Chapter Two:

"But Mooooommmmm! I don't see the reason for me to have to go to school to turn around and come back. The field trip is literally to my house!" Peter moaned and rubbed his hands down his face pulling on his bottom eye lids.

"Peter Benjamin Parker-Stark! You tried to get out of going on the field trip in the first place! How do I know if I allow you to stay home that while me and your father are out at work that you won't just stay here all weekend playing video games?" Pepper Potts-Stark demanded with a pointed look.

"Weeeellll…..I proooomissssse…..?"

"Are you asking me or telling me?"

"Asking you?"

"Peter!"

"Mom!"

"Peter, do not make me get involved!" Tony called out.

"Daaaaadddd!" Peter said flopping himself down onto the couch and screaming into the cushions.

"PETER BENJAMIN!"

"Oh no." Peter whispered, popping his head up from the couch, his face paling. "May."

Pepper smirked as she watched Peter frantically look around to find a place to hide from his scary Aunt May's wrath. Finally, he decided on jumping onto the ceiling and hiding up there. Pepper rolled her eyes, as if he thought that his Aunt was going to not look to Pepper for the location of her sweet nephew.

Turns out, she didn't even need to tell May where Peter was because as she stormed into the room, in her hand she had a broom in of which to use to swat Peter off of the ceiling. "What is this I hear about you trying to get out of going on a fantastic field trip?! THAT YOUR OWN MOTHER PLANNED FOR YOU?!" She punctuated every emphasized word with a smack to Peter utilizing her trusty broom.

"I'm not—OW!—trying to get—OW, May!—out of—would you STOP?!—anything!" Peter said as he attempted (and failed) to dodge his Aunt's swats.

"Oh, really?" Pepper and May said in unison.

"Yes! I just don't see a reason to pack a whole bag for tonight and tomorrow night and then take it to school just to cover up the fact that I'll be sleeping in my own home all weekend with Ned and MJ over like usual." Peter finally got out, speaking a mile a minute to get his point across quickly so as to avoid any more broom smacking.

"He's got a point, Pep." Tony said from the couch where he was scrolling on his Stark Phone.

"But I thought the whole point was to make sure that nobody knows that he's your kid!" May snapped, "That was the whole point of having me raise him with Ben, right?"

"Yes, but he's about to graduate and it would be smarter to get him used to the press no versus later since as soon as he walks across that stage and his legal name is called out and everyone finds out who he is right then and there. It wouldn't make any sense to send him away with a bunch of things packed when his room is literally in the same building as where the field trip is taking place." Tony said, saying more than five words for the first time throughout this whole ordeal.

"Wait, lets circle back to the 'gave Peter to May and Ben to raise' thing. Are you saying that I'm your biological child?" Peter said, completely ignoring the fact that his dad was on his side with the discussion at hand and was instead focused on the one part that May had said that was a surprise for him.

"Well, yes." Pepper said, wringing her hands, "That was also something I thought your father informed you of upon your moving into the Tower." She finished with a sharp look at Tony.

"Oh, uhhh… Did I not mention that detail, kiddo?" Tony asked, rubbing his neck sheepishly—well, as sheepishly as you can when you're Anthony Edward Stark.

"No, Dad. You definitely did not tell me that."

"Uhhhhh….surprise?"

"Anthony Edward Stark," Pepper started, voice dangerously low, "Do you mean to tell me that my son didn't know he is my biological child?!"

"Sorry, love! I truly thought I told him.

"Clearly." Pepper said dryly.

"Wait! Because Dad didn't tell me, can I just meet the class here then?" Peter asked with a small glint of mischief in his eyes.

"Fine. But, are you okay with this? I know we allowed you to grow up normally, without knowing that you were an heir to a fortune five hundred company, without us as direct parents, without us until 3 years ago." Pepper asked worriedly; her son, after all was raised by someone other than her in order to insure his safety at all times—especially once Tony became Iron Man.

"Mom, it doesn't really change anything, does it? You guys didn't give me up, you were protecting me from being harmed in any way. You loved, no love me enough to keep me safe even if that meant giving up all the firsts with me."

Pepper started to cry, her son was perfect and she wanted him to know she loves him and his sister more than anything in the world—she said as much as she smothered her son into her chest and wrapped her arms tightly around him.

"Gross, Mom! Stop crying all over me." Peter groaned as he attempted to remove himself from his mother's vice like grasp on him and when he couldn't he called out to his father for help.

"You put yourself in that position, Underoos. I'm not helping you." Tony chuckled.

"C'mon! I've got to get to school!"

"Your field trip isn't scheduled for another hour—you're fine. Which reminds me; FRIDAY, send a message to Pete's school to let them know that he's going to be meeting the rest of the kids here for the tour."

"You've got it, Boss." FRIDAY responded with a bit of a hint of laughter in her voice.

