AN: Hey guys! I hope you liked the first chapter! I'm working on finishing MDBC reading book 4, but please be patient, I've got a lot of school work. "Sigh". I hope you enjoy!

Jess POV

The birds are chirping, the trees are swaying, and it's Emma's wedding day.

"Jess, I need you!" She yells to me from the living room. The bridesmaids and Emma all stayed at Darcy and I's house, while Stewart and the groomsmen all stayed at Emma's house. Emma is the second one of us book club girls to get married. Well, have a wedding. Tristan and Cassidy eloped at a courthouse. Mrs. Sloane was not happy but now she's over it. She realized that she still has Chloe. Megan and Simon already had their wedding. It was amazing. It was French themed, and Gigi made the food. Darcy and I want to get married, of course, but I don't know when. I want to so badly, I mean we live together for Pete sake. I'm 23, I'm out of college, I've got a good job, it's the perfect time.

I hurry downstairs where I find Emma staring at her wedding dress. Her face looks panicked.

"What's wrong?" I ask calmly so she doesn't freak out any more than she already is.

"What if my wedding dress doesn't fit?" She asks. I sigh. This is her third panic attack today and it's only 9 am.

"You just tried it on two weeks ago, it fit then."

"But what if I gained weight?" She looks down at her stomach and frowns.

"You didn't gain weight in two weeks."

"How do you know? Weddings are stressful."

I roll my eyes. "Just try it on."

"I'm scared."

"Em, it'll be fine just try it on."

"Fine." With that she grabs her dress and runs upstairs.

"What was that about?" Megan asks coming in the room with a ginormous bag.

"Nothing. What is that for?" I point to the bag that seems to be bulging at the seams.

Like Mary Poppins she pulls out a flat iron, 3 hairbrushes, a bag full of bobby pins, and almost 10 makeup pallets.

"Emma come on; we need to do your hair! The updo you chose is going to take forever." She yells.

"One sec, we're just buttoning the dress." Becca shouts back down. Cassidy bursts through the front door.

"I've got the coffee you wanted!" She announces. Becca comes rushing downstairs.

"Oh my god I needed this." She says as she snatches the coffee out of Cassidy's hand and takes a huge gulp.

"Where's Emma?" Megan asks impatiently.

"She wanted to make a big entrance. Oh, that reminds me; everyone come over to the stairs." We all watch as Emma walks down the stairs in her dress. It's a sleeveless ballgown dress with a sweetheart neckline. She looks gorgeous even when her hair is in a messy bun and she doesn't have any makeup on.

"Okay so Becca is going to do your makeup and I'm going to do your hair." Megan explains while heating up the flat iron.

"Cassidy and I are going to go to the Orchard house and help the guys set up." I tell them. Emma is having her Ceremony at the Orchard house which I think is so cute. The reception is at a fancy hotel near Boston.

"Okay. Be back at 9:45 so we can get you guys ready." Becca replies.

Cassidy and I leave and drive to the Orchard house. Simon, Tristan, and Theo are already there putting the finishing touches on the chairs.

"Nice work." Cassidy says examining the purple ribbons that have been weaved through the chairs.

"No kidding. The flowers look gorgeous" I add.

"Oh, that was all Darcy." Simon replies giving me a flower. "Smell it." I put my nose up to the flower and sniff it. It smells amazing.

"Where is Darcy anyways?" I ask.

"He's back at the house with Stewart."

"Is there anything we can help with?" Cassidy asks.

"Nope we're going back to Stewarts house to change now anyways." Theo says wiping the dirt off his hands.

"We can go back now too, so Becca and Megan don't have to rush to do our hair and makeup." I tell her.

"Do we have too?" She whines.

"Cassidy not wanting to get ready. What a shocker!" Tristan laughs.

"I'm sorry I'm not more like you, Mr. Fancy pants. Or should I say Mr. Sparkly Spandex." She fires back. I grab her arm and pull her to the car.

Cassidy closes the car door. "So, you and Darcy?" She waggles her eyebrows.

I know where this is going. "What about it?"

"Don't tell me you haven't noticed he's the only guy who hasn't popped the question." She's not wrong. Cassidy and Megan are married, Emma's getting married today, and Becca is engaged and getting married in two months. Which leaves me.

I start the car. "I've noticed."

"And you're not going to do anything about it?" she asks. This is the difference between me and Cassidy. If she were in my position, she would just propose to Darcy herself, but that's not me. I can't even talk about it with Darcy. I don't want to sound pushy or anything. Well let's be honest. I'm scared to death.

"I don't know. I mean I can talk to him about anything, you know? It's just I want it to be special and I don't want to force him if he isn't ready."

"I'm pretty sure he's ready Jess. You guys have been together for forever. He's probably just waiting for the right time or whatever." Wow, this is coming from Cassidy. The girl who refused to have a wedding and just got married in jeans and a t-shirt.

