Spectre: Gotta say, gonna need to do this much often. I might post my future ideas here at the end of the chapter. Without further ado, let's do it.

Chapter 3: Hide in Plain Sight
"So how's that?", Flit asked the audience after they finished the previous universe.
"Mom and Uncle Qrow were awesome!", Ruby cheered out as the rest of her team nodded. Taiyang never thought Summer would be a military type in a different universe but took pride in it nonetheless.
"Their coordination and planning is flawless I'd say", Ozpin pointing. "But I never thought Qrow would be a born leader at this one"
"Although the escaping scene almost gave me a heart attack", Glynda grumbled as Ozpin chuckled.
"Ah! That reminds me", Flit though before he pulled out a CD, giving it to Ironwood. "That will help the new recruits, use it well, General"
"My thanks", Ironwood replied as he took the CD from Flit. "Now Atlas would have someone to look up to"
"Are you still grumpy that I made Captain Ice Queen", Qrow smugly asked Winter who scoffed at him.
"I wouldn't be if you aren't such a drunkard",she retorted as Qrow laughed at her.
"Is there a next screening?, Cinder asked the man.
Flit nodded, "Indeed. We shall begin shortly." With a wave of his hand, the screen flashed before them to see a new universe.
The screen shows an overhead view of a large plaza that is filled with hundreds of people, mostly civillians who have been informed that the King of Atlas, Jacque Schnee will be traveling through the plaza soon, via carriage with his son, Prince Whitley Schnee, Captain-General of the Atlesian Armies.
Winter and Weiss cringed at the thought of their bratty brother to be the General of the army, seeing him as unfit for military duty.
"Since Jacques is a King, does that mean Weiss is a Princess?!", Ruby asked Flit, astonished to the fact that her friend is of royalty this time.
"In a way yes, they are of loyalty at this universe where the King of Atlas died of mysterious causes and Schnee was chosen to take his place, though suspected that he used bribery to gain the throne", Flit explained to them as many of the adults sighed, not expecting anything less from that man whose methods in running the SDC are questionable enough.
"So does that mean Ice Queen here is a princess too?", Qrow asked to Flit, pointing at Winter. The man seemed reluctant to explain what kind of family are they but he had to answer them.
"She was..in fact she also served as Captain-General of the Atlesian Armies", Flit explained to them but Ironwood detected hesitation at his voice.
"What happened Mr. Flit?", he asked just as the man decided to cave in.
"When the Schnee became a royal family, chaos almost immediately occured here. After Winter became Captain General, Whitley was given the position as Prime Minister to the Kingdom, which he served as the King's second-in-command but he was jealous at his elder sister's position where he arranged for her assassination to take her place as Captain General.", Flit explained to them as the Schnee sisters became shocked at this revelation. Most of the audience knew that the Schnee tend to have a complicated family but never thought it would escalate that way.
Ironwood felt like strangling the younger Schnee for what he had done to his valued specialist in this universe, while others had a similar thought.
"Is Weiss alright then?", Ruby asked Flit.
Now the man was very reluctant in explaining what has happened to the younger Schnee here. "She is.. but let us go back to the screen."
Ruby and the rest of her team could feel something is off with her teammate at this universe. Weiss however, would not want to even know what has happened to her here.
From the snowy buildings and advanced technology, James can tell that the plaza is somewhere in Atlas, although he doesn't recognize it."It might be possible that this location is somewhere in Mantle, if it hasn't been destroyed."
A moment later, a fancy carriage can be seen driving through the plaza while being surrounded by both SDC Security and Royal Guards. It's not uncommon to see so much security surrounding King Jacque Schnee and his heir, seeing as the Resistance would go and ambush them at every step of the way.
From inside his expensive and heavily defended carriage with horsemen, the head of the Atlesian Captain-General smirked as he looks out the window, watching as hundreds of people push against his line of security guards to get a word in. The worst of them are the reporters who are trying their best to get a word from him, but failing as he remains seated, waiting for their carriage to drive through the plaza so he can return to their mansion.