"Daaaddd! HELP MEEEE." Peter moaned again, his airway starting to feel crushed as his mother was still tightly holding him and slightly sobbing on him. And that's what Clint walked into the Lounge Room to see.

"Wow…" Clint said, eyes wide as he took in May standing there, huffing still from chasing Peter while he was on the ceiling all over the place so she could effectively swat him with a broom, Peter being clutched to a sobbing Pepper Stark's bosom, and then there was Tony chilling on the couch without a care in the world as he scrolled on Facebook. "Do I even want to know, FRI?" Clint asked the AI for confirmation.

"That depends on what you think is happening, Katniss." FRIDAY responded using the fond nickname that Tony had given to Clint upon introductions.

Clint rolled his eyes and said, "I'm good then. Are there any poptarts in the kitchen?"

"Hey! They're my poptarts, Uncle Clint!" Peter said as his continued to struggle to get out of his mother's iron like grasp. "You can't just take them!"

"Watch me, kiddo."

Peter was able to finally wrench himself free of his mother and she had (thankfully) finally stopped sobbing on him and upon her son leaving her arms she found Tony and started to cuddle into his side really requiring some form of a comforting physical touch. And that's where she stayed for the next hour as she waited with Pete for his school class to arrive at the Tower.

"Peter, honey, wake up." Pepper said as she gently shook him, "Honey, your class is going to be here in ten minutes, its time to get up."

"Ten minutes?!" Peter shouted as he jumped up off the couch where he had fallen asleep while hanging with his family waiting for time to pass.

"Yes. Now, do you want one of us to go with you down to the lobby?"

"Uhhh…No, I think that bringing attention to myself right off the back isn't the best way to go around it. Especially since I'll already be through security and waiting for everyone else to get through it with their badges and all."

"Alright, if you insist." Pepper smiled down at him.

"Lil Boss a school bus has just pulled into the parking lot under the Tower." FRIDAY announced.

"Shoot! I gotta go, Mom! Love you." Pete said as he rushed out of the penthouse and chose to run down the stairs versus using the private elevator for risk of his entire class seeing him walk out of it.

"Bye, be safe!"

How can I not be safe in my own house, Mom? Peter thought to himself with a mental scoff.

He finally made it to the lobby floor just as Miss Zwick and the rest of his class were filing in the security line.

"Hey, Pete!" Ned called out, waving to his best friend.

"Hey, Ned!" Pete smiled and waved back.

MJ rolled her eyes at her friend and boyfriend's antics as she walked through the line with Ned—both of them already had badges and security clearance (so they didn't have to wait in line with all their classmates and teacher) much like Peter and their respective internships at Stark Industries as well. Ned was with Bruce on gamma rays and MJ was Pepper's personal intern since her and Tony were already planning for MJ and Peter to take over the company after college and they started pruning them in high school so as to make sure that both MJ and Peter knew the ins and outs of the company by the time they were given full reigns of it.

"Hey babe." Peter smirked at MJ as he walked up to her and then planted a kiss on her lips.

"What was that for, Stark?" MJ growled only half seriously.

"You did it to me at school last week, I've just been buying my time until I got a chance to get you back for it." Peter shrugged.

MJ nodded, conceding that he was right in that aspect and respecting him for getting her back. "Alright, fair enough."

"Y'all just need to get a room." Ned rolled his eyes as he pushed himself in between the two love birds.

"I couldn't agree more, Ned Man!" Clint said from the vent above them.

"Uncle Clint! What are you doing?!" Peter hissed as he looked back at his classmates who were currently getting the spiel about security and keep their badges on them at all times.

"I'm just…hanging around."

"Well don't! Mom and Dad are supposed to do some sort of announcement today or something like that. I don't need the whole Avenger's Team showing up and making it even more awkward."

"Don't you worry about that! Not all of us are going to be showing up unannounced."

"Wait! No, I'm not… And he's gone."

"What was all that, Penis Parker? Talking to the ceiling now?" Eugene "Flash" Thompson said as he appeared seemingly out of thin air directly next to Peter and his group.

"Nothing, Flash. I was talking to MJ." Peter lied as he sent a silent prayer that Hawkeye hadn't heard what Eugene had just called him. Thankfully it seemed that God was granting his this one prayer as Clint hadn't jumped out of the vent and beaten Flash within an inch of his life.

"Mmmphf." Flash said but was interrupted from saying anything else because just as he was about to open his mouth to taunt Peter once again their teacher showed up and started giving directions to the class.

"That was close." Ned remarked under his breath.

"You have no idea." Peter replied, gazing up at the ceiling for a second before returning his attention to Miss Zwick.

But what Peter didn't realize was that he himself actually didn't know to what extent Clint had heard that little remark and to what extent a certain protective Mother Spider, a raging man, an all American man, and his parents were willing to go after learning about Peter's little bullying problem. What Peter didn't expect was for this weekend to become one of the most embarrassing but most memorable and loving weekends he'll have with his family. But what Peter didn't know or expect won't kill him…or will it?
