~Listening to her.~
(Part 1/5)
23 years old Tyson Granger had carefully set alarm for sharp 6.30 a.m, and placed his phone on the futon beside his loyal blade containing the bit beast.
He was cautious and serious last night, because he had charged his phone fully, pressed a white shirt nearly and formal jeans and did all the preparations for today.
Today was their University Exhibition, and students from different colleges would be visiting them. It was a big, awaited and auspicious day. Though Tyson didn't really prepare any model, or was expecting and medal today, he had helped his classmates in preparing seminars, charts of how the pharmacology of antibiotics would work, models for anatomy starting from skull to ear to toe... and the list went endless. He provided them whatever help he could. Today was the final day where the Deans, committee members and students from other colleges would be visiting them. The best model from each department from each Year would be selected and he was eager to see every part of result of it. He didn't want to miss anything. Plus, Max has been equally excited about it. They were in 2nd year presently and things were just going lucky for them.
Loyal to his alarm, he perfectly woke up without any procrastination. Taking a warm hot shower in early winters was not his favorite thing to do, but as a professional graduate, he would do it anyway. His athletic built earned him hard muscles, stone hard tanned back and an overall brawny appearance with rugged features- deep brown eyes, seeming to be oceans deep, thick eyebrows, perfect midnight blue lush hair, and firm stark jawline to add to that splendid masculine beauty.
His hair had been cut decently till his nape and tied in a Japanese pony.
"T-man," Ryu yawned, walking inside his grandson's room, "Why don't you skip a day today and grab more sleep?" He wickedly teased.
"No way," Tyson snorted, "I've waited for today like so long," Tyson buttoned his white shirt and the sleeves, taking out his black tie and coat. Ryu smirked. Grabbing his red and black colored bag, plugging precious iPhone in his pockets, he took his wireless white earpods and inserted them in his ears.
"Have a nice day, Tyson." Grandpa walked out, "Dare to skip breakfast and I'll war whoop your University," he peeped and warned.
Tyson sighed and binged on the breakfast.
"Here..." Grandpa handed him few notes, for his lunch and youth-kind-of-expenses.
Tyson rode on his bike, revving it in his masculine charm, playing some morning fast songs on his phone. The lyrics and fierce music blared in his ears, which were ready to take it all.
Whistling softly, he veered his bike and drove on the main road, keeping a track of time.
"Yes Max," he answered the call,
"Ty! Come fast!" Max giggled uncontrollably.
"Why what happened?" Tyson nervously smiled,
"There are beautiful girls here from other colleges! Enrique is swooned, Kai is froze, Kane is besotted, Zeo is dreaming...And, and I'm all of it!" Max laughed mirthfully.
Tyson chuckled, "Tell them to just wait for me. They are doomed!" Tyson grinned. Max laughed harder,
"Plus, the models and displays are just awesome! Let's give it a round, come fast," Max said,
"Oh oh, she's looking at you," Tyson said impishly, teasing his friend.
Max turned literally but he understood it was a joke.
Tyson smirked, "Bye!" Tyson revved up his bike, and within few minutes, he was inside the university. There was a large ground with five sturdy buildings in a semicircle, and an auditorium behind. Tyson parked his bike amongst the others.
He got up, took off his earpods and plugged in his pockets and hung one strap of bag on his shoulder.
There were crowds of students splayed across the ground. He gave a look around innocently. There were girls, guys in crowds he didn't see here before.
'So they all arrived huh?' He thought and headed to the main central building's block walking in the ground's way.
His eyes froze for a second and he stopped in his tracks just before he was about to enter inside. He gradually turned to his right. He spotted a crowd of girls talking and laughing joyously. Everyone were either giggling, laughing, pouting or talking out loud. But there was one girl among them who was silent and listening attentively to them, not saying a word, but just smiling.
'Beautiful,' his heart whispered breathlessly in a second. His eyes calmly examined her. She didn't say a word, she was silent. A small smile was there or else her cute teeth flashed at them in a grin. Her auburn eyes were tipsy and ethereal. Tyson smiled amusingly at what he was feeling, but he ignored his crazy heart and turned to head. Suddenly he realized that she actually caught him staring at her. He looked at her. They innocently gazed at each for few seconds, blinking virtuously.
