"Oh," Levi's voice quivered. It was like a landslide, washing away all of the raven's Omega excitement.

The house was silent for a good minute then Kenny spoke. "The long journey must have crushed them." The old Alpha explained. "It's quite understandable since they are very fragile." Kenny leaned over the broken pieces, peeking up the thin frames, and examined them. They were bent thus the glass shattered.

"I... see," Levi gulped, blinking several times in hopes that it will hold back the tears. He turned to Eren's blurry figure, he thought he'll finally see his boyfriend's face but it seemed like it was not meant to be. "It's okay."

"No! I am not letting this go!" Eren slammed his palms on the table.

Levi flinched at the sudden noise, he can smelt Eren's disappointment and sorrow but there was a tinge of determination in the air.

Moving to the Omega's side, Eren took Levi's hands in his and held it tight. "Levi, I promised that I will help you. I gave you my word." The raven's hands were trembling, possibly from hold his emotions. Looking up at Levi, Eren can tell how much the raven was suppressing his emotions. Levi remained calm yet those blue-stormy eyes conveyed otherwise. Eren won't allow this. "Please, I want you to held on that okay?"

"Eren..." Levi almost croaked. "What are you planning?"

"I'm going back to the city. I'll personally go to get your glasses."

"You're leaving me?"

"I'm going to come back, you trust me right."

"I trust you but..." Levi held their hands up to his trembling lips. He doesn't want Eren to leave. For now, Levi doesn't care if he can't see clearly, as long as his Alpha will remain by his side. "I don't trust other people! Eren, the bandits that highjacked your train last time are still out there!" The raven protested.

"I know, but the lighting doesn't strike twice in the same place. I'm getting your glasses."

"Hey, don't cry. I'll be back with your glasses. That's a promise," Eren reassured, placing a kiss on the Omega's forehead, and with his free hand, he wiped tears in Levi's eyes.

"I believe you," Levi nodded weakly as looked up from his boyfriend. Trying his best to study the brunette's facial features, inhaling his calming rainforest-pine scent and feeling his hand laced on his. Levi doesn't want to let go, knowing that plans tend to change. No one can predict the future but deep in his heart, Levi trust that Eren will come back, safe and sound.

After a long tight hug and a peck on his lips, Levi watched the blurry figure of the Alpha he loved entered the carriage. The black carriage was pulled by four mighty stallions to the dirt path leading to the main road. The raven stayed on his spot, squinting his eyes in hopes to see the carriage from afar. When the sounds of heavy hooves grew distant and the carriage out of sight, Levi gasped, forcing himself to stop from crying.

"Come on, Le. Let's go home." Kenny patted his shoulder.

Levi bit his lower lip as he tried to stop the tears from falling again. He had so many doubts but he trusted Eren. He trusted that he'll come back. No matter what.

Days pasted, Levi spends most of his evening in Hange's greenhouse. Hoping for Eren's return. Before sunset, Levi waited on the same spot where he saw Eren off. Hange was a dear, she went to the carpenter and came back with a long bench for Levi to sit on while he waited. He could never thank her enough, especially when she joins him and told him interesting stories to distract him.

Yet during those times, the raven was hyper-alert. Perking up every time he heard the horse's hooves and the creaking of the wooden carriage coming towards their small town. But to his disappointment, those said carriages were nothing but merchants and the mailman.

"Cheer up short stack. Your lover boy will come back any time now." Hange reassured.

"I'm not sure Hange. What happens if he met a desirable Omega? The city is a big place with plenty of people..."

"He gave you his word, right?" Hange sat next to him, patting his back. "He'll be back."

Days turned to weeks and Levi was slowly losing hope that the Alpha will come back. His insecurities and doubts arose as the time ticks.

It was already four in the afternoon. It became a routine for Levi to go to the greenhouse and wait on the bench that Hange had set but this time, Levi decided to not go.

Tending his little tea garden, Levi tried to avert his attention to useful activities. Like his uncle said, brooding will only make things worst.

Levi was pulling the green weeds in his plants when he noticed a shadow cast over his area. The raven tensed, he didn't smell anyone that had approached him. With his free hand, he reached for the trowel that he brought with him.

"Levi."

"Erwin?" Levi blinked and looked up the blonde Alpha. Immediately, the Omega stood and took a step back.

"Umm hello."

"Hi..." Levi took another step back. He was not sure, he knew it was Erwin but he can't smell him. The voice, the built, and the blurry yellow hair. It's Erwin but no scent.

"Levi, I just want to say that I am sorry," the blonde apologized and took a step forward.

"No. Stop," Levi ordered grimly. He knew something was not right. He can't smell Erwin's strong Alpha scent.

"I'm sorry," Erwin sighed and took a step back.

"Yeah. I know. How long have you've been hiding your true feelings from me? You were masking your scent so I can't identify what you really felt?!" With the distance between them and recalling what happened, Levi exploded.

"Levi, I'm sorry. I know what I did was horrible. I liked you but we were best friends. If I showed my true feelings, I might lose my best friend," Erwin explained.

"And what you did, you just lose me. And I'm sorry because I won't accept you as my Alpha. Because I only see you as a friend Erwin." Levi stated crossing his arms on his chest. Never in a million years, Levi will change his mind as well as his heart. He'll remain loyal to Eren even if he doesn't come back... Levi shook his head, dismissing the negative thoughts. He had to deal with Erwin first.

"I know," Erwin sighed with a heavy heart.

"And Eren is my Alpha now. I choose him and he chooses me."

"I know..."

"Erwin. I wanted us to be friends again but its...ugh.. awkward," Levi winced. Deep inside, what Erwin did to him still hunted him. After what happened, the raven Omega secretly carried a dagger with him. Just in case but today he neglected to bring it.

Getting back to Erwin, Levi sniffed the air. When he deemed that he can't smell the blonde's strong scent, he zoned at him. "Even now you are hiding your emotions from me?"

"No," Erwin quickly supplied. "Levi, I got this medication. It's called a scent blocker. It successfully blocked my scent from everyone and it doesn't have any side effects unlike... my previous method..."

Levi tilted his head. He can't believe what he just heard. He knew that suppressants were invented to suppress one's heat but he had no idea about this 'scent blocker'. "Where did you get that?" He asked curiously.

"My father and I went to the city. This drug was fairly new but I can prove to everyone that it works well."

"You... went to the city? When?" Levi asked. He doesn't care about the drug but the idea that Erwin went to the city and came back... while his Eren...

"Three weeks ago, I arrived two days ago. I'm sorry, I should have gone to you when I got the scent blockers and apologized but... I'm a coward..." Erwin deflated.

Yet Levi didn't care, Erwin's cowardness was well established when he took advantage of Levi. The raven noted that Erwin left three weeks ago. Digging into his memory, Levi recalled that Eren left three weeks ago. Both of them went to the city but Erwin came back two days ago. Levi felt his heartache.

"Armin pushed me to come here," Erwin continued. "If it weren't for him, I'm probably still in my room, mustering the courage to apologize to you."

Levi sighed. "Armin looked after you. You should thank him."

"I will."

There was an awkward silence between them before Levi cleared his throat. "I'm... going to Hange."

"Let me walk you there," the blonde offered.

"No, not yet. I understand that you took the drug for me but... not yet."

"I understand..."

"Why don't you go to the library and thank Armin instead," Levi suggested.

"Okay," Erwin nodded, offering Levi a sad smile and left.

Levi took a deep breath, calming his nerves as well as his mind. Then he ran to the greenhouse, silently praying that Eren will finally return.
