Saturday Morning

I woke up this morning from dreams filled with Ray and some nightmares filled with Darien. I did really enjoy the time we had together last night. I want to try to continue this to see where it goes but I am so concerned with how Darien and his father would react. Would Darien try to take Rini from me? Would his father fire me? There is so many what ifs. But what Mina and Lita said still rung in my head that I deserve to be happy too.

I got out of bed and got into the shower. I think that Rini and Mina are still sleeping. Mina put Rini in her room last night and I think just in case I got home late. When I got out the shower I went to the kitchen and Mina and Rini where sitting at the table.

"You want some breakfast?" I asked walking over the refrigerator.

"Sure, only if you're cooking." She laughed while making faces at Rini.

"I am. I just really apricate you looking after Rini for me."

"It's no problem. I fell more like her aunt then her nanny. You've always made me feel like family and family helps each other out."

"I'm glad that you feel that way." I got stuff out to make omelets. "I hope that you don't mind that I invited Ray to come to our picnic. It was a spur of the moment thing."

"You did? That's awesome. So, I take it the date went well?" She said as she placed Rini in her playpen.

"Yes, it did. I really like her. She's nothing like her brother or father. She's real sweet."

"Did you tell her about who's Rini's father and whatnot?"

"I did before we left. Remember? You suddenly had to give the baby a bath."

"Oh yea. I was pretending that I hadn't already gave her one. So, that went well, I guess."

"It did. I told her everything. And she said she didn't care what Darien, or her father thought and that she would still love to get to know me."

"I'm really happy for you. What time will she be here?"

"10:30." I replied as I places the food on the plates and put them on the table.

"So awesome! Family day!" Mina giggled.

Few Hours Later

We were sitting in the park after eating lunch and we were just talking. We were all having a good time getting to know each other. Ray was holding Rini and making faces and different noises at her. Rini would giggle at her and try to grab at her. Since Rini and Ray were occupied Mina and I started to clean up.

"What do you think?" I whispered to Mina.

"She's great and Rini seems to like her." She whispered back. The main thing to me was my daughter but she is a baby right now. As long as she likes Ray it will all right. Mina likes her so far and that's a plus. After we finished cleaning up, we started to walk back to my house. Mina had Rini in the stroller and Ray and I walked behind her.

"What are we going to do about Monday?" I asked suddenly.

"What do you mean? Work is work. Personal is personal. It's simple."

"So, I'm supposed to pretend that I don't know you? Or that we are dating?"

"Well, that's up to you. Lita told me that I was your first woman that you had ever been attracted to. So, I don't want to push you into anything that you don't feel comfortable with. I've been down this road before. I've always known that I like woman. This is new to you. I'll follow your lead." Ray said gently grabbing my hand. It felt so right.

When we got back to my house, we put the picnic stuff up and we sat down to watch a movie. Mina was on the floor and we were on the couch with Rini who had fallen asleep. Everything felt so right and wonderful. I really liked how Ray was wanting to be around Rini.

At the end of the movie Ray had to leave.

"I don't care if anyone knows at work that we are dating or know each other. I don't care if they know we are a couple especially if you don't." I said as I walked her to the door.

"I don't cause I'm not ashamed of who I am or who I'm with." Ray said as she kissed my lips.

"I'll call you tomorrow, ok?" I said when our lips parted.

"Something to look forward to." Ray said as she walked towards her car.

Things are really starting to look good for me. I am so happy.
