Chapter 5: Sweet Revenge
"So is everyone ready?", Flit asked the audience, with some still shedding their tears, particularly Phyrra, from the previous reality of Jaune dying. The Audience also had their break with the meals they had.
"I am", Yang answered as always. The adults nodded in confirmation.
"Will it be another sad one?", Nora asked Flit.
"Apparently no, but this one will be much darker as it seems", Flit replied to her.
"How come?", Jaune asked the man.
"You'll see soon enough", Flit answered and with a flick of his hand, the screen flashed white to an alternate reality.
The screen shows the flag of vale with the name "Pvt. R. Branwen" underneath the emblem.
"It looks like you're the lead this time, Raven", Qrow said to his twin, who huffed at her rank at this universe while her drunkard of a twin brother is a captain in another.
"You're a Captain while I'm a Private. Something's wrong with this universe", Raven muttered out as Qrow snickered at his sister's misfortune.
"It has been, Ms. Branwen", Glynda added as Ironwood and Winter nodded, seeing Raven to have at least the discipline and the commitment of a soldier as a member of the Branwen Tribe while Qrow doesn't have those qualities.
But that doesn't really change of their opinion of him from the universe where Qrow was a captain.
"The rotten cancer of the Faunus Reich ravages Remnant like a plague.", the voice of Taiyang Xiao-Long narrated as Menagerie marked its territories by conquering other neighboring kingdoms into vale.
Ghira and Kali Balledona winced at the sight of Menagerie conquering the kingdoms. The Balledona Patriarch thought of the White Fang before he resigned, thinking if his successor had anything to do with this.
Ozpin and his order were shocked at the destruction that they had brought, thinking if Salem is capable of doing this on sowing fear. The adults covered the eyes of their respective family members, not wanting them to see the horrors of war at an early age.
Salem and Cinder on the other had, were quite impressed on how they spread fear throughout the Kingdoms, prepared to take notes for any tips on how to do so.
"Their relentless drive into our motherland steals the lives of men, women, and children alike.", continued Taiyang as Menagerie bombers shelled what seemed to be Beacon. "The arrogance of their leaders is matched only by the brutality of their soldiers. These are the darkest days of the Faunus occupation of Beacon."
The Faunus members were shocked at their portrayal as conquerors. They would never resort to methods like this, except the radical faction of the White Fang who would employ violence. They would have to wait for an explanation from Flit on how did this happen.
Said man only lowered his head, seeing one of these universes as one of his least favourites.
Private Raven Branwen slowly opened her eyes, gasping for air as she was faced-down in a bloody fountain in the plaza, surrounded by dead and dying Vale soldiers and Huntsmen, with some birds feeding off the flesh of the dead.
"Oh my god", Summer gasped, covering Ruby's eyes as did Winter to Weiss.
Ironwood maintained a stern expression, but internally he was fuming. It was bringing back memories when he was still a young soldier where he had witnessed countless friends and comrades dying on the battlefield, and he'd rather not remember a moment of it at this time.
Salem and Cinder were impressed at the carnage, while Emerald and Mercury felt their insides had been violated.
Many Menagerie soldiers are seen outside of the square's walls. Birds meander around the corpses looking for food, occasionally spooked by the sound of a rifle being shot. Rapid fire bursts from a submachine gun also be heard occasionally, as a tank slowly rumbles past loaded with Menagerie solders. A Faunus soldier stands up on a ledge and sees shoots two dying Vale soldiers.
"Oh no, Raven!", Summer fearfully called out to her teammate.
"I'm going to be fine, Summer. Just relax", Raven replied, bearing confidence as she simply saw herself lay low while her other comrades were trying to crawl away from the soldiers. Inwardly, it brought back memories where her tribe had been attacked numerous times and every death had contributed a decline because of it. She hope that her alternate self would avenge those soldiers beside her, seeing them similar to numerous fellow tribesmen.
The soldier sees the two dying huntsmen besides Raven with a good burst from his submachine gun into each of them before stepping into the fountain and rolling over one dead body with his foot before moving on.
Raven snarled at this callous action. While she does believe in the strong will survive while the weak perish, there is a thing called respecting the fallen, something that she valued to her fallen enemies.
The students and teachers winced at the merciless murder, whereas Salem and Cinder were impressed on how they sow fear and chaos, especially Vale at all places.
Ozpin gripped his coffee mug, clearly disgusted by this act and at the Kingdom where Beacon's Huntsmen resided. He had seen countless wars in his previous lives, but not as bloody as this.