Neither of them smiled, but purely examined each other's faces and probably a little more. The corner of his lip rose slightly and he turned and ignored her.
He walked inside the building and climbed up to third floor hastily, reaching to their hall where he was working up.
"Hey!" Max waved. Tyson ran up quickly and caught up.
"Gotch ya!" Tyson winked and the duo exchanged a funky handshake. The hall contained many tables with models and charts stuck on wall, chairs around for the students who belonged to it.
They headed inside the hall where their models were kept on a large table, the last table basically. Kai was seated quietly on the chair near the window, irked by Enrique who was continuously flirting with Mariam.
"Hey, Enry," Tyson patted the blonde from back, and placed his chin in his hand on Enrique's shoulder, winking decently at the blunette. Mariam narrowed her eyes and averted her gaze to other side.
Tyson smirked and left Enrique, done with teasing Mariam. The blunette turned with some hot attitude, to stomp away, and crashed against Max.
"Oh, are you okay?" Max caught get arms and helped her to balance.
"Yeah Maxi." Mariam gritted her teeth and walked off.
"We should give respect to the guests!" Kai said, seeing Tyson's inevitable antics.
"Yeah," Tyson sighed sarcastically and sat on his chair beside Kai and kept his bag. Max just gave a dreamy smile looking at Mariam trudging away
The students of the first table played some light music, Haunt you and sang along loudly. They rhythmically were swaying their shoulders and flirting with girls who were from other colleges. Their female classmates sighed, jaded of the boys' antics.
Loved you from the first time that I saw you
In the kitchen with your hair under a baseball cap
"Look at them!" Max laughed. Tyson chuckled. Kai sighed. He was the President for 2nd years but how helpless he was. There, Zeo, Kane and many other boys were etiquettely flirting and serenading for girls like that who were not even from their college. The foreign girls were sort of baffled and amused. They didn't respond. The group of girls, stared at the horizontal line of boys standing before them, swaying their shoulders rhythmically and singing along the lines of music.
Tyson smirked, but ignored them. He stood up and started arranging their models on the table, sticking up few posters, and helping a hyped-up Max in working. Kai guided them.
"These brats are making so much noise," Kai grunted but ignored strenuously. Tyson was habituated to his classmates' antics so he didn't have much problem. He flirted at times but not so prominently. He was still decent more than Max, less than Kai.
Enrique eluded away, barreling against the middle table and reaching out for the first table and sincerely joining the boys line who were devotedly flirting.
Kai had decided to pay Enrique for his work faithfully.
"Give me the scissors," Tyson said and cut the plastic tape before sticking a small last poster on window rods.
The foreign students visited all buildings, all halls on floors and were busy exploring. However the host students of this college were either loyal with their works or were swashbuckling around to see out. Enrique was one. Tyson wasn't interested, though he hoped that the auburn-eyed girl could come in front of him, he definitely wouldn't mind. He gave a light smile and adjusted the models in their final positions.
Kai offered him a broom. Tyson sweatdropped. Nonetheless, he took it and broomed the floor around their place and cleaned it.
"Guysss!" A loud voice screamed excitedly, "They are coming!"
The VIPs, guests, Deans were entering through the ground and they were welcomed by a special troop of students. Everyone were agog in excitement and revved up to the balcony.
Everyone rushed out of the halls and gathered near the balcony. All the verandahs, balcony edges of all floors, of all five buildings were filled with students, fighting to see the welcome that was grandly done.
Tyson grabbed Max and Kai and quickly dashed out of the hall, barreling and jostling away his classmates or whomever it was. Kai growled as he had to run begrudgingly while Max rushed.
Squeals, tumultuous roars and claps along with floods of talks and pandemonium shuffled in the air.
They luckily grabbed the rim of balcony and almost leaned out to see the show.
Martyles were showered, serene violins were played along sidelines, red carpets were already laid, and cheers followed.
Welcome speeches were given also, but their voices couldn't be heard as it got mixed in the mayhem of excitement.
"Woo!" Tyson squealed and whistled, just like others, absolutely living this moment simply. They were struggling and cramped congested along with other groups and crowds of students trying to grab the edge of balcony as the dozen of VIP men and women made their way through the entrance.
Tyson however was sticking and jostling everyone who tried to grab their spot.
