"...so that's when I heard Sea Hawk, and the next thing I knew, Sea Hawk was the one tied up, and I had teleported away! Guess I was just too eager to get away from him!" Glimmer laughed as she chopped the bundle of lettuce, knife easily splitting the leaves apart. Her laughing petered off, and her face morphed into a wistful smile. "Wish Mermista had been there to see it, though."

"Oh yeah, how're things going with her?" inquired Bow. He looked up from the cheese that he was cutting, smiling slightly after Glimmer's "epic" tale. The knife nicked his finger a little bit, and he sprang away, putting his finger to his mouth. "Ow!"

Glimmer's face developed a slight red hue. "Oh, you know, same old, same old. We're hoping it goes somewhere, but who knows, right?"

Bow smiled. A crash startled the two out of their chat, and both looked over to see Adora struggling with the oven.

"Yeah, that sounds great, Glimmer," wheezed Adora, attempting to smile, "but could you help me a little?"

The woman laughed a little and came over to help her friend. The oven popped open with a slight jiggle, and the two, relieved, retrieved their food from the heat. The three friends sat down to eat, chatting as they did so.

"So… how is it going with Mermista?" Bow asked slyly, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. Glimmer flushed.

"I-" she swallowed, "It's going well… I, uh, think she wants kids, though."

Bow looked surprised. "That's a pretty big step. Are you sure you guys are ready for that right now?"

Glimmer waved a hand. "That's way in the future, Bow. I would be ready for it after we get married."

Adora looked over at the two. "That sounds fun. I remember that Catra wanted to have kids at some point," she commented offhandedly, returning to attacking her sandwich with gusto.

Glimmer opened her mouth. "I-" She stopped. Purple eyes met blue, and Glimmer just stared. "She what?"

Adora nodded, smiling. "She said to me that she wanted kids. I mean, who doesn't? Unfortunately, I had to tell her that I didn't want them. She looked upset, but it was just my opinion, and I think she got over it pretty quickly," recalled the blonde.

Glimmer and Bow stared at Adora. The blonde looked up at them. "What?"

"Adora…" Bow started slowly, "did Catra tell you specifically that she wanted kids?"

"Uh, yeah?"

Glimmer stood up slowly, blinked once, and then started yelling. "What the hell, Adora?! When were you planning on telling us that?!"

"I don't see what the big deal is," said she, raising one eyebrow. "We were friends."

Glimmer sighed heavily. "Adora, I have an important question for you, so you better listen." Adora nodded. "Did Catra at any time put her lips to yours? At all?"

"Oh, all the time," Adora said. "That's called hugging, right? Something friends do?"

Glimmer and Bow just sat there, speechless, while Adora continued.

"I mean, that's what I always assumed," said the blonde, frowning. "Kyle and Rogelio did that all the time, and they were friends."

Bow stepped up to the plate. "Adora, that's called kissing. Not hugging. Okay?"

"Yeah, sure," said a distracted Adora.

"Adora, did you and Catra ever…" She blushed heavily and raised her hands in front of her, smacking the palms together and rubbing slightly. "...do that?"

"Uh, I don't think we ever smacked our palms together, except when we gave each other high-fives," Adora replied.

"Ugh! Sex! I mean sex! Did you and Catra ever… have… sex?" The now-tomato Glimmer said, frustrated.

"What's sex?"

Glimmer sighed. This is getting us nowhere. "Did you ever… touch the area between your legs… to the area between Catra's legs?" Both Bow and Glimmer were blushing now.

"Oh yeah, loads of times," responded the clueless blonde. "I think the first time was after we did this ceremony thing, and they put these bands on our fingers, and we… kissed?"

"YOU'RE MARRIED?!"

"Oh, so that's what it's called." Adora smiled. "Thanks, guys, I learned so much today!"

The blonde returned to her food, leaving Glimmer and Bow to sit in stunned silence.

"MOM!" An anxious Glimmer ran into Angella's bedroom, startling the woman as she put her hair up.

"Yes, Glimmer? What is it?" responded a concerned Angella.

"Adora's married to Catra, Catra wanted kids, and Adora left her to be with us because she didn't know that she was married or in a relationship with Catra!" Glimmer counted off on her fingers, breathless by the end.

Angella sat there quietly for a few moments. "Alright, get the teachers together."

"We're doing that?"

"Alright, we're here!"

Glimmer led Adora into one of the palace's many rooms, tugging the blonde's hand.

"Where's here?" asked Adora, looking around the room.

"The place that you're gonna learn about the best part of life," said Glimmer. "Bye!"

"Wait! Glimmer!"

Adora sighed and sat down at the lone desk in the room. The blonde was startled from her thoughts as a stream of people in suits and glasses came into the room. "Uh, hello?"

"Today, we're going to talk about the intricacies of our brains," droned one of the people. "We'll start with the topic of love…"

Hours passed by. Adora's face ranged from bored to red as a tomato, and by the end, she wished that she could get out of there.

"...and that's how reproduction works," finished another of the professors.

Adora blinked. That was a lot of information, but one particular thing stuck out to her.

The word "Catra!" echoed through the halls of the palace as Adora sped away, determined to visit her friend- no, wife.

Catra walked through the Fright Zone's empty halls, occasionally checking on the rooms branching from the main hallway.

The cat-woman sighed. Things just weren't the same without Adora around. How could she leave me? After everything?

"Psst! Catra!" a voice hissed from somewhere. Catra sighed. Great, now I hear voices.

"Hngg, stop it, head!" she growled. "I don't need to hear Adora's voice wherever I go!"

"Catra!"

A dark shape emerged from the wall it had been blending into. Shadows melted away to reveal the woman Catra fell in love with, in all her glory.

Adora rushed Catra into one of the rooms off of the hallway, shutting the door behind her. Once she was sure that there was no one, Adora turned to Catra and opened her mouth, but Catra got there first.

"Adora, what the hell are you doing here?! You know that I despise you for what you did to me and that if Hordak or anyone else were to catch you, you'd be dead in an instant! What were you-"

The cat-woman was cut off by something warm on her lips. Adora was kissing her. The blonde's lips gently kneaded hers, soothing her.

Adora broke away too soon. "Catra… I-I'm so sorry." The blonde was crying. Tears streamed down her face, leaving tracks across those pretty little cheeks of hers. Her blue eyes swam with tears, and she sniffed.

Catra turned away from her wife, snorting. "I don't believe you. How could you do this to me? It's like you didn't even know what this relationship meant!"

Silence prompted Catra to look back at Adora. The blonde's face was sheepish, and her eyes were looking anywhere but at Catra.

"Wait… you didn't? You really didn't?" Catra said, disbelieving.

Adora smiled a little bit, hesitant.

Catra started giggling. Soon, she was laughing, and then she was guffawing, the sheer funniness of the situation overwhelming her. "God, Adora. I knew you were an idiot but not this much of an idiot." Catra smiled at her wife, knowing that Adora truly understood what she meant to Catra. "I love you."

Adora smiled widely, tears returning. "Oh, thank God, Catra, I missed you so much…" Adora wrapped her arms around Catra, hugging her tightly. "I love you too, so much."

For the first time that the two could remember, it was just them, wrapped in each other's arms in the darkest hours of the night.

"I still want kids."

"Oh, Catra…"