['Vendetta']
[Sept. 17]
[Beacon, Vale]
[Pvt. Raven Branwen]
[62nd Rifle Army]
"What kind of universe is this!?", Ironwood cursed out, not liking the scenery one bit as did most of the students and the adults. "Those soldiers should be tried for war crimes!"
"This world, General Ironwood, is set in a more violent and turbulent period when all of Remnant is at war. Here, the White Fang had engaged in a fanatical struggle of a master race and they intend spread it across Remnant, taking kingdom by kingdom until they had laid siege at Beacon, Vale. Their leader Sienna Khan, instilled the people of Menagerie a philosophy of a master race focused on establishing their superiority and wiping out the undesirables, who are the humans", Flit inquired as the Faunus present were outraged what Sienna Khan had manipulated the White Fang and Menagerie into genocidal tendencies.
Ghira Balledona was fuming at this. "But this is not what the White Fang had stood for! We act only to speak and defend rights! We only wish for equality!", he shouted to Flit, who remained calm at this outburst.
"I know what you feel Mr. Balledona. But allow me to explain further. Despite your efforts, it had been unsuccesful and the people pressured you to appoint Sienna Khan as your Chancellor, with your daughter Blake persuading you to do so, seeing her as the only one who had a solution for the Faunus' problems for the past few years. From then on, Sienna took power in Menagerie and of the Faunus people, promising a new era that would last a millennia with their ideals.", Flit explained to the Faunus who only lowered his head, thinking if him leaving the White Fang turned out to be a terrible idea.
Blake was struck silent at this, thinking if she was responsible for starting this by convincing her father in appointing Sienna Khan in this universe, even if it was just another universe.
Once the Menagerie soldiers leave, Raven continued to crawl below slowly but surely. As she did, she saw a blond man waking up, pretending to be dead as the soldiers left. This man is Sgt. Taiyang Xiao-Long.
"Dad's a zombie!", Yang called out, causing a few others to chuckle.
"You seriously don't believe that do you?", Weiss deadpanned.
"Multiple realities mean multiple possibilities, don't you think?", Blake said to the heiress, who could only nod in response.
"Shhhhh... I need your help", Taiyang spoke as he begins to crawl under the fountain. "Do what I say, and we can avenge this massacre.", he said as he held his rifle. Raven and Taiyang crawl towards an opening in the fountain. As they did, Taiyang slightly grunted in pain as a result of his bandaged hand.
"My injured hand means I can no longer aim. You will do it for me.", Taiyang ordered Raven as she nodded. "Take my rifle and watch the road."
"My trademark weapon!", Ruby cheerily called out to the screen.
Raven remained silent, wanting to see how she fairs during wartime, hoping she could pull it off better than Summer and Qrow.
"It looks a bit primitive don't you think, General?", Winter told her superior.
"Time does not change the nature of weaponry, Specialist Schnee. Their purpose still remains all the same no matter how long it passes", Ironwood replied as he focused on the rifle.
Raven takes Taiyang's Mosin-Nagant Rifle and looked her her scope. Visible outside of the wall are many Menagerie soldiers, one of which is an Officer stepping out of a car before speaking with his driver. As Raven watches from her scope, the Officer is seen explaining some things to his driver, who nods in agreement, before the two head for the front door of the building they parked next to, being saluted by two Menagerie soldiers on sentry duty as they pass.
"The bastard in the car is General Adam Taurus, architect of Beacon's misery. He is responsible for the cold blooded murder of men, women and children... Not just here, but throughout the motherland.", Taiyang explained with grimace as Raven observed the General entering the building.
Blake was shocked at seeing her former lover being a general. She had always seen him being assertive to Faunus supremacy, but she would never imagine him going for the extreme methods such as this reality had shown them.
"For three days I have hunted him. For three days luck alone has saved his wretched life. Sniping your enemy is like hunting any other animal. Fire at the wrong moment and your chance will be forever lost. Patience. If we reveal our position to Taurus's men, this fountain will be our grave. Now, load your rifle, but hold your fire.", Taiyang ordered as Raven loaded her spare ammunation into the rifle.
Ironwood is somehow impressed at his way of thinking but in a way, he slightly contrasted to Qrow back at the second reality they had watched. At this one, Taiyang seemed more of a war dog and a patriot of his homeland while Qrow kept it professional at his methods. The main difference here is that this reality seemed to be outdated unlike the one that had the SAS.