Kai simply glared at his friends behaving not at all decently.
"Tyson, look there!" Max said, "That Lady is Dean of Springfield university!" Tyson looked simply
"Max, move a bit," Tyson struggled as he was sandwiched between various students busy in bantering, squealing and screaming and welcoming the guests.
"Max, see that old geezer! He got no hair man!" Tyson giggled.
"Haha!" Max squeaked in laughter, "And that Grey head! Gosh, did he marry a vampire or what?"
The friends cracked on joking and their sounds were mixed in others' voices cracking similar jokes and laughing. They could barely see them clearly as they were on third floor's balcony. All other balconies of other buildings on sides were similarly flooding with students too, violently squealing and fighting for the edge spot.
"Oh wow!" Tyson simply commented as another guest entered in. His gaze turned around to see the students behind him, but he didn't budge from his spot, he obviously didn't want to loose it. He looked on his right side of railing. His eyes traveled along the silver railing and landed on the same auburn eyes he saw sometime back.
'She's that...that same girl.' His heart bet like a crazy happy drum for a second. He stared at her in interest. He noted how her hair were deep brown, something like brunette, tied in a pony. 'Dragoon, her eyes are like virgin rubies!'
He smirked softly. She was in her own chic, smiling and laughing softly, but not a single word or comment was made by her lips. 'Those lips seemed lost at words,'. He was staring calmly lost in learning the rhythm of her lips. His eyes concentrated devotedly on her slender and perfect raw lips, with no gloss. Her tongue softly licked between them. Her gaze within the same moment in another second, landed on him. She too realized that he was the sane guy she saw in ground. They were daringly but loyal to their docile beating hearts, stared into each other, eyes seeming to talk like endless. The world seemed to fall in silence as they gazed at each other from a distance of few feet.
Talking
Why's everyone always talking?
Noise in my head, but it's nonsense
I can't feel nothing
Guarded
Don't overthink how we started
Knew from the second you walked in
This could be something
"Hilary, look there!" One of her friends called her, and she simply pretended to smile and laugh shyly seeing the guests still coming in. Tyson learnt her name.
"Hilary..."he said her name for the first time on his lips.
She spared him few secret glances in sidelines. Tyson bit his lip and absurdly yet amusingly smiled at her, his smile saying her that she's so sweet. She too shyly smiled back at him but looked at him genuinely. Tyson got that she was equally interested in him as he was. She smirked at him and he chuckled silently and smiled back at her coquettishly.
He closed his eyes and opened, flatly stating with his facial expressions that she was hot. Hilary smirked softly.
Tyson took out his phone and showed her surreptitiously. Max was just beside him, he had to be careful; thankgod, he was busy gawking at the useless people ahead in front. Tyson through gesturing asked with his movements of hands about her phone number, mimicking her demeanor, not saying a word but just signaling and gesturing.
She literally showed her fingers to him. Tyson's heart was in pure blossoming.
'Six fingers...' Tyson noted the first number. Then she showed him eight fingers, he noted the next. She was silently excited equally like him but she continued with their gesturing. He finally got her phone number! He quickly saved her number.
"Tyson, they are coming in! Let's go back!" Max shouted. Kai walked stoically inside, knowing it was waste to wait for both of his stupid friends.
"Yeah yeah, let's go," Tyson stuttered.
Hilary's lips slightly parted with slight dissatisfaction as she saw him walk into the hall. Tyson gave her a naughty smile and ignored her once again.
Nonetheless, Hilary learnt his name too. The only thing was she didn't know how his name felt on her lips.
"Hilary, are you okay?" Julia asked, Hilary nodded.
"Did anyone flirted with you?" Julia asked, just being cautious and protective seeing that Salima was flirted by some blue-head guy of this college. They were not from the college and were being flirted since morning, spare Hilary. Hilary shook her head on no.
"Thank God," Salima said in relief.
"Hm," Julia sighed. Hilary lifted her fingers and pointed towards her and then winked and gave a thumbs, gesturing them she was all perfect.
"That blue head guy!" Salima groaned, "He grabbed my skirt first, then he says it was my mistake! And then draped an arm around my waist-" Salima was annoyed.
