Coming Out or Going In
by Castlefan6
Authors Note: From a fan prompt (Castle was lent out to Robbery temporarily to work cold cases while Demming is on suspension. Lead Detective Joy Park, a woman with a big secret causes friction between our couple. COMPLETELY AU, Some Scenes and events used to enhance the story,
I don't own Castle; I use the characters for amusement purposes only, except the ones I create.
Also, we take MANY liberties with the timeline from Canon and use events from other Canon episodes to make this a more believable fiction, thanks.
AUTHOR NOTE: SORRY NO UPDATE TO STORY
/_/
Updates to this story will be delayed as I undergo some minor surgery next week. I will update as soon as I can,
A/N: Although I NEVER promise a CASKETT Ending to any of my stories, (Read my Profile) this one is, or at least was intended to wind up that way. I constantly get notes and reviews from readers thinking they know where or how the story is going or how it's going to end. Thanks for reading, if you want to move on, please do, I appreciate you trying the story out. The same for those who think they know the rules of Civil Service, Military or Police Procedures, again I say, IT's AU, lighten up.
Unlike TV, the issues between the two lead characters will take more than a 43-minute segment to make it all OK again. Real-life doesn't happen that way, and for those 'Guests' whose reviews tell me how wrong I am about the facts that I am writing, thanks but please review what ALTERNATE UNIVERSE means, if I didn't write it, it didn't happen. If you want to point out how old Martha is, or why she would or wouldn't need assistance, try writing a story to please everyone, don't waste your time leaving a review that will get trashed.
My profile also states that I don't post many Guest reviews, too many have been nasty for me to invest in reading them in their entirety, so if a quick glance shows me what they usually contain, it's trashed. If you wish to discuss points of MY interpretation of the story, please log in, I have had healthy exchanges with many of my readers, (Paula), and others who keep me honest, BUT they are done respectfully.
I have reported a few of the so-called guests who have wished COVID on me or my family and other very derogatory comments, so sad they live such a small life they must project their view of themselves on others, be careful what you wish for Karma is a nasty B, and I won't give them credence by even mentioning their names.
If you love a story and all of a sudden, the updates stop, you can probably thank these lovely people for contributing to the END of the few remnants of the show we all loved so deeply. I used to think those people were so rude not to finish the story that they started and often poured their hearts into. Now I can understand that they realized that it wasn't worth it to continue.
I'm sure I'll get comments like if you don't like criticism don't post, fair observation, but I would add if it's courteous, then I have no problem, hearing what you didn't like, just not behind some anonymous computer screen that adds to your courage to blast away. I have a few guest reviewers Tallcajon comes to mind, that we have disagreed but have had healthy dialogue between us, always respectful on both sides.
When you attack me personally, it shows the lack of respect, the ONLY thing that all writers here ask for. If you don't like the story, move on, or if you're so inclined leave a review, but be polite. Writers put many hours into their works in hopes to keep a little of CASTLE alive for us all, all we ask for is respectful comments if you so choose to leave one.
I write for my own enjoyment, and to keep Castle alive in my mind, so I never ask or plead for reviews or follows, I don't even keep track until the story has been completed but I do read every PM, every review, and try to answer the questions asked. I have written some stories I have not even published, because of the feedback I know I will receive, it's not worth the effort.
I have had some requests and I plan on attempting to get to them soon, but I never will write any story based on the crap they put forth for Season 8, if you liked it, good for you. As for me, the series finale was Hollander's Woods. Also, I never will write Kevin and Alexis, or Espo and Kate, it sends shivers up my spine to even think of those combinations, again if it's your wheelhouse, God Bless.
I fully intend on finishing this story as I originally outlined it. I think Tank put it best in one of his reviews, I do outline and research every story I write so the plot development is to use a word I hated from Marlowe seems Organic. My advice to those new to my writing is to hang on, as Dreamwriter put it, there are more twists and turns than found in a pretzel factory in most stories.
For those who leave constructive remarks, Thank You, and even those who leave their opinion of why the story is not for them, thanks as well, I appreciate the courtesy. To my fellow writers' thanks for undergoing the same situations as I, and for persevering, you are keeping the series alive for many people and I thank you as a reader. I'll see you when I can,
Tim
