This is sorta like a prologue, so it's gonna be kinda short, hope you enjoy either way!

Henry was Charles' best friend, and he had been for about four months now, ever since he had given the government evidence so they could arrest the toppats. Henry was... different than most people Charles had met. He didn't talk much, he was very lucky, and he always had the best plans. Even though he used to be a criminal, Charles always thought of him as a good governor. But, he thought of him of more than a friend, he loved Henry. But what if Henry didn't like him back? That would have been not very good, to say the least. Charles hoped he did, because he wanted to tell him that he loved him. It was going to be difficult, though. How was he going to build up the courage to do it? Where should he do it? He figured he should do it when he and Henry were alone. The sun was starting to set, and Ellie wasn't with them. They were preparing to leaving the government base. They got into Charles' helicopter, and took off.

Henry and Charles stepped out of the helicopter, and Henry was about to go inside, when Charles stopped him. "Hey, Henry? Can I talk to you for a second?" Charles asked. Henry looked a little confused, but he nodded. Charles took a deep breath, then looked at Henry. "You remember the first time we went on a mission together, right?" Charles started, and Henry nodded. "Well, I think that's the most fun I've ever had on a mission before. Ever. You're really the only one who wants to try out my plans! And, your plans are really cool and effective, too. I honestly had so much fun taking out the toppat rocket with you and Ellie, it's just that-" Charles sighed. "I... You're my best friend, a-and..." Charles cut himself off. Henry looked at him with confusion in his eyes. "I... love you..." Charles confessed. He could feel his face turning red. Henry blinked at him a few times. "Bu-But it's okay if you don't like me back..." Charles tried to avoid his gaze. He felt Henry grab him. Charles looked back up at him hopefully. Does he..? Charles thought. Henry moved his hand, grabbed Charles', smiled, and nodded. This was for once in awhile! Henry smiled again! Normally, Henry had always kept the same blank expression and almost never spoke. Either way, Charles was happy. They were dating now, and hopefully, for a good and long while too.