Taurus and his driver have walked into a building and out of view. The sentries who saluted Taurus have now eased their vigilance and are relaxing as they talk with each other, one having taken a chair to sit down in.
"Their loss of vigilance will be their own undoing", Glynda noted at seeing those soldiers relaxed while at the line of fire.
"Indeed, they seem to be more confident and wayforward that they had seen that victory is at their hands", Ozpin said to her.
"Wait until the bombers are directly overhead. The sound of their engines will drown out your shot.", Taiyang said to Raven as she focused her sights at the soldiers talking to one another.
"An effective approach at this one", Wintwr praised Xiao-Long's planning.
The bombers then flew overhead. One with a damaged, flaming engine, flies lower than the others, making the droning of its engines louder than the others.
The students covered their ears as the engines proved to be louder than they thought it would be.
"Ready?", Taiyang asked Raven, who only nodded in response. "SHOOT NOW!"
Raven shoots the first two Menagerie soldiers, one who was sitting down and another taking a smoke with one bullet. "Again!", Taiyang told her where she moved her scope to another two seated Menagerie soldiers chatting with another one bullet before focusing on two more at a wrecked car. One was taken out while the other was taken by surprise. Before he could use his MP40, Raven shot him. "HA!", Taiyang praised.
Soon enough, another Menagerie soldier and a dog came out by the destroyed tank to investigate what happened to the sentries. "Straight ahead!", Taiyang told her.
"Oh no", Ruby gasped. "They're not-"
"Not your average pooch, Red. It needs to go down", Roman interrupted. Though reluctant, the others agreed to his point.
Raven shoots the soldier but she ran out of bullets loaded in the rifle. The dog heads for the fountain where Raven and Taiyang are hiding to attack. "Watch out! The dog!", Taiyang warned but Raven pulled out a knife and slashed the dog's throat.
Ruby covered her eyes as the dog was killed, having been a dog lover through Zwei, and such an image would be enough to traumatize her. Summer embraced her daughter to calm her down.
Raven was impressed on how her alternate self dealt with rifles, being able to use a sniper at quick efficiency and her quick reactions at using her knife. She could hope that she could be better than Summer or Qrow this one.
"Excellent aim! You are a natural hunter.", Taiyang praised Raven who reloaded her rifle. Taiyang picks up a PPsh-41 sub-machine gun to replace his sniper rifle he gave to Raven. "Time to close in for the kill", he declared to her. "This way"
Raven and Taiyang leave the Square. An armored patrol, including a tank, slowly makes its way towards the two, unaware of their existence. "Damn! Armored patrol... We must find another route to Taurus. Stay low, and follow me."
The two moved out as they made their way to a building just as the Menagerie patrol gets nearer at their position. "This way, before they discover their dead.", Taiyang ordered as Raven followed him.
Raven follows Taiyang and entered an empty bar, filled with broken objects and a dead comrade's corpse. "For days I have crept through shadows like a rat. This place once echoed with conversations of friends and lovers. No longer. Mark my words, Comrade... One day things will change. We will take the fight to their land... to their people... to their blood."
"Mr. Xiao-Long seems to be...vengeful at this reality. Not to mention a hunter type that studies its prey", Glynda pointed out.
"He literally saw his comrades being murdered in cold blood, I could see him returning the favour", Ozpin replied.
Taiyang watched the screen in silence. His portrayal is the polar opposite of him but if any of his re-united family members were in danger once again, he will not hesitate to go back in the field again to protect his family.
Raven watched her ex-spouse with admiration somehow. He was more or less of a male-version of her, being vengeful and hateful towards his enemies. She could totally settle at this version of Taiyang if possible.
Taiyang opens the the bar table as he and Raven walked passed through it. "This way. Knowing the routines and movements of your prey tips the balance of a hunt. General Taurus is a creature of habit.", he said as he and Raven left the bar.
"If that were me, I'd take a bottle or two with me", Qrow called out.
The two were at the streets once more as they moved to another building. "He inspects each Menagerie garrison every day. We can use this building to flank his route.", he said to her.
"It's eerily quiet. Where the hell did they go?", Yang asked as the rest of her teammates had a similar thought.
"It would suck if a sniper manages to get a lock on them", Qrow said as the adults who knew him facepalmed.
A sniper shot from a building across the river almost killed Taiyang. "Sniper! Get inside now!", he shouted as he jumps through the building window, breaking its glass, and Raven followed him.
