In the forest.
Margaret was drinking rabbits blood. Her phone was vibrating. She takes it out. She get a text from Damon.
"Right behind you. (Damon texted. Margaret turns around.) Just like old times." Damon said
"Yes and the first time that we did it." Margaret said
"Are your cravings ok?" Damon asked Margaret
"Damon that's all I'm going to crave on. No more on human blood. I can't be like you. Or Caroline. Or Stefan. Don't know how Tyler's doing. He's a hybrid now." Margaret said
"So are you." Damon said
"You don't know that. My powers. I don't know when they're coming back." Margaret said
"Come on." Damon said
"No it's almost 6am and I have to get ready for school." Margaret said
"You still got time." Damon said
Damon touch Margarets cheek.
"I can't." Margaret said
"I'm sorry that I hurt people." Damon said
Margaret ran in her vampire speed. Damon ran after her. When he catches up to her. He tackled her on the ground. Margaret rolled and now she's on top of him. She started kissing him. He rolled and he's on top of her again. He was kissing her neck. But then she stopped when she saw her former best friend Vicki.)
"Vicki?" Margaret said
Mystic Falls High School
Margaret, Elena, Caroline and Bonnie are in front of the school. Elena has a scarf around her neck and Margaret is wearing sunglasses.
"Here we are. Senior year." Caroline said
"Anyone else think it should feel slightly more empowering?" Bonnie asked them
"Okay. So prank night was a bust. But we are accepting it, and we are moving on." Caroline said
"You're right. I mean, why should I let the fact that my boyfriend is seeing the ghost of his dead girlfriends hinder this experience?" Bonnie said
"Why should I let the fact that my boyfriend is not going to be worried about my new nature of becoming any other vampire?" Margaret said
"You got back together with Damon?" Bonnie asked Margaret
"We're...You can say that. Off and on again things. Figure I can give him a second chance. But got interrupted when Vicki spirit shown up." Margaret said
"So you're giving him a second chance?" Caroline asked Margaret
"Yes. And that's it. Caroline? Your turn." Margaret said
"Right. So why should I let the fact that my boyfriend was turned into a hybrid put a damper on an otherwise fabulous day." Caroline said
"Today's our anniversary. Technically, Stefan and I met on the first day of school last year." Elena said
"Yeah. You win." Caroline said
"Are you sure you want to be here?" Bonnie asked Elena
"I have to be here. I have to put it behind me. New year. New life." Elena said
"As of today will be different." Margaret said
Elena walked away. Margaret, Caroline, and Bonnie look at each other and follow Elena.
In the hallways.
Margaret take her glasses off. She inhale and exhale.
"Are you going to be okay with the rest of the student body?" Elena asked Margaret
"It's like you said. You have to be here and so do I. (Both Margaret and her sister goes to their lockers. Her phone rings, she answers, it's Damon.) I'm fine. Ok. No more blood cravings." Margaret said
"Apparently I might just have to come to your house more often. Cause right now we have a new housemate. Barbie Klaus." Damon said
"Why is Rebekah living with you?" Margaret asked Damon
"She's stranded. Apparently Klaus left her in the dust after I name-dropped Mikael." Damon said
Elena begged Margaret for her phone.
"And Elena wants to talk to you about Stefan." Margaret said
Margaret hands her phone to her sister.
"What is he up to? (Elena was talking to Damon on the phone.) Come on, Damon. I can handle it. What?" (He hanged up. She handed her sisters phone back to her. Caroline puts up a flyer on the wall which says "Spirit Squad Back-to-school Bonfire"... They walked towards her.) I forgot about the bonfire." Elena said
"You have to go. It's our first spirit squad event. And it sets the bar for the whole year." Caroline said
"Relax, Caroline. I'll be there." Elena said
"Well I'm not craving right now." Margaret said
Margaret sees Vicki's ghost again. Both Caroline and Elena looked but nothing was there. Vicki disappeared.
"Vicki again?" Elena asked her sister
"Yeah. I mean I was dead and then here I am. Undead. A vampire. Seeing my dead best friend." Margaret said
"Like Matt, Jeremy, and Jenna?" Caroline asked Margaret
Matt signaling Margaret.
"I have to go." Margaret said
Margaret leaves and suddenly Tyler arrives.
In the janitor closet.
"I know that you've seen her." Matt said
"I've seen her twice. It feels like she's everywhere. (Margaret's eyes turned red and veins appeared on her face. She inhale and exhale. It disappeared. Matt puts his hand on her right solder.) Matt...I..." Margaret said as she was cut off
Vicki appeared.
"Ooh the janitor closet." Vicki said
"Ok. She's freaking me out. I should go. (Margaret opens the door. Matt tried to stop her but her eyes turn red again and veins appeared with her fangs.) Don't touch me! Just leave me alone." Margaret said
History class.
Alaric, Elena, and Margaret are alone in his classroom.