As Whitley relishes in the attention, nobody notices a hooded figure standing in the shadows of a building on the outskirts of the crowd. Said figure watches as his target's carriage drives through the path that the royal guards made to separate the crowds of people.
Most wouldn't give the hooded figure much attention, unless they are to recognize the odd white robes she adorns. After all, dozens of corrupt politicians allied with the Schnee have found themselves assassinated by the hands of someone wearing the exact same white robes.
They may also recognize the Assassin to be Ruby Rose.
Mercury perks up when he hears the word Assassin. Being trained (and beaten) by his father to learn the skills of an Assassin, Mercury is curious to see how this universe's version of Ruby works out as an Assassin. From what he can tell after watching the other universes and possible futures, he doubts he'll be disappointed.
"Ruby's an Assassin? pointed out Blake, wondering if there's any pattern to every universe they see.
"Maybe she's a good Assassin?" said Jaune, tilting his head sideways. "She does only kill corrupt officials."
Roman covers his mouth with his hand to hold back his laughter. "Hear that, Neo? Crazy thinks there's such a thing as a good Assassin" he chuckled with Neo silently copying him.
"In this universe, Ruby is a Master Assassin and a Co-Leader of the Brotherhood. Their entire family has its roots of being Assassins for at least a century or more.", Flit explained.
Ruby was silently watching her other self, amazed by her own choice of clothing though she preferred more red than white on her robes.
Ruby isn't the only one who's set on ending the life of Jacque Schnee, but she'll have to disappoint the Resistance, those who wanted him removed, by getting to him first. Being a member of the Brotherhood, Ruby and the rest kills those who are evil and corrupt and Jacque Schnee fits the criteria, like an icing to the cake.
With her eyes set on her target, Ruby steps out of the shadows and walks into the crowd of people who make a path for her when she gets too close to them.
Ruby's presence isn't missed by the royal musketeers that are perched on the rooftops of the buildings surrounding the plaza. One of the several musketeers recognizes Ruby's white robes to be belonging to the same person who has been killing politicians left and right. Figuring out why the woman is here, the Musketeer lifts up his sniper rifle and aims at the Assassin, but just as he's about to pull the trigger, something blocks the sunlight from his eyes. Looking up to see what it is, the sniper widens his eyes before he finds a blade stuck in his throat.
"She's not alone" stated Cinder, watching the proceedings with interest. She's curious on how the Assassin plans to eliminate her target, especially when she's in such a heavily guarded area and its vicinity.
"She must trust her allies a lot if she's willing to step out of hiding. She trusts that they can take down the snipers before they can gun her down" stated Mercury, agreeing with the Assassin's plan. If it was him, he would take out the snipers first, but he isn't exactly sure what the rest of Ruby's plan is. "Show me how you get out of this one.", he thought to the younger Rose.
As Ruby walks through the crowd, two royal guards notice her and move in to stop her. Before they can subdue the Assassin, two arrows come out of nowhere and pierce into both of the guard's chests. As the two guards collapse to the floor, Ruby walks past them and makes her way through the rest of the crowd.
By the time she makes it to the front of the crowd, someone finally manages to recognize her robes and call out for help. The cry catches the attention of two royal guards who are seperating the crowd from the carriage. But, by the time they turn around, Ruby has already walked through the rest of the crowd. Stepping into their personal space, Ruby unsheathes the Hidden Blades that are in her bracers and stabs both guards in the stomach.
Stepping out of the crowd and killing two royal guards brings everyone's attention onto Ruby, including the rest of Jacque and Whitley Schnee's security force.
Two royal guards turn from following the back of Jacque's carriage and raise their halberds down the Assassin. However, Ruby is much faster than them and has already thrown two throwing knives into their chests. The pair collapse to the floor as the rest of Jacque Schnee's security force turns around to face the threat, stopping the carriage in the process.
Mercury grins, finding the performance impressive. He would sure that if he didn't kill his father, the man would be impressed as well at her performance. "She's good. Very good."
"She's a professional, that's for sure" stated James, frowning as he watches the Assassin version of Ruby Rose take out the security guards with ease. Some probably believe that Ruby stepping out of the crowd is arrogant, but Ironwood can tell that it's all part of the plan.
