Hey guys! I know it's been forever since I've posted last, and if anyone is actually following this story, just know that I have 53 pages of this stuff typed up on Google Docs. You guys know how editing is. The next chapter is NOT for the faint of heart. This one's ok tho. Enjoy! :)

When they pulled in outside of the brick building, Jughead tried to just disappear, slinking out of the car. But Betty grabbed his wrist and dragged him all the way to the Blue and Gold office where she shoved him into his chair and would not let him leave. She knew that there would be a scared glint in her eye and she knew that he could see it.

"Promise me," she rasped "promise you'll be okay. No punching walls or anything like that." He avoided her, eyes on the floor. She grabbed his shoulders and shook him once. He looked up at her in surprise, eyes wide. "Promise. Me." She punctuated each syllable, not caring if she had to scare the crap out of him in order for him to listen. "Promise." He breathed out and mumbled a promise back. She pulled him up and wrapped her arms around his frame. "You really scared me Juggie… we are going to have to talk about this, but just not right now. I'll see you after practice."

Betty turned on her heel and rushed out the door, her sweet scent following her out. Jughead fell back into the rolly chair, head back, defeated. He ran his good hand through his hair, pulling off the beanie then putting it back on immediately. Sighing, he pulled out his phone and sent a text to two of his other friends, asking them to do him a favor. Not ten minutes later, the low grumble of a bike could be heard through the window. Jughead hopped up and went out the front door, his eyes immediately finding the tall boy and short girl next to two motorbikes. He stomped down the stairs, heading in their direction.

"Wow boss what did you do to your hand?" The boy tossed him a leather jacket which he caught.

"I punched a wall and broke my knuckle. Ok, Sweet Pea? No more questions please." Sweet Pea held up his hands but a smirk crossed his face. "Okay…" With a heavy sigh, Jughead slung on his jacket and helmet, pressing a finger to the crown, like he always did. The girl just flipped her pink hair and climbed on the other motorcycle.

"Sweet, if you don't hurry up, you will be riding on the back." That made Sweet Pea spin automatically.

"Not fair Toni." They kept arguing playfully, but Jughead tuned them out. He climbed on his bike, and started it, relishing the roar that was emitted. Not waiting for the others, he revved the engine and sped out of the school lot.

When Betty was done with practice, Jughead was gone. He wasn't anywhere on the campus so she just assumed that he went back to Archie's. But when she got home, only Mr. Andrews answered the door saying that he hadn't seen either of the boys. As she climbed the stairs to her room, she pulled out her phone. No texts from Jughead. She sent him a message and started on her homework. Ten minutes later, he hadn't answered. She sent him another. No response. She waited for another ten minutes before calling him. After just two rings it cut to the message box. He had declined her call! Betty sighed. Why was he avoiding her? Why not just send her a simple text saying that he didn't want to talk?

She tried again and again, but each time it just rang out. He had put his phone on silent. It had been two hours since her first message to him. She groaned and gave up on homework. Betty grabbed a flashlight and her coat before locking her door and heading to the South Side, glad that her parents were on a few day trip. The streets were dark on the way to the trailer park. The wind ran fingers down her spine and made her shiver. Her pink coat and pastel skirt were making her stick out like a soar thumb. It was not long until she got lost. Fear starting to settle in, she pulled out her phone and called Jughead again. When it rang out, she left a message. "Hey Jughead, you haven't answered any of my calls or anything so I'm coming to find you. But… I might have gotten lost. Do you think you can help? I just want to talk Juggie. Bye." She slipped her phone back into her pocket with a sigh. But she hadn't taken more than one step before a hand caught her wrist and a cloth was pressed to her mouth. She tried to fight it, but her vision became hazy and darkness took over.