"What the hell is he doing here?" Margaret asked her sister
"Klaus compelled him to watch over me. Apparently I'm one of Klaus's assets now that my blood is the only way to create a hybrid." Elena said
"Now he's a bodyguard?" Alaric asked his stepdaughter
"I don't know what he is. But he's definitely not Stefan. (The school bell rings and some students enter. Elena lowers her voice.) Look, his being here is not good for any of us. We have to do something." Elena said
The students enter the classroom. Elena and her sister goes to their chairs. Caroline sits next to Elena and Margaret sits on the other side but Stefan enters and goes toward her.
"You're in my seat." Stefan said
"Try the balcony, Asshat." Margaret said
Both Elena and Caroline laughed.
"This isn't over." Stefan said
Both of them stopped laughing. Stefan sits in the back. Alaric has written "AP AMERICAN HISTORY" on the blackboard in chalk.
"Welcome back, seniors. Let's turn our brains back on, starting with this country's original founders...the Native Americans." Alaric said
Rebekah enters the classroom.
"What about the Vikings?" Rebekah asked Alaric
Rebekah takes a seat at a desk. Tyler, Caroline, Elena, and Margaret look at her.
"There's no evidence that Viking explorers actually settled in the United States. Who are you?" Alaric asked Rebekah
"My name's Rebekah. I'm new. And history's my favorite subject." Rebekah said
On the football field.
Margaret and Elena is running on the running track. Stefan runs up to them.
"Look at you being all fit. Hey, you going to the bonfire tonight? Sounds like fun, right?" Stefan asked Elena
"You need to leave my sister alone." Margaret said
"Second time today. Klaus wouldn't like his other new asset for the way she's turning out." Stefan said
"What are you? Regular Ripper? No. You know what you are? You're Klaus's little bitch." Margaret said
A guy bumps into Elena accidentally.
"I'm sorry." Guy said
Stefan pushes him and he falls on his back.
"Watch it, dick!" Stefan said
Margaret walks to the guy and helps him up. She faces Stefan.
"You're the dick." Margaret said
Both Margaret and her sister leaves.
In a room.
Margaret helps her sister practicing on fighting.
"You need to work on your punches. (Elena put the weights up. She tried to punch her sister but Margaret ducks. And misses every kick.) Alaric's been training you. But you...(She stops her sisters leg.)...got to work harder." Margaret said
Margaret puts her sisters leg down.
"I don't get it. You being part human and part Angel. Still develope fighting skills and take down a vampire. Now that you are a vampire." Elena said
Elena and her sister stopped. Damon walks in.
"You called. I'm here. Hear you talking about vampires." Damon joking around
"Like one obnoxious Salvatore isn't bad enough. And Stefan is a completely different person." Elena said
"We need a plan." Margaret said
"I want to lock Stefan up, at least until this Mikael guy comes, kills Klaus, and the compulsion breaks." Elena said
"Compulsion or not, Stefan's high on human blood, Okay? A lot of it." Damon said
"You've gotten him off of it before." Elena said
"This is different. It's not a stint in rehab. His humanity's gone. Light's out. No one's home." Damon said
"Every single time I look at him, I feel like I'm going to break. And I'm not going to give him that satisfaction." Elena said
"Plans emotion." Margaret said
Night.
Alaric classroom.
"I'll lure Stefan away from the bonfire. Then when he's distracted..." Elena said
"I'll shoot him." Alaric said
"Then we'll handle the rest." Jenna said
"Can't Bonnie just ju-ju him or something?" Damon asked Elena
"I'm trying to keep Bonnie out of this. I don't trust that Stefan won't hurt her. Caroline, are you covered?" Elena asked Caroline
"Yes! I will make sure that the old Forbes jail cell is prepped and ready." Caroline said
"We're forgetting two more people. Rebekah? And Zander?" Margaret said
"Wherever Stefan goes, the blonde ponytail tends to follow." Damon said
"And Zander who thinks that he's on our side. Just lied to me. How he never wanted to hurt me. Damon you and me we'll go our separate ways." Margaret said
"And that is?" Damon asked Margaret
"Keep her away." Margaret said
"How?! She's an Original. Last time I checked, we're out of daggers." Damon said
"Preoccupy her with your charm." Margaret said
"Might have better luck finding the dagger." Alaric said
"Are you ever not going to be mad at me for a day?" Damon asked Alaric
"Doubtful." Alaric said
"I'll get Zander's attention. Get him away from the bonfire. I'll see what I can find out." Margaret said
"What about your powers?" Jenna asked her niece
"You don't have access to them anymore." Elizabeth said
"Then I'll find a way." Margaret said
Tyler walks in.
"Sorry I'm late. What's going on?" Tyler asked them
"We need you to raid your mom's vervain supply. Enough to keep Stefan down for a while." Elena said
"You can't do that to Stefan." Tyler said
"Why not?" Caroline asked in confusion
"Trust me, Tyler, it's in his best interest." Elena said
"Yeah. It's not in Klaus's." Tyler said
"But Klaus is the bad guy, Tyler." Caroline said
"Do you understand what he did to us?" Margaret asked Tyler
"Why are you acting like some freaky, hybrid, slave minion?" Caroline asked Tyler
"Uh-oh." Damon said
Damon looks suspiciously at Tyler.
