Anyway, thanks for the follows and reviews I really appreciate it, and remember to comment on things you like and things I should improve on. Also, I'm deciding if I should get some beta readers who will have a preview of the chapter before it's release and tell me things that I should add or take out. If I do make that, let me know if you would want to join.

Chapter 3: Summer Breeze

Cho woke up the next morning feeling more at peace than she usually did. She had realized that today was a workday and she didn't have to worry about traveling far. The Chang family owned a herbology shop in Diagon Alley called "Changs Herbes and Supply", and they would get customers now and then. Since it was the summer, many wizards and witches go to the shop to buy plants, soils, and other gardening tools. Cho's Granny Li would always take over when Cho's parents were off at work in the Ministry of Magic. Her parents had to work double jobs just to support the entire family and would often work in the shop when they were off from work. They would end to get more business when the school year was about to begin. Neville Longbottom, an upcoming 5th year Gryffindor, would always come to the shop during the summer to buy something. Cho knew he was a valuable customer since he was intelligent when it came to herbology. She also knew that Neville was friends with Harry Potter. The young Ravenclaw remembered her reaction when she read Harry's letter. She knew it would hurt, but didn't want to cry as she had already shed every tear her body can hold.

As she walked down the wooden stairs of her house (which was conveniently above the shop) she greeted her grandma who was sweeping the floors. Mr. Chang was wiping down the windows of the store and Mrs. Chang didn't seem to be around. "Mom's probably in the back,'' she thought to herself. Cho quickly wrapped the strings of her apron on and walked over to her father.

"Dad, what am I supposed to do today?'

Her father looked at her with a smile and said "Well just stay at the register for today."

Cho nodded and walked over to the register.

The store opened at around 10:00 and Cho sat behind the counter waiting patiently for the day to start. Hours had passed on and it felt like an eternity for Cho. About a dozen customers came into the shop, looking around the various plants the Changs offered. By looking at the tip jar, she can tell that there weren't even 4 sickles in it. The tip jar was a source of allowance for Cho, she kept the tips that the customers gave her and used it to buy things like gifts, Tutshill Tornados merchandise, or simply saved it for something bigger. She's recently been looking into getting a new racing broomstick for Quidditch season. Cho's Comet 260, couldn't handle the speed of the other house seekers' brooms like Harry's Firebolt or Malfoy's Nimbus 2001. The seeker for Hufflepuff was still yet to be decided and ever since Cedric, and the captain of the Hufflepuff team Zacharias Smith was having a hard time trying to find a new seeker.

Cho glanced at her wristwatch and came to find out, it was only 11:45. With a loud sigh, she stared at the store ceiling wondering when this snooze fest would end. The croaky voice of her grandmother spoke up, "Didn't your mother tell you that it was going to be busy?" The bored girl looked at her 86 year old grandma and simply nodded at her.

"Well, you know I need to drop off a sack of alihotsy seeds later on today. You think you can do it for me?" Granny Li said with a bright smile.

"I don't know Granny...it' just that Dad wants me to stay here for the rest of today. I-" Granny Li's voice rose and interrupted Cho. "Don't mind your father dear, I can take care of your shift. And by the way, I heard that the weather today is particularly nice." After a deep thought in Cho's mind, she concluded that maybe it was a good idea. "Alright then, when should I leave?" Cho asked. Granny Li looked over to the clock hanging above the register counter and after a moment of silence, she finally spoke up. "At about 4:30." Cho nodded but realized that she still had to stay in the store and finish the job. She would have wished that she could make time go faster but, for the remainder of her shift, she patiently waited for the time to come.

The summer breeze passed down Privet Drive and continued its way through the many houses. The brisk wind passed into Harry's room and with an instant, the now 15-year-old Harry awoke from his deep slumber. As he slowly but progressively got up from his bed, he took the time to look at his alarm clock and realized it was already noon. Harry was never allowed to sleep in due to his Uncle and Aunt waking him up at around 7 am every day just do some more chores. It was with a thought that maybe his relatives were out doing errands. The saggy eyes Harry was able to get dressed and head down to make himself some breakfast.

