Should Kyouka Jirou Be In the Dekusquad?

A little character study of sorts on whether or not Kyouka Jirou should be an official member of the Dekusquad.

The Dekusquad, for those who don't know, is a term used within the My Hero Academia fandom for the group of students that are associated with the main character Izuku Midoriya. These students are the ones that Izuku has made a connection with and/or helped out in some important way. Currently, the Dekusquad consists of Izuku, Iida, Ochaco, Tsuyu, Tokoyami, Shouto, Aoyama, and Shinsou.

The reason I bring up Kyouka Jirou as a possible candidate is because Izuku technically did connect with and help her during the U.A. School Festival Arc. We first see this during a flashback segment where Kyouka goes to Izuku for help in organizing her notes for the band. We see more of this later on when Izuku is fighting Gentle to stop him from ruining the festival, not only because the festival is needed to help Eri, but also because the festival is very important to Kyouka.

Honestly, I feel she would fit better in the Dekusquad than what some fans have been doing and putting her in the Bakusquad.

Whereas the Dekusquad members are those who were helped by and connected with Izuku, the Bakusquad members tend to be those who willingly follow Katsuki Bakugou simply because he's strong. We first see this during the Sports Festival with Kirishima, Mina, and Sero, and then during the License Exams with Kaminari. Fans started to put Kyouka in the Bakusquad because of the Joint Training Arc and here's why they shouldn't.

For starters, Kyouka didn't willingly choose to be on Bakugou's team. Like most class assignments in the series the teams are always chosen at random (Horikoshi constantly putting Ochaco and Izuku on the same team not withstanding). Not only that, but Rikidou Satou was also on that team, but no one puts him in the Bakusquad at all.

Another reason fans seem to put Kyouka into the Bakusquad is because of Kaminari. Since KamiJirou is one of the more popular pairings in the fandom, fans tend to use that to put Kyouka within that group and I feel that's not really a good reason for that. It'd be like putting Momo in the Dekusquad simply because of TodoMomo, but no one in the fandom does that because it's not a good enough reason to do so.

So to ask again, should Kyouka Jirou be a part of the Dekusquad or should she remain a neutral part like most of the other students of Class 1-A?