"If I find him next time, I'll make sure his face is smacked!" Julia said angrily. Hilary sweatdropped. Hilary gestured them with her moments, 'Just chill,'
They nodded at her and left for exploring the next building.
Tyson's gang's last table was silent, they were reading notes frantically, waiting for the VIPs to come anytime and examine their models and works and question them. Two hours passed, no one was still there... Just the students were in busy in their final touches, preparations and displaying and other nerds were around and squinting in their books.
"You got her number?" Max whispered in Tyson's ears, and shook daylights outtakes him.
Tyson sweated, "W-What?"
"What?" Enrique interjected.
"Nothing, it's nothing!" Tyson said quickly.
Kai glared at them, "Hnn." Their eyes quickly fell back on their books.
"How do you know?" Tyson hissed.
"Because I'm coolest, cleverest Maxie!" Max whispered. Kai didn't notice their antics.
"Yeah, I got her number." Tyson murmured,
"She's not from our college, but she's so pretty for you, Tyson," Max whispered in hilarity.
"Whatever," Tyson was flushed but he managed to simper secretly.
Tyson was not a very open person. He kept many things to himself despite Max being his closest and best friend. Even though Tyson was staring at the book, his mind was in fantasy. 'Her deep blue collar was flamboyantly open, upper buttons opened, revealing a peck of her cleavage.' Tyson's breath stormed as he imagined. He calmly ignored his thoughts once again...
He amusingly bit his lower lip, blushing a bit. 'Dragoon, she's... she's...beautiful!'
Tyson's heart was for the first time drawn towards a girl seriously. He couldn't stop but think over and over about her smiling, giggling and not even speaking a word. 'Such a reserved person... Lucky me, got her number.' He excused himself to go to bathroom and walked to the silent desolated corner of the terrace.
He took out his phone, texted her.
'Hey...'
He waited for her to reply.
Hilary was with Julia, exploring the Physiology department in other building.
"This heart! Look at it!" Salima said,
Hilary smiled. She pressed her index finger's tip against her thumbs and admired it with her gesture.
Her phone buzzed and she looked at her WhatsApp message.
'Who's this?' She messaged back.
Tyson quickly replied his name. Hilary smiled shyly but was amused.
'Say...' she messaged back, excusing herself to go to washroom.
'Hilary...' he messaged back, taking inhales of tons of air. 'I want to say your name,' he messaged.
Impressed she was. She smiled happily and victoriously to herself, 'Say it, then, Tyson.'
'Come to hear me,' he texted back, giggling heartily.
She laughed slightly but no sound came almost. 'Where,'
'Terrace, here.' He messaged. She purposely didn't reply but he got the hint that she would come when she went offline.
She went to other building on few minutes and panted hard as she climbed the entire four floors to reach up the terrace. It took her quite of time,
But... her smile disappeared when he wasn't there. She frowned and looked around. The breeze scuffled away. Hilary's lips drooped down and she disappointingly turned to leave. Right then, she crashed softly against him. She gasped and stared at him in shock. He smiled calmly at him. He ushered her in. Hilary smiled shakily but was amused slightly. He stared her wordlessly and she was doing the same, two hearts beating in sync and delight.
"Hilary.." he whispered her name. She smirked with hilarity on her cheeks.
"You do realize that you came here just by my one text. Huh?" He chuckled.
She nodded. They were quiet, simply giggling softly and staring occasionally at each other on the next minute.
"C'mon Hilary, say something." Tyson urged her. Hilary smiled at him more.
"Why are you not saying anything?" He nervously laughed. Her smile faded and she closed her lips.
She took out her phone and with slight hurt eyes, she texted him. His phone buzzed. He guessed that she texted him something. He opened his phone to see her heartbreaking message,
'I can't speak... I'm muted congenitally.'
Tyson's eyes swiftly stared at her in utter shock. He was addled and baffled.
She looked hurtfully and slightly disappointed at his shocked face. 'Obviously, why would he like such a girl like me, who don't even speak ... He's such a handsome beauty, he can find any girl to satisfy him...'
Her half lidded eyes dropped low, glassy rubies shining in insult and grief. He was utterly silent for a minute more...
"So those lips don't speak, huh?" He asked her. She shook her head in no, still not looking at him. Her gaze was shamefully lowered.
A tear shivered near the edge of her eye. Tyson bit his lips in embarrassment.
