When we left off, it's been a pretty smooth ride for Frieza and Lily. Minus him walking in on her bathing. Unfortunately their lucky streak will be coming to an abrupt end soon. Enjoy :)

They have been traveling for...what a couple months now? At least things aren't as tense between them anymore. Though this doesn't mean she's completely relaxed around him and keeps reminding herself he is still very dangerous. Lily's still wondering when her luck will truly run out and he ends up hurting her one of these days. It was not that long ago his moods were just as unpredictable as the Summer weather. But as of late, he's been rather pleasant towards her. Whether they reached a mutual agreement or he's finally learning just to tolerate her for the time being until they reach the Sacred Area.

The temperatures were still hot during the day. With it only dropping a few degrees during the night. Speaking of the night. It seems like this past week they have been having some more frequent encounters with demons. It was to the point they couldn't stop anywhere and had to drive yet again through the night. Luckily she still had the mixed root sleep aide Nora gave her.

She underestimated how well it really works. Normally she could never fall asleep in a moving vehicle. But when she took it it still managed to put her out and was able to keep her out for the ride. She always awoke when the morning sun peaked over the horizon and shined into her face.

It was around 9pm when they came upon what appeared to be some old water plant. Frieza decided to pull into the vacant plant for shelter. Plus, these many sleepless nights were getting to him and he found himself growing weary. They pulled into an old garage and shut the door. Then found another door in the garage that lead them into the plant. It was huge and dark in here. They will have to find a dry spot and make a small fire. They walked on a little further and found a comfortable corner to settle in.

She found some dried up dead leaves, a small weathered dead log, and some old papers and an old empty metal drum. She tossed in the leaves, papers, than the log. Then took out a lighter lit a crumpled up piece of paper and threw it in. It took a few minutes but eventually the fire grew big enough to light up the area.

"There's something I'd like to know?" Frieza asked.

She turned when she heard him speak. "What is it?"

"I noticed when we had trouble with those bandits you were able to fight some of them off. Might I inquire that you had some sort of training?" He asked.

She sat in front of him with her legs crossed. "I did kickboxing for four years. Afterwards I kept up with it from time to time when I could. Then I became acquainted with Whis and Lord Beerus through Goku and Vegeta. Whenever he had the chance, Whis would train me. Though I should've known his training would be intense. By the end of the sessions I could hardly move."

She let out a laugh. "I even had brief sparring sessions with Goku. I thought for sure this could only end badly for me. Just when I thought for sure this meant broken bones for me. He surprisingly moved at a very slow pace I could follow. Plus, he was gentle and patient. Between him and Whis, I learned some pretty effective moves for throwing off and stunning opponents."

He doesn't know why but it irked him when she mentioned training with his most hated foe. He stood up. "Let's see how effective your training truly is."

She quirked a brow. "What? Now?"

"No, next year. Of course now, Little One." He said with sarcasm.

She didn't like this one bit. Goku and Whis might've taken it easy on her. Hell, even Lord Beerus knew his limits with her. But Frieza, something tells me she will not like being a sparring partner to him. Especially when she knows he beat his previous sparring partners to a bloody pulp.

"Don't think this is a good idea." Lily said, out of caution.

"Don't tell me your afraid." He taunted.

"I'd be stupid if I weren't a little afraid. I've seen how brutal you can be." She told him.

He crouched into fighting position. "Rest assure, Little One. I won't hurt you...too bad."

Before she could say anything he threw a right hook to her face. She ducked and barely missed it. She jumped back and got into her own defensive position. She clenched her fists closed so hard as to not show him how much she was shaking. Then came up with a roundhouse kick to his ribs. He blocked and shoved her leg away throwing her off balance. Then pushed her to the ground before she could compose herself.

"Are you even trying?" He asked.

Lily hooked her leg behind his to throw him off balance. When he was low enough, she used her other leg and kicked him in the stomach. He let out a slight whoosh of air, before grabbing her leg and tossing her to the side. She landed on her side. Then after a moment, forced herself back up. Only to be tripped up by his tail landing on her back yet again.

He squatted down in front of her. "I must say, Little One. Your quite slow."

As soon as he got those words out. Lily pulled a 'black widow' move and wrapped her thighs around the sides of his neck. Then used her hips to force him to the ground. 'Slow, Huh?' She started squeezing her legs together applying pressure. He was not expecting her to turn the tables like this. At first he struggled. Frieza then got a good grip on her thighs. He slowly started prying them apart. No matter how hard Lily tried keeping her grip tight. It became to much for her and he was able to escape. She stood only to get an elbow to the gut.

Even though she knew he held back considerably as to not do too much damage. It didn't mean it didn't hurt like hell. She grasped her middle with a sharp gasp. "Had enough yet?"

She was still hunched over grasping her stomach. He moved closer, big mistake. As soon as he was in range she put all her strength and weight into an upper cut to his chin. It was enough to snap his head back a bit. Unfortunately it made her knuckles throb. He brought his head back and was surprised to see blood at the corner of his mouth. He wiped it away and smiled.

"My aren't you the little spitfire." Frieza purred.

Her eyes widened and quicker than she could blink. He knocked her legs out from under her so hard and fast. It knocked the wind out of her. For a moment there, she couldn't breathe. All she could do was lay there moaning through each painful gasp. He held out his hand for her. Even when she grabbed it, she was still in too much pain to move. He wrapped his other arm around her back and pulled her up. She still couldn't quite hold herself up and ended up leaning heavily into him with her head resting oh his shoulder.