"What?" Alaric asked in confusion
"Klaus made me who I am. I owe him everything. Margaret you can be free from them." Tyler said
"Oh, boy." Damon said
"What is going on?" Elena asked in confusion
"Be free from them? The angels? Do you hear yourself right now? I liked being part human and part Angel. You act like another bitch to Klaus." Margaret said
Damon takes a vervain dart off the teacher's desk.
"I'm just going to go." Tyler said
Tyler turns around and starts walking to the door. Damon rushes over behind him and injects him with the vervain dart. Tyler collapses.
"What are you doing?!" Caroline asked Damon
"He's been sired. He feels loyal to Klaus because Klaus's blood created him." Damon explains
"Loyal how?" Jenna asked Damon
"He'll seek acceptance from his master. It's really rare. But maybe not so much in hybrids." Damon said
"Oh my God. That means I could be? That I could be sired when he gets back." Margaret said
"We're not going to let that happen." Elizabeth said
Bonfire.
Zander was by himself. Margaret walks up to him, grabs his cup, and started drinking out of it.
"I thought u were mad at me?" Zander asked Margaret
"About what?" Margaret asked Zander
"That I told you that Niklaus was my brother." Zander said
"I'm over it." Margaret said
"I don't believe that." Zander said
"Come with me." Margaret said
They walked into the woods. Margaret disappeared.
"What are you doing?" Zander said
Margaret vamp speed behind him. She grabs him and started drinking his blood and groans n pain and she stops.
"That was for lying to me." Margaret said
Zanders eyes yellow. But Margaret uses wolfsbane and injected into him as he fell asleep.
In Lockwood cellar.
Zander wakes up to be sitting down and tied to a chair.
"What is this?" Zander asked Margaret
"What do you think? It was a trap. I had to lure you out." Margaret said
"I'm a prisoner now?" Zander asked again
"Interrogation" Margaret said
"I told you everything." Zander said
"Heres the funny thing. I don't believe you." Margaret said
"I'll tell you. (Margaret listens to his story.) I was 17 when I found out that my father Ansel had another child who was older then me. But kept the mother of his child a secret. N secret I was spending so much time with him. He was another brother I can look up too. Him and his other sibling Henrick watched me and my whole family turned into werewolves. One of my siblings killed Henrick. I tried to stop her but it was to late. Ester knew who I was. She put me down under a sleeping spell so that Mikael would never look for me. For a thousand years I've been asleep. 2 years ago I woke up and into this strange world. There's alot that I miss. But here I can learn. School. Pizza. Video games..." Zander said as Margaret cuts him off
"Yeah. Yeah. Just get to the point." Margaret said
"Two years later. Klaus was kept going on and on about finding the new doppelganger. Your sister Elena. He sacrificed her in the ritual. Klaus didn't tell Stefan about me. All summer he asked me to spy on you and your friends. Knowing that Elena was still alive. 1 second I was on that phone. I realized that turning her in would devastate you. So I hung up. Meaning that my new friends at Whitmore taught me what being a real friend was like. That's when I met you." Zander said
Margaret shed a tear. She ripped the chains off of Zander.
"Go." Margaret said
Zander gets up and walked away. But stops.
"I'm sorry for what he did to you and Tyler." Zander apologized
Salvatore boarding house.
Margaret arrives. Her mother hugged her.
"Mom I'm ok." Margaret said
Elizabeth stopped hugging her daughter. Elena, Jenna, and Alaric walked downstairs. Both Jenna and Elena hugged Margaret.
Stefan comes out of the living room.
"Well you got me tonight. Definitely wasn't expecting that." Stefan said
"That was the point." Alaric said
"Yeah. You know, you can hate it all you want, but Elena needs me. I'll always protect her. You guys are better off having me around." Stefan said
"No we don't. Your Klaus's little bitch. Under his compulsion. Stay the hell away from Elena." Margaret said
"Margaret its ok." Elena said
Elena walked towards Stefan
"Elena? You could have let me die in that fire tonight. Why didn't you?" Stefan asked Elena
"Because I still have hope." Elena said
"After everything I've done, you...You still think I'll be able to find my humanity again." Stefan said
"Yes, I do. I know who you really are better than anyone, Stefan. And I'm not giving up." Elena said
"Elena, do you have any idea how pathetic that makes you?" Stefan asked again
"No, Stefan, it makes me strong." Elena said
Elena punches his stomach drives two stakes into it with the sleeve weapon. She takes off the sleeve and gives it to Alaric. He looks at Stefan, smiles and closes the door.
"Impressive sis." Margaret said
"Yeah I learned from the best." Elena said
"I got to live somewhere else now." Margaret said
"Margaret you can move back in with us." Jenna said
"I can't. Not right now. I just need more time." Margaret said
Margaret disappeared.
Lockwood Cellar.
Damon brought her stuff.
"You don't have to stay here." Margaret said
"Let you stay here alone with Zander out there. Fat chance." Damon said
"What if he was telling the truth?" Margaret asked Damon
"Even if he did, he's still Klaus's brother." Damon said
"You probably right." Margaret said
"This is us tonight." Damon said
Damon kisses Margaret.