"By the way, I love everything perfect... and so-" Tyson trailed,
She jabbed her fingers angrily on her phone, 'Well I'm not perfect!'
Tyson looked at the screen and read the new message. "You're beautiful and beyond perfect." He said calmly, his navy blue hair ruffling against hair cheerily.
Hilary surprisingly looked at him, her eyes wide. He took a step closer to her and boldly looked in her eyes with daring love,
"Pure lips... which never said anything, bad not if any good. Pure heart, which never let that happen." Tyson's husky breath vibrated dramatically on her lips.
His eyes caught a glimpse of her bare flaunting neck, unbuttoned so casually for him. But his eyes were locked on hers.
"And everything's that's perfect and pure is taken rightfully by Tyson Granger," he said with a sort of chuckle, but his voice was demanding. Without her permission, he passionately kissed against her lips.
'Dragoon! Dragoon... she felt heaven, she felt like seraphic beauty!'
He wrapped his arms round her slender waist and rammed her against him. She almost moaned, but she was delightfully kissing him back too. She turned her head to get a break, but Tyson's lips were stuck on hers, he didn't budge, unfazed and sensually molded and danced against her lips, hooked on them.
'Hooked on her lips, lost in her eyes, whipped on her heart, and bounded in her soul... Dragoon, this is...this is so real.'
He didn't progress to deepen the kiss. He moved back and looked at her face. She was heavily pink. She gawked at him. Frowning, she moved back,
Taking her phone, she texted 'Why did you kiss me, honestly?' She glared at him, even though she didn't want to. She liked him and her heart didn't protest anything for what happened right now.
"Because I like you, Hilary." He said gently after reading the message. She sighed and relaxed a bit.
Smiling shyly, she managed to smirk. She covered her face in her hands, and gleefully chuckled. 'So...so he likes me back?' Her heart was beating in euphoria.
He amusingly examined at her, folding his arms, standing a feet apart. 'Well... that was a first time for me too. Tyson Granger never was concerned about girls...but well, Hilary is a first time.' He sheepishly rubbed his head for a second.
Her fingers covering her face slipped down and her eyes peeped out of that hands that were veiling her. She looked at him that he still standing there. Heavily blushed, she covered her eyes again. She laughed softly, so purely in this first love experience. 'This is first time for me. The sensation of love...its n-new. But its...kinda... sweet.,'
She definitely had a thing for him if not she would accept how blissfully she has fallen for him within their first two to three staring-romances.
Same was for him. He wanted her, not so fast but yes, he was all for her. It was time for him back to experience the adventures of liking a girl, falling for her, and all that followed next till the end. After all, everything that's adventurous and hormone-driven-ecstasy was life.
Tyson smirked at her. Giving her the time to properly blush out for the things he just made her feel and managed for her to get all excited just like him, he slowly left the terrace. 'Its time to start this slow, my-type swashbuckling.'
Hilary peeped through her fingers and saw him leaving and she was relaxed. Sighing, she threw her hands aside. 'How can someone be so sweet? And what's with that charm on his face...' She pouted as thoughts drifted in her mind. She patiently waited for five minutes before she left the terrace to go to the other building where her friends were waiting.
Tyson eluded inside the hall without being noticed by the Professors and VIPs who were checking, examining and discussing models of front tables. Tyson was careful but he calmly ducked his head and reached for his table. Kai gave him a death glare for being so late in arriving and disappearing simply like that.
"Sir, the anatomy of the middle ear has been shown here, and its connected to various nerves that were already discussed with foramens," Kane answered. The hall was still not very silent, but Tyson's gang could discreetly hear the discussion going on.
Kai was calm but alert too. Max was nervous, Tyson was feeling slightly dizzy but Enrique managed to keep a stupid smile of confidence on his face.
After few more minutes, the grey head Supervisor reached their table. They were calmly noticing his examining.
"Who prepared this model?" The Supervisor asked,
"Me," Tyson answered when Max was dumbfounded. Because Max had prepared it actually,
"What is it?" He asked,Tyson didn't has much idea about the model but he managed to say about it, "It's about how the process of Transcription is done," Tyson answered confidently and lucidly.