"And lets face it," Cassidy breaks out in a grin. "You're wedding is going to be the most fun, I guarantee it."

I laugh. "You think so?"

"Totally. I mean Emma and Stewart probably wrote 10 page long vows for each other. Which will be a snooze fest if you ask me. And at Becca's wedding I'm guessing there will be a snake or two involved since it's Theo." I laugh. We get back to my house and head into the living room. Megan and Becca are bent over Emma, doing her makeup and hair.

"Why are you back so early?" She asks.

"The guys were already finished when we got there." I tell her.

Becca points to the stairs. "Go get your dresses on so we can do your hair and makeup."

"Yes Ma'am." Cassidy salutes and we march upstairs. The dress is a lavender one shoulder floor length dress. Cassidy had to have hers custom made because she's so tall. At first she refused saying: "It looks finnnnne. No one will even notice." Yet it was halfway up her shins. Megan said that if Cassidy didn't take it off she would rip it off herself. That was enough for Cassidy to give in.

I slip on the dress and walk downstairs to find Becca pinning Cassidy down while Megan attempts to put eyeshadow on her.

"Come on Cassidy act mature for ONCE!" Becca yells.

Cassidy sticks out her tongue. "NEVER!"

Megan stands up. "It's not worth it. Just do her hair." She demands. Emma wanted us to wear our hair in a neat bun. Megan walks over to me and applies my makeup. She mutters something about my eyelashes and how she wishes she had them. She finishes the makeup and moves on to my hair. She brushes it out of the braid, twists it up into a bun and then takes a step back to survey her work. She tilts her head and frowns.

"Try these." She says handing me a pair of diamond hoops.

"I have a pair that look just like these." I say inspecting them.

"They're yours, I got them out of your closet upstairs."

"Oh." I put in the earrings and 20 minutes later, when everyone is ready, we drive to the Orchard house. A lot of people are already here including our parents. We have to sneak around the back so no one can see Emma. Darcy, Simon, Tristan, and Theo are already there. They hand us our bouquets and we line up. Darcy holds out his arm and I put mine through it.

"Mrs. Delaney, you look quite stunning." He says in a Rupert like voice. I play along.

"Thank you, Mr. Darcy. But it is impossible to look quite as handsome as you." I reply. Darcy and I laugh and start to talk normally again.

"I've never seen you in a bun before." He observes.

Becca chimes in. "That's because the only hairstyle she ever wears is a braid. And occasionally her hair down. But only if I beg her."

"No!" I protest. "Remember when Cassidy sprayed that skunk on me and I had to cut my hair."

"That doesn't count. It only took your hair like 2 weeks to grow back before you were able to put it back in a braid." Becca replies.

"Longest two weeks of my life." I mutter. I touch my necklace. It's the one Darcy gave me for my birthday when us book club girls were camp counselors. I only take it off when I'm worried I'm going to lose it. It's a heart with a diamond in the middle and it's the best gift anyone has ever given me.

"The music is starting!" Megan hisses, shutting us all up. Chloe walks out as the flower girl. She's already 11 which is so hard to believe. I'm the maid of honor and Darcy is the best man, so we walk out next. The rest of the bridal party fills in behind us. Stewart is standing there with a smile on his face that is happy and nervous at the same time. He's rocking his feet back and forth and Darcy has to put his hand on Stewarts shoulder to steady him. The music fades and everyone stands up. Then the doors open, and Emma and her Dad walk out. I hear a mini sob come out from Mrs. Hawthorne. Stewarts gray eyes grow wide as he sees Emma. She smiles and her eyes fill up with tears. Mr. Hawthorne looks so proud it makes my heart swell with happiness. I look over at Darcy and he winks at me. I wipe my eyes and notice I'm crying. At the end of the aisle Mr. Hawthorne kisses Emma on the cheek and sits down next to Mrs. Hawthorne who is full blown sobbing. Emma walks over to me and gives me a hug. I hug her back and she walks to Stewart and takes his hand. Stewart has such a mix of emotions on his face that I can't read them. The priest says his speech and everything else but I'm not listening. I'm just watching Emma and Stewart. Then he says the most important words.

"Mr. Stewart Henry Chadwick, do you take Ms. Emma Jane Hawthorne to be your lawfully wedded wife, through sickness and through health?"

Stewart smiles and squeezes Emma's hand. "I do."

"Ms. Emma Jane Hawthorne, do you take Mr. Stewart Henry Chadwick, to be your lawfully wedded husband, through sickness and through health?"

Emma's crying a lot but she's able to utter. "I do."

