The next chapter is up! We left off with Frieza and Lily being left on what they now know is this unfamiliar dimension's earth. Here they have a run in with the sorcerer. Who gives them disturbing news. With Frieza now powerless and their lives on the line. They need to learn to rely on one another...which for them is easier said then done. Enjoy :)

They found their way back to the lake. Even though it appeared huge it must run off into a river somewhere. There's no guarantee it may even lead out to a river or stream. But Lily figures that's the only option. She believes, if they found a river they can follow it. Odds are there is a town or possibly a residence by the river that can direct them to the nearest town. Getting a better look at his injuries, it was clear Frieza needed medical attention. She really wish she could have held on tighter to her bag. But unfortunately, it came off while she was being thrown around in the vortex.

"That's your plan? Follow a river and hope there's a town somewhere nearby?" He asked.

"Do you have a better idea, your Highness?" She retorts back.

"I'm certain that when I was falling before. I saw an establishment in a clearing southeast beyond the forest. Unfortunately, this means we'd have to go back through the thicket to get there. And I will only tolerate your sassy mouth to a very short extent. Do not anger me girl. I maybe injured and I cannot kill you...yet. But that doesn't mean I won't break any of your bones along this journey." He threatened.

Lily snorts. "And your in no position to threaten me. If your so certain there's a town out that way. Then I won't hesitate to leave your pale bony ass out here. You can sit here and just cross your fingers someone from town may hike out here and find you."

He just gives her death glare which morphs into a creepy smile. "Your going to be so much fun to play with when we get back to our universe, Little One."

She grimaces at both what he meant and the new pet name he gave her. "First off that was extremely creepy, stay the fuck away from me. Second, don't call me that because when it all comes down to it, your around the same size as me." She sighs while raking her fingers through her hair. "You know what, this is not getting us anywhere. We should just keep moving while there's still light. So are you ready to go? Or you want to stay sprawled out on the beach like a pale scaled corpse a little longer?"

'Oh yes, he was definitely going to make her suffer once he regained his powers and they got back.' "Let's just get going, and please...do shut up." He said.

So she bends down and he wraps an arm around her shoulder, to steady himself as she hauls him back up. He let's out a pained groan with the movement but tries to shrug it off as they start making their way back through the woods.

"Do you recall which way it was? Where should we go from here?" He asked.

"It was a few miles off that way. So make a left and go from there." She said.

Certainly wasn't going to be an easy stroll through the woods. Lots of rocks and overturn tree stumps they had to climb over. They weren't a half an hour in, when Frieza started getting weaker and more tired from his wounds. She tried to coax him to stop and rest a couple times but he vehemently refused and wanted to keep going.

She didn't notice at first, but one of his lacerations were deeper than she originally thought. Even though the blood flow slowed down considerably. It still hasn't completely stopped. She was really starting to worry when his steps were becoming more sluggish and clumsy. A few times, he nearly fell and she almost went down with him.

After another fifteen minutes of stumbling. Lily heard a rumbling sound, that sounded like it was getting louder and closer. She also heard what sounded like...music?

"Hey! Hello?! We're over here and need some help!" She shouted.

"What are you doing?" He hissed.

"What's it look like? I'm getting help...Yes, Hello?! Over here!" She shouted again.

Whoever it was, must've heard her because it sounded like they were even closer to their position now. Within moments, something big came crashing through the dead branches and came to a stop about twelve feet away. Whatever the thing was, it had no wheels and yet; looked like some type of motor vehicle. The closest she can guess is, it looked like a large Humvee without a roof and seem to hover.

A young man who looked to be in his early to mid thirties was in the driver's seat. "Hey, what the devil you two doing the way out here? You get lost or something? Because this ain't the safest place to take an evening stroll."

Well, he seemed decent enough. At this point, they could take any help they could get.

"Yes, we are lost. We need to get to the town in that clearing, a few miles down the way. He needs medical attention." She said.

Frieza glares at her. "I don't need medical attention. I just need some rest."

"This is not the time for this and you clearly need help." Lily argued.

"You don't even know why that man is out here. You want to go trusting some random stranger we just came across?" Frieza argued back.

"If you must know princess, I make daily rounds out here all the time. You'd be surprised by some of the discarded or lost stuff we come about out here that can be salvageable. So far today, found some mini gas tanks and some hover cables. I also happen to come across this small cinch sack here." He held up a small but very recognizable purple canvas cinch sack bag.

"Wait, that's mine. Where did you find it?" She asked.

He looked at her then back at the bag. "I found it about a couple miles south of here near Headless Canyon. You sure this is yours? Could be anyone's Miss."

"Give it to me and I'll show you." She stated.

He gave her a skeptical look, but humored her and let her have it. She took the bag and looked through it's contents. A half full stainless steel water bottle, a book on marine mammals, her iphone, head phones, and lastly her wallet. Both her state and school assistant I.D. were still there. She took out her State I.D. that consist of her name and picture. Then showed it to the man as proof. He gave it a good look and handed it back to her.