The grey head nodded and rest of the questions were for the head and Kai managed every inch of twisted question that was asked. Impressed, the Supervisor patted Kai and smiled at them,
"Nice work guys. I liked the eye model the most," he commented and left. They bowed, "Thank you sir."
The rest of the time, they were free. Basically everything was over and now they could just spend time either eating or showing off their models to foreign students or girls who came there. Max went ahead for Mariam, who was on first table, while Kai took a careful nap, and Enrique browsed his phone monotonously.
Tyson was patiently waiting for a certain girl once again, hoping she would visit him. The new feeling was exciting for him. He leaned back on his chair, staring at the baby blue colored sky out of the window. In his eyes, he could still see her instead of the beautiful trees whose leaves were elegantly swaying. The sky felt like oceans deep as he concentrated on what actually he was seeing. He abstained himself from texting her. 'She'll definitely text me, hm.' He was very cocky about himself and his thoughts. Fantasizing about her and the various depths he would go in this new bare relationship, he leaned against Kai and kept his head on his shoulder.
'What is a relationship by the way?' He chuckled in mockery. Loosening a button, he still thought about her. 'Damn, she IS daring. She stood right there unbuttoned so coolly.' He admired in his crazy mind.
"What is it?" Kai asked,
Tyson smiled crazily and pulled back his head, "Its a beautiful girl who's not from our college," Tyson said with a cough. Kai was both surprised but he sighed,
"You too?" Kai said, indicating that he thought Tyson was different than Max and Enrique.
"Me too!" Tyson grinned, his chin dancing in some sort of victorious happiness.
"Good luck." Kai smiled softly. "Knowing who she has messed up with, she's damned, " Kai smirked,
"Hehe...damned won't suit. She's... she's silent and I love just to hear her even if that's by heart," Tyson dreamily said, Kai didn't understand but he didn't push.
'Her silence... that killed me right in my mental paradise.' He whistled softly, serenading some music, 'That beautiful silence, that locked lips that don't say anything but tells everything she's feeling. Damn Tyson, you so l-like her, like superseding every inch of feeling of infatuation,' He couldn't stop thinking of her. 'Her silence...that silence...that beautiful beautiful silence,' Tyson restlessly mused without a break.
The rest of the day passed simply without much adventure or enthusiasm Tyson has hoped for this day. He roamed along the different buildings, along with Max, hoping he could spot Hilary somewhere. He could have texted her but he didn't want to show that he was mad about her,
"I'm tired, Ty. Let's go back," Max scratched his head as they explored the fifth building of the corner, which had Ophthalmology department along with others.
"Let's explore some more. The models are so creative here... You should be strong Max, we are gonna be doctors after all one day," Tyson said casually as he continued scrolling his gaze everywhere to watch one glimpse of the ruby eyed brunette. But... she was no where.
After they spend quite of hours of exploring, Tyson gave up and sighed defeatedly.
"Let's go back. Kai might be waiting," he suggested,
"What are you saying?" Max laughed slightly, "Kai already left. Plus, Enrique wrapped up our place. It's too late for now." Max looked at his phone which showed 4.20 p.m.
"Oh," Tyson blinked, registering his words,
"The exhibition will continue till 6 p.m but the VIPs already left at 4." Max yawned with watered eyes, smiling.
"Boy, you should sleep now," Tyson laughed.
"I'll drive. Shall we leave?" Max asked.
"Yeah," Tyson took out his keys from his pockets and the duo headed to their bikes. The birds were returning home, chirping dully. The sky was grey pink.
Tyson gripped on the bikes handlebar and revved up, swishing away on the plain road. Max drove in opposite direction as per his home.
The day didn't go as cool as he thought. He was left with some restless feelings haunting him. He felt like he was back to some empty place. Even in everyone's presence, talking, he couldn't feel anything. Like it was nothing.
Knew from the second you walked in
This could be something
Dreaming
I'm wide awake while I'm dreaming
Seeing in your eyes what you're thinking
So please don't worry
'There was something in her silence...' his mind droned again. He sort of scowled and speeded once again, accelerating.
'So she's muted. Can't speak, huh. Can't say my name on those pretty lips,' he smiled sarcastically but then his features softened. The sky's shadows was accentuating this sharp features
A/N: Well, this is all for the first part. How do you think it is? Sweet, as for now? Review please!