"Way to start the mood, Branwen!", Winter sarcastically said to Qrow, who only chugged his flask in response.
"Bastard almost got me. We'll have to flush him out before we can move on. Follow me.", Taiyang ordered as he goes up the stairs, and Raven followed him.
He observed the surroundings and pointed out where it came from. "The shot came from across the river! There... The building with the banners! Now the game is cat and mouse. I will draw his fire. Keep your eyes open for the flash. Ready? Now!"
On the other side, a certain Faunus sniper takes aim at Raven, who has done the same.
The enemy sniper shoots. His muzzle flash should give Raven his location if the she watched, though if Raven couldn't see, Taiyang will sometimes tell the player his location. "I'm going to draw his fire again, get ready to take him out...", Taiyang ordered her.
"He would risk his life for victory. Admirable but reckless considering the sniper's marksmanship", Cinder commented, surprising those who knew her, as she rarely gave any comments like that.
"Dad/Taiyang...", Summer, Ruby and Yang muttered, fearful of his life even in another reality. Said man remained quiet although he admitted that he didn't to srr himself being shot.
Taiyang then exposed himself to the sniper as Raven took aim at the windows. The Faunus Sniper then saw Taiyang and nearly shot him. "Did you see him? He knows exactly where we are. I cannot risk it again... It's up to you to find him now. Stay out of the light. If he fires, move.", Taiyang instructed to Raven.
Summer was holding her chest, her heartbeat going faster for her squadmates as they faced off against the sniper. Ironwood and Winter assesed on their positions, and they concluded that the chances of the snipers of taking out their targets are at a 50/50 scale.
Ruby and Yang embraced each other in an attempt to calm themselves of what is happening to their relatives.
During the fight, the sniper tries to shoot Raven, but barely missed as she quickly ducked the shots. Taiyang had said three tips to her. "He has you beat. You need to take a different position! He's spotted you, get over to the window! Find another piece of cover!"
Deiciding to take the shot, Raven used her rifle to shoot the sniper but barely missed.
"You just grazed him!", Taiyang berated.
The sniper shoots back as it barely missed Raven by an inch. Said woman shot back at him but again, barely missed.
"You only wounded him!"
Raven aimed what seemed to be the soldier's helmet and his bobbed up and down under a window. Raven shot the helmet but only turned out to be a fake as she cursed at this.
"It was just a decoy! Stay focused.", Taiyang instructed as he continued to observe.
"Easier said than done!", Raven shot back finally.
Everyone didn't bother saying a word. They had watched some films that featured stand offs like this or at their own personal experience, but not as intense as this since a small mistake could lead to disaster at this point. Ozpin's coffee mug was shaking as he watched the scene, Ironwood and Winter were sweating bullets due to the intensity, Summer had tried in vain to calm herself down from the adrenaline of the situation, while Raven was literally biting her fingernails, silently cursing her other self to take the shot.
The two combatants decided that it was finally time to end this. Both came out of their hiding spots and pointed their rifles towards the other. Both shoot at the same time, but this time, Raven landed a headshot to the sniper, while his bullet only grazed her arm. "Good hunting. The patrols will surely have heard those shots. We need to get moving.", Taiyang said as they moved out.
Everyone breathed out in relief, the confrontation being intense. Summer imagined a cold bottled water in her mind and it appeared before her, taking one quick gulp of it. Raven and Taiyang didn't even bother doing the same.
Raven follows Taiyang through a door and down a set of stairs. A Menagerie patrol is visible through some windows, including a half-track and Panzer IV, and Taiyang hides behind a grandfather clock. "Shhhh... Menagerie patrol. Let them pass...", Taiyang instructed as he and Raven moved out of view.
The grandfather clock chimes, and a soldier walks over to a window of the building the duo is in to inspect the sound and sees them. His dog leaps at the window and barks as well to alert the rest of the patrol to having found living Vale soldiers. "They have found us! We need to leave now! Hit the floor!!!", Taiyang shouted as he and Raven go prone, and crawl their way through a hallway. Flamethrowers burst through the windows.
"Is it just me, or this universe have a problem with dogs?", Roman asked though no one answered.
"They are trying to burn us out! Stay low, try not to breathe!", Taiyang said just as they managed to escape the line of fire (No pun intended). Taiyang and Raven stand up, and Taiyang runs throughout the building looking for an exit. A book case falls and almost crushed Raven had it not landed on a table. Menagerie appear at the windows to try and shoot Raven and let the flames finish them off before they can escape.
