Preface: Hello! This story right here is the first sub-story that will follow the format of the rest. This one will serve as a side-story to Spacehog from Mobius III: Chaos Haven II, showing what Kirby was up to prior to his proper arrival into the story. It'll also introduce a new series to the universe: Unikitty!
This one's not changed a whole lot from the original Google Drive version, since it's not that major and is mostly for world-building rather than advancing the plot. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this look into the a new portion of what I call "the Chaosverse!"
UNIKIRBY!
Now: A new side-story of the Chaosverse begins! After his latest adventure, Kirby, the loveable, pink, roly-poly little hero, has been taking things easy, as life in Dream Land is normally. But now he has a new curiosity: can he go into other dimensions on his Warp Star? He quickly finds out as he makes his way towards "A Whole New World!"
Chapter 1:
A Whole New World
[Character Selected: Kirby]
[Current World: Planet Popstar]
[Current Location: Dream Land, Vegetable Valley]
[BGM: Jun Ishikawa - Welcome to Dream Land]
The sun rose on another bright day in Dream Land. The birds were crowing, the Waddle Dees were marching, and the Dream Landers were just beginning to wake up. One of these Dream Landers was Kirby.
Kirby is one of the puffball spirits that inhabits Dream Land. Puffball spirits are born whenever an interdimensional deity is purified. If they were to spend life in a tragic location, they would eventually turn back into the deity and flee to another dimension. Fortunately, this happens very rarely, and many puffball spirits live in Dream Land, where they live a peaceful life. They usually had two names. Their spirit names were a two-letter word repeated three times. The other was their Dream Land name, and was more normal. Popopo was the spirit name that Kirby had, although he rarely went by it. The spirits are simply balls with stubby arms and somewhat large toeless feet that are usually a darker shade of their body color. Kirby's body is pink, and his feet are magenta.
Anyways, it was another normal day for him. He stayed in bed until the last few bits of his dream faded away. When he woke up, he began to fix himself some breakfast. As the spirits had bottomless stomachs, Kirby could eat as little or as much as he wished. His breakfast today was a large pile of fruit found across Dream Land. He was feeling extra hungry today, so he also made himself some pancakes. After this, he went outside to play with some of his friends. Puffball spirits were very carefree and mostly just played around until lunchtime. After that was the traditional after-lunch nap done across Dream Land. The Fountain of Dreams fueled everyone's dreams, so they were always good, so long the fountain wasn't disrupted. After waking up from his nap, Kirby played with his friends a little more, before going back inside for dinner, which consisted mostly of vegetables. Satisfied, he headed off to bed.
Most people are curious about how these spirits are able to live without doing anything productive. Many scientists are so stumped, they just assume it's part of their DNA.
Kirby enjoyed his life so much, he would do anything to keep it going, not just for him, not just for the spirits, but for all of Dream Land, and by extension, all of his planet called Planet Popstar. He has defended it from many evil forces in the past.

The next day, however, he was feeling a bit curious about something. Recently, he had teamed up with his interdimensional friends to defeat a Lord of Light. Kirby had survived a large onslaught by using his magical Warp Star to blink himself out of reality temporarily. Today, he wondered if he could do anything while he was in hyperspace.
He stood on a hill overlooking the main village, Cappy Town, where most of his non-puffball friends lived. "Time to see if I can break the dimensional barrier on my own!" he said. As he recalled, he had to reach a speed of 88 MPH to blink out. He hopped on his Warp Star and took to the skies, before looking at the speedometer he had on him. 80 MPH...81…83…84…85…
Then, it began to slow up. Kirby began to keep pushing on his Warp Star. The blinking sound that it made began to stay the same pitch. 86…87…88!
[Location Change: Interdimensional Tunnel]
When it reached this speed, Kirby and the Warp Star vanished in an explosion of stars. They had entered what appeared to be an endless bright tunnel made of light. "Okay, so far so good," he thought to himself. "Let's just keep going for a bit."
As he traveled through this tunnel for a while, he began to slowly point his Warp Star upward. He got closer to some kind of 'ceiling' of the tunnel, before...
[World Change: Lego Planet U]
[Location Change: Skies Above Unikingdom]
POP! Kirby burst through the tunnel and into a much stranger world than he ever could have imagined.
At first, it didn't look like anything happened. He was still in the sky, cloudy as ever. But the clouds looked a little more cartoony than usual. And yet, at the same time, they looked like toy building blocks. Kirby began to wonder where on Popstar he was. He carefully tilted his Warp Star downwards.
He always forgot how delicate Warp Stars were when it came to dropping. He suddenly rocketed downwards, finally hitting the ground. He bounced off of the impact area and landed face first, just like he always did. The Warp Star had broken and would need to be recharged before Kirby could use it again.
[BGM: Mark Mothersbaugh - Cloud Cuckooland and Ben the Spaceman]
As he regained consciousness, Kirby began to realize the ground felt like he was lying on top of a bed of Legos, facing upward. Compared to the ground of Patch Land, which felt like pants, it hurt badly! And yet, when he opened his eyes, he saw the ground was smooth! And the Lego feeling had disappeared. He got to his feet and looked upward. In front of him was what looked like an even more cheerful-looking town than Dream Land. Actually, it might not be a town, but a whole kingdom! The biggest structure was some sort of statue of what looked like a cat with a unicorn horn.
"Something tells me I'm not on Planet Popstar anymore!" Kirby said to himself. "I might as well search for someone that can tell me where I am while my Warp Star charges."
Kirby began to walk into the kingdom. As he did, he felt the usual spring breeze that tended to signify him setting out to save Dream Land.
"Hmm, that's odd. I wonder what's gonna happen…"
To be continued...and next time: meeting the gang!
Next chapter: The whole Unikitty gang is here, but they have some "Unusual Introductions!" As he keeps exploring the Unikingdom, Kirby realizes that this world might be a bit weirder than he expected! But it doesn't look like everyone will introduce themselves in a normal way...
Postface: As you can see, this chapter is quite short. This story in general isn't gonna be that long altogether, but I hope it still tells a good story. That's a bit of a ball I have my eye on: don't focus on length - focus on storytelling.
Trivia time! I incorporated some of my idea for Kirby lore with the idea that the finale of Kirby: Star Allies' true final boss gave a lot of people (Spoliers for those who hadn't played it!): Kirby is a spirit born from the defeat of the evil deity Void Termina, and because of his carefree life, he won't go down the path of evil Void Termina went down. The first half or so of this story is replicated from the first chapter of The Dream Land Story by GameTrekker, including the idea of Kirby's 'true' name being his original development name, Popopo. Lastly, the idea of the Warp Star traveling between space is taken from the intro of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's World of Light mode, where Kirby used it to temporarily vanish from reality. As you can see, I also added a Back to the Future nod!
That should be it! Please read, review, and share around, and I'll see you next time where the Unikitty gang make their debut! Stay diamond, everyone!