"Okay, I can clearly see it's your bag. But what was it doing all the way down by the canyon? When your all the way up here? Unless you came from that direction yourselves. In which, your either crazy or suicidal. No one ever goes down to that canyon. Most people who do, don't come back." He said.

She opened then close her mouth giving a very good impression of a fish out of water.

"What we're doing out here, is none of your concern. As the young lady stated, we are indeed lost. In turn, we had no recollection of this canyon you so eloquently speak of." Replied Frieza.

"Okay, whatever you say man. While I'm here, I might as well give you a ride to Elysium. Since that's where your headed. Plus, it will be dark soon. If you two 'Love Birds' plan on being out here past dark. Then I'm going to assume you two really are suicidal." He retorted.

Frieza had enough of this lippy stranger and opened his mouth to say something, when Lily cut him off. "We'll take the ride. Thank You, but I must ask. What is so dangerous out here that you keep warning us about? What happens after dark?"

The man just looked at her like she'd grown an extra head. "Are you serious or are you joking? Or maybe just flat out delirious."

Lily was slowly losing her patience with all these riddles and secrecy. " If it makes you feel any better, all three of the above. Now tell us what it is your so worried about. Why shouldn't we be out here, especially in the dark?"

He gave her a grim look. "Miss, everyone knows this world come nightfall becomes riddled with demons. That's why no one ever comes out here. If they do, it's during day hours when it's safer. Because if anyone was caught out here at night. Well, odds are you will be dead before the early morning hours. Also barely recognizable, seeing as the demons love to mutilate their victims."

Lily was in complete disbelief. Demons? As in malevolent beings straight from hell? He can't be serious. They don't exist, only people back home that believed in such creatures were the really religious people...like her grandmother. She at first thought he may have been joking with her. But the serious look on his face say's otherwise. Plus, every crazy thing that has happened to her so far. Getting transported to the DBZ World. Then getting thrown into this world, made her a believer in just about anything at this point.

"We Thank You, for the lovely fairy tale. But we will need your assistance no longer." Said Frieza.

"What? What are you talking about? We need to get to town and he offered to take us." Lily said.

"We can get there ourselves, don't need anymore help." Frieza told her.

She couldn't believe what he was saying. "Have you really lost it? Did you not here what he said? Your actually willing to stay the night in this place? And what of you? You could barely walk at this point!"

"I said I'll be fine. I just need some rest." He said, through clenched teeth.

"Well Dude, what more can I say then. It's your funeral. Though if you insist." He went through a large sack in the front passenger seat.

He pulled a couple items out and tossed them to Lily. The first and biggest of the two items, looked like some type of high tech rifle. The second item, was much smaller. It looked like some kind of fancy digital bracelet. "If you change your mind, speak into that communicator. Someone will answer and come and get you."

She looked up, gave him a smile, and thanked him. Then put it on her left wrist.

"You sure you won't change your mind, Doll Face? This really is no place for any humans or aliens after dark. The weapon I gave you, will slow them down to an extent. It won't kill them though. They cannot be killed by mortal beings or their weapons." He informed them.

Before she could answer, Frieza spoke. "If your quite finished, then I do believe we're done here. Now Leave."

All she could do was give him a dirty look and give the man an apologetic one. "We'll be fine. You said so yourself. If we run into trouble or change our minds, we will contact you."

He gave her a nod. "Alright then, best of luck to you Doll Face. The name is Carter, by the way."

"I'm Lily, and thanks again." He gave her another nod. Before turning around and headed back in the same direction he came.

She turned to Frieza. "You really need to work on your manners and social skills. The man was only trying to help and all you can do is act like a total douchebag to him."

"How many times do I need to tell you? We don't need help. Problem is, you really are too trusting. For all you knew, he was a fugitive or trafficker. And you wanted him to take us with him? You really are foolish and naive, Little One." He scolded her.

She glared at him. 'I was going to give it to him. But now, I don't think he deserves it.' By 'it' she meant one of the two sensu beans she had stored away in the small side pouch in her sack. Goku still had a handful of them on him. So he gave two to Lily in case of emergencies. She gave him a once over and accessed his condition again. 'No, she had to do it. Demons or not, he may not last the night without it.'

She begrudgingly went into her pouch and fished out a bean. She gave it one last look before holding it out for him to take. "Here, if we're going to play camp out here. Tonight your going to need this to get better."

He looked down at the small bean in her hand and took it. "What's this, is it one of those wonder drugs? The ones I saw those monkeys take to restore their strength during one of our last battles?"

"A sensu bean yes, just take it and you will heal from these injuries." She said.

He gave her one last look, before downing it. Within moments he felt an odd sensation. Then the pain slowly ebbed away, the lacerations and scratches closed up.

Wonder what's going to happen next. Now that Frieza's healed. But should it really be him Lily needs to worry about or what lurks in these woods when the sun goes down? Find out in the next chapter. Until next time ;)