"They are surrounding the building! We must hurry! Move! Upstairs! Quickly! Before we are burned alive!", Taiyang ordered as Raven follows him up a flight of stairs to escape. While running, a flaming beam breaks apart and then it falls on top of Raven. Raven tries to lift it up by herself but it burns her right hand. Taiyang comes back and removes the beam. "Here my friend... Take my hand. I need you alive. We need to find a way out!"
"Never leave a man behind", Ironwood quoted an old military saying, and the adults nodded at this.
"This is what war is...", Ruby said after seeing their methods just to defeat the enemy.
Raven and Taiyang ran through the building as heavy machine gun fire tears through the walls. "Armored car outside! Keep moving before it tears us apart!", he warned as they continued to run before they saw a giant opening towards them. "Jump!... GO!"
Raven jumps out of the building, and then looks back up at the window they jumped from and see Taiyang about to jump, but goes flying out the window because of an explosion. Taiyang is lying injured on the ground as Menagerie soldiers come running down the street. "Hunstmen!", a Menagerie soldier called out. Taiyang reaches for his weapon, but a Menagerie soldier kicks it out of his hand.
"Bring on the flamethrower, burn these Human pigs!", a Menagerie soldier called out as one pulled out the said weapon.
Ghira growled at their act. Sure racism was one thing they despised but that does not mean they should do the same.
The Rose-Xiaolong family were again frightened at this point, seeing their two family members defenseless and at the mercy of their enemies.
Out of nowhere, the Menagerie soldiers were gunned down by automatic gunfire, and Vale soldiers came to the aid of Taiyang and Raven's aid.
"Finally, some backup!", Yang called out in relief.
"And in a nick of time", Weiss replied.
The soldiers went to them as their leader, Peter Port called to them. "Raven? We thought you were among the dead in the massacre at the square!"
"She was. Among them, but not one of them.", Taiyang answered them.
"Smartass..", Qrow muttered.
"We're about to assault the communication post north of here...", Port explained but was cut off by Taiyang who saw an opportunity.
"Good. Such a move will prevent the Menagerie command calling for help. Raven and I will provide cover from above... Wait til you hear the screams of dying Faunus. Raven... This way... Up the ladder.", Taiyang instructed as he and Raven climb a ladder, head down a fire escape, and enter another building.
"This way, Comrades... Take positions, and wait for the signal...", Port instructed as his men complied. Meanwhile, Raven and Taiyang went to an open window where the woman took aim at her rifle to initiate the attack but Taiyang stopped her. "Hold your fire. Do you see the flamethrowers? You must choose your moment. Exploding the fuel tank will incinerate anyone standing nearby.", he suggested.
"This version of Taiyang seemed...brutal", Glynda noted. as Ozpin nodded in agreement, knowing him to be a quiet and determined man rather than a war dog at this one.
Cinder smiled at Xiao-Long's suggestion, seeing people suffering a fiery death brings a smile at her face.
"This is why I am always adamant to reject the choice of flamethrowers", Ironwood said, with him receiving suggestions to develop such weapons but rejected them due to it being accident-prone.
Raven waited for a while, gasping for small amounts of breath as she focused at her shot. As the flamethrower neared three soldiers, that is when she saw an opportunity and she shot the fuel tank, exploding it as the soldiers are being burned to death.
Team RWBY and JNPR were sickened at this and were covering their eyes from the scene while Cinder smile in approval.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Excellent aim, Raven! Give covering fire to our comrades below!", Taiyang instructed as Raven shot another fuel tank of a flamethrower before focusing on the soldiers on the balcony, until a Menagerie soldier mans the MG in the window opposite of the duo's position. "MG in the second floor window!", Taiyang called out as she shot th gunner dead.
On the balcony closest to them, Menagerie soldiers enter and begin firing at the duo. "Menagerie reinforcements! Moving on to the left balcony! Keep firing!", Taiyang called out as he opened fire at the soldiers. Raven then picked up an MP40 and shot the soldiers, including another dog that chaser after them. Soon enough, Taiyang noticed Menagerie soldiers enter the high balcony. "More! On the high balcony!", he called out. Once they had been eliminated, Port saw their chance and rallied his soldiers.
"They are retreating! Forward!!! Ura!!!", Port ordered as they charged towards the command post.