As he walked down the stairs of the Dursley's home, he found it very quiet. It was peaceful for him to know that 3 of the most demonic people on Earth were not near him. Maybe even You-Know-Who is afraid of them. For the next 30 minutes, Harry was able to enjoy a simple breakfast of cereal and orange juice without his relatives yelling at him for being a mistake. He took in the quietness of the home and made sure to savor every last second.

After breakfast, Harry washed his dishes and set them to dry. He didn't know what to do for the remainder of his morning. He thought about many different things like trying the twin's candy, writing a letter to Sirius, or-. He stopped for a moment. A certain picture drew across his mind. It was a picture of him and Cho dancing at the Yule Ball. Both of them in each other's arms, moving their feet to the music of the Hogwarts band. He sank deeply into the thought of this. A smile started to grow on his face. Having the idea of him dancing with Cho in her light color qipao dress made Harry happy. Her almond eyes staring deep into his own. His shoulders started to fall and his eyes were closed shut. Harry would continue the thought of him and Cho enjoying each other's company.

"POTTER GET THE GROCERIES!"

Harry finally snapped back into reality and saw his Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and Dudley walk into the living room.

"Didn't you hear me boy? GO GET THE GROCERIES!" shouted Uncle Vernon.

"Uh….y-yes, sir."

Harry let out a silent groan of frustration. His fantasies would have to hold to halt for the time being and proceed to walk out the front door. Bag after bag the extremely tired boy finished carrying in the 15 bags or so of groceries each weighing about 60 pounds. He would then have to put all the contents in the cabinets and refrigerator. Looking at the products, it seems that most of the food that was bought is all candy and biscuits. It must have been for Dudley he thought. Dudley has grown to about 6 foot 4 and by the looks of it, he must have weighed over 300 pounds.

The task was finally finished, and Harry chugged down an entire cup of water in the hopes of it stopping his sweat. Aunt Petunia was on the armchair knitting and glanced over at Harry who was still trying to recover. She gave him a disgusted smirk and muttered, "What a disappointment." Her voice was extremely soft and Harry didn't hear his Aunt. After recovering for some time, Harry was able to control himself from the relentless sweat that was pouring down his face. He stood straight up and thought about something. He walked over to his Uncle on the couch and asked him a question.

"Uncle Vernon, Is it all right if I can head to town for the day?"

Vernon looked at his nephew with a sneer.

"Perhaps, if you behave."

"For the past week, I've been doing all the chores. Surely that can count for something," said Harry.

For a moment, they stood in silence. Uncle Vernon finally spoke up.

"Well…...NO!"

"Why not? I've been behaving and it's my birthday."

Suddenly, Harry's fat cousin Dudley burst into laughter. It sounded like a laugh of an ape to Harry but he tried to ignore it. He waited for his Uncle to answer back but Dudley's laugh was just too annoying for Harry to handle. After the laugh, Dudley was finally able to compose himself and started to speak on behalf of his father.

"Why the hell do YOU think you deserve something Potter!"

"Well Dudley, unlike you I work for prizes and I know how to shut my mouth," said Harry.

"Shut up? What do YOU know about shutting up! I can hear you every night talking to yourself."

Harry brought up a confused expression but allowed his cousin to go on about his point.

Dudley began once again, "DON'T KILL CEDRIC! NOT CEDRIC!" Dudley tried to mimick Harry. "Who's Cedric? Your boyfriend?" Dudley began to laugh. Meanwhile, Harry curled his hand into a fist and tried to keep his cool. "Is Cedric your boyfriend? You're nothing but a FAGGOT with dead parents Potter." Dudley and the rest of the family began laughing at Harry. Tears started to form in the emerald eyes of Harry and with no hesitation, he jumped onto Dudley.