"She used the crowd as cover and took down the security in close range while his compatriots eliminated all the snipers in the area" said Glynda, pushing up her glasses. "As much as I hate to say it, Ms. Rose is a skilled acolyte in this universe."
"We got an soldier Rose, now an Assassin", Taiyang said to Raven, who wondered if there is a universe where she is one herself.
"How's Ruby going to get out of this, Blake?" asked Yang, seeing that Ruby is now in the open at the plaza.
Blake studies the screen, intently. "Her stance indicates that she's confident. She must have a plan prepared for such a situation."
Now in the open, Ruby stops as the rest of Jacque's security force surrounds her, each one pointing their halberds at a vital spot on his body.
Once he's sure that the Assassin is subdued, Whitley Schnee steps out of carriage with an arrogant smirk on his face. "Hehehe, Ruby Rose. It's brave of you to face against me alone, but also quite foolish, Assassin" told Whitley, spreading his arms out to show himself off to the infamous Assassin, believing himself to be safe from all harm.
"Pompous ass", Velvet muttered, not liking his arrogance as did the others present.
"You don't say?", Coco replied.
During Whitley's speech, Ruby hears the sound of an eagle's cry. Looking into the sky, she sees a majestic eagle fly overhead before disappearing in the distance, leaving nothing but a lone feather that she catches with her hand. Ruby looks at the feather in her hand before she looks back up at Whitley. If anyone has been looking closely enough, they would see Ruby's smirking face underneath her hood. All of a sudden, arrows start flying in every direction with each one hitting a royal guard in a vital area. Each of the royal guards collapse with Ruby pushing one away when his body starts falling in her direction.
Whitley's eyes widens at seeing his entire security force taken care of in the matter of seconds. With that, Whitley signaled two horsemen to finish the job where they galloped towards the Assassin. Ruby pulled out her sword as she struck one of the horse's feet, causing the rider to fall from his seat while she masterfully cut down the second rider, with him falling from his sword. It's a good thing he has a back up plan for such an emergency. "Templar Guards!" he yelled.
Ruby calmly watches as a dozen elite Templar Knights adorned with white capes pour out of a nearby building and line up in behind Whitley, each one wielding a halberd while the Prince unsheathed his own sword and glared at his adversary.
Ruby would be in trouble if she's fighting the dozen Templar Knights on her own. She's no slouch when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, but her skills are more suited to enemies made of flesh, not metal. So, it's a good thing she isn't on her own. Stepping out of nearby shadows, four figures in similar robes walk out to stand beside Ruby, each one wielding their own iconic weapon.
To Ruby's right steps out an average figure who has a a sheathed sword with a shield on his left hand. Not much can be seen from his appearance as he's wearing the iconic Assassin hooded robes and has a cowl covering his face. However, he is noticeable with his blond hair underneath the hood
To Ruby's left steps out a tall and thin figure who has a pair of green pistols with sickles-like blades in his hands. Not much can be seen from his appearance as he's wearing the iconic Assassin hooded robes and has a cowl covering his face. However, a noticeable stripe of pink hair can be seen under his hood
On Ruby's left is another female, but she is more noticable because of her raven hair that is hanging out of her hood. Her hands held Gambol Shroud.
Another figure on her right was another female, who wears similar white robes just as her but has distinguishing yellow gauntlets that also stored her Hidden Blades. The woman smirked under her hood while cracking her knuckles and she is also distinguished with her long blond hair.
"Is that... us?" asked Pyrrha, watching as the alternate versions of herself, Jaune, Yang and Blake back Ruby up. The sight of them working together was impressive enough, but them as professional Assassins is much more to be seen.
Smiling, Ruby unsheathes Crescent Rose from her hip and turns towards Whitley. As one, Ruby, Jaune, Ren, Yang and Blake take a step forward before starting a sprint towards the Templar Knights. Jacques glanced at the confrontation with glare. As Whitley and the Templar Knights charged right at them, the Assassins jump into the air with their weapons raised to meet the Atlesian Knights. The screen flashed to white before fading to black.
