Author's note: Hi! I'm DartDart, long time fanfiction reader, first time fanfiction writer! I guess I'm suppose to say that I don't own Ducktales, I don't. There, I said it. Hope you enjoy!

Bold is dialog from the episode, italics are Lena's thoughts.

Bang-bang bang-bang! Lena whirled around in surprise, spotting a shaking metal vault door that had not been there a moment ago. Boredom and curiosity overtaking her, Lena approached it, feeling an inexplicable connection as Huey, far too wrapped up in his own head, failed to notice the worsening rapping continuing to erupt from the rattling door. Bang-bang ba-bang! Lena hummed in appraisal. "Hum, secret Huey mind door. What is-" She studied the haphazard red letters scrawled across the door. "The Duke of Making a Mess?" "Nothing!" Huey screeched, scrambling after Lena and forcing himself in between her and the door. Ignoring Huey's plea of "No, don't open it!", Lena pushed past him and turned the hatch wheel before slinging the door wide open. Emerging from the empty blackness, a figure much like Huey, but in a tattered red hat and polo, panted and snarled, a wild and dangerous look in his eyes. The Duke of Making a Mess apparently, screeched and hurled himself out of the darkness and into the monochrome confines of Huey's mindscape, knocking both Huey and Lena to the ground in the process. Snarling, Duke whirled on Huey, pawing the ground like a bull readying to charge. Scrambling to his feet, Huey backed away slowly before rushing foreword to intercept Duke's attack, grappling with his doppelganger before backwards somersaulting and kicking Duke back into the abyss, slamming the door closed behind him. "And stay in there!" Huey shouted, sweating slightly. Lena gaped at him in awe. "Huey!" That was amazing! "That's you true strength! You have that hiding inside you?" Huey turned to face her, a look of shame and desperation marring his adorable face. Wait, what? "Deep, DEEP down-" he emphasized, stating the rest in a dejected manner. "Where it belongs. The Duke of Making a Mess-" Huey faltered. "Is the part of me that is pure emotion. 'Gets in the way of my thinking and is against everything I stand for!" Lena smiled empathetically. Been there."Take it from someone who used to be Magica's shadow; you can't ignore the parts of yourself you don't like, even the parts you're afraid of." Huey looked away sheepishly, tears prickling at his eyes. Lena placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You gotta own them." Huey met her gaze hesitantly, his face pink. "But he's pure chaotic rage!" Lena held back a sigh. "And you are pure frustrating order! Think of what you two could do together!" Lena gave his shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "If anyone can handle that thing it's you." Huey's face turned an even brighter red and, he could have sworn he saw a hint of pink on Lena's cheeks too. "Now go!" She ordered, pushing him towards the heavy metal door. Determination set, Huey took a deep breath and made his way to the door, forcing it open. Lena marveled at how far the young duck had come. Sure, in some ways he was still the same stubborn uptight paranoid know-it-all, but nobody's perfect. She could see him growing day by day and with every new choice, learning from his mistakes and trying to be better. Besides, she was no one to judge, knowing she was far from perfect herself. Remembering where she had been and recognizing how far she had come, Lena had hope for him, and just maybe, they could continue growing together. When Huey turned to face her, Lena forced herself back to reality. His expression was one of submission. "Remember me as I was." "Ugh." Lena rolled her eyes and motioned him forward, ignoring the blush that had risen on her own cheeks. As Huey strode through the door, it slammed shut behind him of its own accord. Although slightly startled, Lena grinned, preparing to send them both back into the real would. He could do this. I know he can. Lena raised her fingers. Snap!