"That kind of tactic is very reckless, especially if they do not know what they are up against", Glynda criticized at Port's move. Ironwood nodded at this, seeing this tactic numerous times but were rarely successful.
"Our friends are moving up. We must do the same! Up the stairs, quickly.", Taiyang ordered to Raven as they move up until Taiyang and Raven reached a balcony overlooking a new street. This new balcony is attacked by Menagerie soldiers. "More infantry! Cut them down!"
Raven and Taiyang fired again, clearing the balcony of Menagerie soldiers. "Keep firing! Our friends below need cover!", Taiyang ordered as Raven sees an unmanned MG42 and subsequently mounted it. "Rip those vermin to shreds!"
Raven complied as she rained hell to the Menagerie defenders, cutting them down one by one until no one was left alive outside. Port and his soldiers advanced to the buulding
"Charge!!!", Port shouted to his men but q Menagerie half-track appeared as its gunner took down several advancing Vale soldiers.
"Now you know why they should never employ tactics like this", Ironwood nonchalantly said.
"Halftrack! Take out its machine gun!", Taiyang ordered as Raven quickly took care of it and Port's squad proceeds to clear the communication post. "Our comrades are clearing the building! Watch your fire!"
After a few minutes, Port's squad managed to capture the communication post. "They have taken the communication post. Taurus will try to run. Quickly! We must cut off his escape route!", Taiyang ordered as he and Raven move throughout the building they are in, encountering Menagerie resistance along the way but were dispatched quickly. "Follow me! I know a perfect sniping position!"
Raven and Taiyang reach the sniping position through an open window. But as they did, they saw Port's squad engaging the Menagerie soldiers but were faring poorly due to the current equipment they had. Port himself was gunned down by a half-track "Hold fire! We are too close to our goal to reveal our position. There is nothing we can do for our comrades... Their sacrifice will not go unavenged... The death of General Taurus will be just the beginning... Look ahead... The building adorned with flags is the Menagerie command post... General Taurus will soon be in our sights. The sounds of battle will flush him out."
Ozpin, Glynda and Ironwood lowered their heads in respect to Port's death at this reality. Though boisterous and sometimes boring to be with, Port is still a good person to be with. The students likewise felt the same.
The duo continued to observe the battle until they saw Taurus and his guards exit the communication post. "Coward! There he is! Damn! He is not alone! Put a bullet in his bodyguard's head! The asshole is using the destroyed tank for cover!", Taiyang instructed them. Raven shoots her target but her bullet narrowly missed him. "You just grazed him!"
The woman inwardly cursed where Taurus hides behind a destroyed tank while his forces fought her allies. "Taurus is hiding behind the destroyed tank! He is on the move!"
"Come on, mom! Put a bullet on his head!", Yang cheered her mother on the screen. Raven glanced at her before returning her attention to the reality.
Taurus continued to run just as he managed to get into a car. "He's getting into that car!", he called out but just as they were about to drive off, Raven delivered a clean bullet on his head. And Taiyang rejoiced at this.
"Aww yeah! You got him mom!", Yang complimented as the students cheered.
Blake winced at his death, but has come to accept that he was far too gone in their reality and to others.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! You are a true marksman, Raven!", Taiyang praised to her but their celebration was cut short when an explosion knocked them off balance. The Panzer IV that had been attacking Port and his men had spotted Raven and Taiyang and fired on their position. "They will be coming for us! We must go!"
"With that amount of firepower, they needed to run fast", Qrow noted.
"Come on, dad! You can do this!", Yang and Ruby called out to the screen.
"It won't be easy though", said Weiss.
Both Taiyang and the Raven start running along the hallways to the exit "Quickly! Before their tanks fire again!" Raven and Taiyang reach a flight of stairs and meet a large group of Menagerie soldiers. Taiyang starts firing his PPSh-4 and kills all the Menagerie soldiers. "DIE! You scum sucking animals!!! RRAAAAGH!!!"
"Dad really is a war freak at this one", Ruby said to her sister.
The Faunus present winced at the man calling them animals since that was a common insult to them, but to what they did at this universe was uncalled for.
All the soldiers die and another explosion rocks the building as Taiyang and Raven continue running as the Panzers continue to fire on the structure. They eventually reach an opening in the wall overlooking a river. "Into the river, Raven! It is our only chance! GO!!!"
The two jumped at the river and the screen fades to black soon after.

I thank you for your support, R and R if possible. I have plenty of ideas to support.