"With the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride." Stewart wipes a tear off of Emma's face and kisses her. We all cheer and throw flower petals as they walk down the aisle, hands clasped. The bridal party all take a limousine to the fancy hotel where the reception is taking place. When we walk through the doors we're greeted with a man in a uniform who gives us a glass of champagne. We walk over to our table which is right next to Emma and Stewart's and sit down. The room is really big with a huge dance floor right in the center. The tables are placed all around it.

"There's only like 4 options on this thing." Cassidy complains holding up the menu.

"How many options did you have at your wedding, Sloane?" Darcy jokes.

"Well played, Hawthorne. Well played." Cassidy says shaking her head. Suddenly music starts playing and the DJs voice comes on the microphone.

"Everyone, make some noise for Mr. and Mrs. Chadwick!" The doors open and Stewart and Emma walk in holding hands. We all cheer, and the waiters come out, clap and then come to our tables to take our order. Emma tries to come over and talk to us but is intercepted by an old woman who I've never seen before. Probably a Chadwick. We take our orders and watch as Emma talks to the old lady, every once in a while glancing over at us. The lady finally walks away and Emma almost runs over to us grabbing a glass of champagne on her way.

"Your married!" I squeal, pulling her into a hug. "What does it feel like?" I ask.

"Amazing." She replies her voice strained. I realize I'm squeezing her way too tight and let go. Darcy hugs her next. And for a split second I see a tear in his eye. But then they pull away and it's gone. Everyone else takes their turn hugging Emma, and then she has to go talk to everyone else at her wedding, so she waves goodbye. Cassidy and Tristan head over to the DJ to check out the playlist he has set up for after dinner. Megan, Becca, Simon, and Theo all go the photo booth. Darcy and I head over to talk to Kyle and his girlfriend Katie. Katie and I have become really good friends, since Kyle and Darcy hang out all the time. She has brown hair with one blond streak right in the front, and a nose ring. Her style mostly consists of ripped jeans and crop tops, and she is one of the funniest people I know. Today, she's wearing a red dress with a black studded belt around her waist.

"Oh my god, Jess, you look gorgeous!" She says giving me a hug.

"You do too!"

"I can't wait to hit the dance floor." She says doing a little shimmy. "This will be the real test to see if Kyle's a good dancer or not."

I laugh. "From what I've seen, I wouldn't get your hopes up." I joke.

She laughs and walks over to where Darcy and Kyle are talking. "Hey Kyle, Jess doesn't think you're a good dancer."

Kyle laughs. "That's because I'm not."

"Then who am I going to dance with?"

Darcy grins. "I think I have a great uncle who'd be willing to take Kyles place." We laugh and Kyle shoves him.

"Shut up. It's not like you can dance any better than I can."

Darcy smirks "We'll see about that." Katie and Kyle say goodbye and then head back to their table.

Suddenly an old woman walks up to us. I try not to cough as I smell her perfume which smells like a mix of vanilla and dirty laundry.

"Darcy!" She exclaims. Kissing him on the cheek. I must look confused because he mouths my great aunt and I nod. Darcy puts his arm around my waist and pulls me closer. "Aunt Beatrice, this is my girlfriend Jess." Her face lights up in recognition. "Oh, Jess! I remember Phoebe telling me about you in one of our phone calls. Your Emma's maid of honor, correct?"

"Yup"

"How long have you two been friends?"

"Since we were like two, I think."

"How nice. Well I better get going. They just served the food and it looks scrumptious. Nice to meet you Jess." She waves and as soon as she's out of earshot, Darcy and I burst out laughing.

"That perfume was terrible!" I cry.

He nods. "I know! I think my nose is permanently damaged!"

We laugh all the way back to our table where everyone else is already eating.

"What took you so long?" Cassidy asks. "Your foods getting cold!"

Darcy and I grin. "We got caught in a conversation with Darcy's Great Aunt."

I sit down and pick at my food. That perfume made me lose my appetite.

"Are you going to eat that?" Cassidy asks. I shake my head. She grabs my plate and starts inhaling the food.

"Save room for cake!" I warn.

"There's always room for cake!" she replies.

Cassidy wasn't lying. After Stewart and Emma cut the cake, (vanilla with strawberry filling) Cassidy ate 3 slices. When we finished the cake, the DJ started playing the cupid shuffle, and everyone filed to the dance floor. We all got in a line and followed the song. At one point, Ryan (Dylan and Ryan are already 18 if you can believe it.) stepped the wrong way and caused the line behind ours to collapse like dominos. Our line was laughing so hard we couldn't finish the dance either. When everyone got up the DJ put on Sugar by Maroon 5, which got us all dancing and jumping around like idiots. Emma and I pump our fists in the air and jump up and down. That song fades away into a slow song and I feel Darcy's hands snake around my waist and twirl me around. I rest my head on his chest and wrap my arms around his neck. He lifts my chin up and kisses me.
