Hi Folks! Here's the third chapter inspired by Cassie's artwork. The picture is of Harvey's hand in Donna's hair holding it with his wedding ring very prevalent in the picture. I thought it would be cool to have one of their children's point of view. Please enjoy a perspective over the years of Mommy's Hair. Love-Carebearmaxi.

Mommy's Hair by Lily Amanda Specter

Mommy's hair is long and beautiful. It is the color of the summer sunset all light and dark orange. People tell us that my sister, Mimi and I have the same color hair because we are twins. Daddy says absolutely not! He says our hair is more like strawberry blonde. Daddy says mommy's hair is unique. Daddy says our hair is lighter because we are part of him and his hair is blonde. Daddy's hair is more blonde in the summer because of being outside; normally it is an ash blonde so it looks dark.

Daddy loves mommy's hair a lot! Mimi and I caught them kissing. Daddy was running his hands all through it while they kissed. The sun was bright on the beach and the shine from daddy's wedding ring almost blinded us. We giggled because it's funny watching mommy and daddy kissing in the middle of the beach in front of people.

Daddy loves Mommy very, very much. He loves mommy's hair especially. Mommy played a trick on daddy and pretended she cut it. Mommy actually put it up. Daddy was so sad and mad that Mommy said she would never cut it because he liked it that way long, red and beautiful.

Daddy loves Mommy's hair because he says it is uniquely hers and she his is heart beat.

We love Mommy's hair, too, because it's pretty. She also likes for Mimi and me to play with it. That's fun.

Years later...

Mommy's Hair by Lily Amanda Specter Ross

Mommy's hair is long and beautiful. It is the color of white and gray kittens with a little bit of her original red blended in the strands. She still wears it down, for the most part, except when she is teaching her yoga class. Mimi and I still say ours is the same color as the original, but Daddy still protests and says emphatically: 'Absolutely not!' Mimi's husband Cooper Litt and mine, James Ross, always tell us that our Daddy is just possessive. We don't care. We indulge Daddy to think what he wants to think. We always have because he still loves Mommy after 25 years together and he still loves us, Mimi, Gordon, and me, with all his heart and soul.

Again just like twenty years ago when we were little, Mimi and I caught Mommy and Daddy kissing in the sunlight on the beach. This time, the people sharing the beach and beautiful weather were both my children and Mimi's. Gordon was off with his fiancee so he didn't see it and would never have guessed the significance of it as my sister and I did. This time instead of standing in the sunlight they sat together on their beach blanket.

Daddy ran his hand through mommy's long blended locks with his gold wedding band still catching the light of the sun though not blinding us as badly as the first time.

Daddy loves mommy especially mommy's hair because she is his wife and his home and always will be.

We love mommy's hair because it is uniquely hers.

P.S. Thank you for the wonderful reviews and followings for not only this work but for my others, too. I am truly inspired.
