgusted with my current state, but since it has finally happened, I can't wait to birth my child."
Athena remembered when she first found out that she was pregnant, with the other Olympians having varying opinions on the former virgin goddess of warfare and wisdom. Ares, being her rival and patron god of Sparta, also the main rival city of her patron city Athens, chuckled when he saw her 6 months pregnant and wondering if this was a prank by Hermes. Artemis, as said before, began to resent Athena for giving up her vow while she and Hestia kept close to theirs, though she said she would help her with child bearing when the time came, along with Eileithyia. Of course, she has been pregnant for several centuries now, due to the fact that her being pregnant is something unique for her and that Odysseus did not live to see that she is with child now.
"I wish I could go into the Elysian Fields and see him, though I know it would be awkward for him and Penelope I just want to tell him about you, my future prince."
Athena then later on went to her bath, where she slowly took off her armor, helmet, shield of Medusa and robe, and went to look at her reflection. She stood there, with a round 8 to 9-month belly, with her large breasts full of milk, still waiting for her child to suckle on them. However, it is the 21st century and even though she and her family are being worshiped once again, they do not interfere with mortals as much anymore, and it would be very awkward for her and some of her worshipers to find out that the virgin goddess is now a mother goddess.
She then turned around and slowly got into the warm bath water, and started to hum a small lullaby. A lullaby she heard when her mother gave birth to her inside her father's head. It used to soothe her to sleep when she was a babe and, even though Metis was not around to hear it, she would be glad that her daughter would be humming it to her grandchild and that it might continue on for generations.
"I can't wait to meet you, my son. I will try to teach you as much as I can. Even though I broke my vow of chastity millennia ago, in a way, I'm glad I did. I know that I had to endure my father's wrath and have him say that I will only have one lover, I believe it was worth it. I guess I was wrong to make fun of Aphrodite, even though some of it was her responsibility, and should be thanking her instead. When you are born, you will be taught the ways of warfare and strategy. You will be the inspiration for the next followers of Hellenism many millennia from now, and I will watch you from afar, my little prince."
Athena then returned back to humming her lullaby for her future son in her womb. Even if it took another millennium, she couldn't wait to see her son.