"Well, you did surprisingly better than I thought you would. Your the only human that has ever been able to make me bleed." He then picked her up bridal style and sat her down by her bag. "You still have that one remaining sensu bean. Take it, I laid into your body a little too much then I thought."

"Can't, it's our last one. What if we need it for a real emergency?" She asks.

"Then take half and save the other half for when you need it. Because if by any chance we need to move, then you need to be in good condition." Frieza said.

She didn't know what hurt more. The pain in her midsection or her back. So she fished the bean out of the small side pouch in her sack and bit it in half. Then stored the remaining half back in the pouch. She wasn't sure if half a sensu bean would work. But work it did. The pain slowly ebbed away and she could breathe more easily again.

"Forgive me, I won't go nearly as hard on you next time." He told her.

She huffed out a little chuckle. "It's fine, training sessions are not meant to be easy."

They stared at one another in silence. He was the first to break the trance and look away.

"Let's get some rest." He pulled out her blanket and handed it to her.

She wrapped it around her and laid on her side. "Good Night."

He turned and laid his back to hers. "Good Night, Lily." He whispered.

The session wore out Lily to the point she didn't need her sleep aide and she drifted off to sleep. Frieza followed soon after. They couldn't have been asleep long. Until they both awoke to a sound of metal hitting metal somewhere on the level above them. She opened her mouth to say something when he covered it with his hand and shushed her. They sat listening to see if they would hear it again. Then they heard something pick up speed on the catwalk above. Lily started shaking. To her shock, Frieza gently grasped her hand and held it. As if to tell her everything will be fine.

Then in a darkened area where the firelight couldn't reach. Something touched down on to the lower level they were on. From the impact they could only guess whatever was on the catwalk a level above them jumped down to the ground. Then like from out of some nightmare two fiery eyes emerged from the pitch dark. 'This is not happening.' A demon slowly emerged into the light and had it's sights on them.

Frieza pulled Lily up and behind him. Frieza never took his gaze off the demon while Lily frantically looked around for an escape route. A Little further back to the right she spotted what looked to be an old drainage pipe. It looked just big enough for them to fit.

She put her hand on his shoulder. "There's some kind of drainage pipe a little further back it looks big enough to fit us. We have to get there somehow. You think we can make it before it gets to us?"

"We could make it back...if we distract it." He told her.

It was stalking slowly towards them never taking it's sight off them. She looked around and saw some type of small air tanks. There was a sign above them she had to squint to read it. 'Fire Extinguishers,' it read.

"Frieza, look to your right. Can you reach those fire extinguishers?" Lily asked him.

He spotted them on the wall about fifteen feet away. "Yes, when I tell you to run. You head for that pipe and get in."

'What? No way was she leaving without him.' "No, We will both use the tanks and make a run for it to the pipe." She said.

"This isn't up for debate. Do it or I'll throw you back there and then use the tanks." He hissed.

The demon sure wasn't going to wait for their decision anymore and picked up the pace charging them. He turned and told her to go. Then he went for the tanks and activated the tanks. The demon screeched out in pain and anger from being hit with the freezing Co-2 gas. She hesitated to leave him. But eventually turned and sprinted to the pipe, snatching her pack on the way and got in. She watched Frieza spray the demon repeatedly until he used up all five tanks. Then he hurled the last one at the demon with such force it sent it flying back into the wall. He wasted no time gunning it to the pipe.

He squeezed himself in and they backed further into the old pipe. Moments later, the enraged demon popped it's big ugly head into the pipe. As they hoped the pipe was to small for the much bigger demon to get through. The bad thing was the pipe was old and the metal was giving to the forceful thrusts of the demon.

"Keep going, this pipe has to lead out somewhere." He said and gave her a push.

She started crawling further down the pipe with him following closely behind her. They must've been crawling for about eight minutes until they reached a two way intersection split in the pipe. "Shit, which way do we go now?" she whispered.

"I can faintly hear a breeze coming from down that way." He said nodding his head to the right.

Before they could turn right, there was a loud crash. The demon's head crashed through the pipe within inches of Lily. She screamed from the sudden intrusion. It was snarling and snapping it's jaws. Thrashing it's head from side to side making the hole bigger. It was too close now to her. "Look Out!" he shouted. He quickly shoved Lily out of the way only for the demon to lock it's jaws around Frieza's forearm. He clenched his teeth and bit the inside of his cheek. Then punched the demon in the eye with his other fist causing it to let go.

"Keep moving, Go!" He shouted.

So Lily started crawling as fast as she could, down the way Frieza told her to go. She kept looking behind her every few feet to make sure Frieza was still behind her. After what seemed like the longest seventeen minutes of their lives. Lily finally could see the end. Once there she pushed out the vent cover and dropped to the floor. Frieza dropped in right behind her.

"How do we get to the garage now?" She asked.

They looked around what appeared to be an office room. Frieza spotted a map on the wall. He went over and quickly located the garage area on the map. It was roughly two levels below them.

"BANG!" They turned to the steel door of the office and heard another loud bang. The demon was trying to break through the door. They went to one of three windows that lead to the outside. He wasted no time on sending the desk flying towards the window effectively breaking it. Then he picked up Lily and made a running jump out of it. He landed on solid ground with ease and set her down. There it was, about three yards to the left was the garage. As they made a break for it they heard a window smashing and a giant thud behind them. They didn't need to turn and look to know it was a demon now hot on their tails.

They forced the garage door open and jumped into the hover car. Frieza floored it in reverse and shot out of the garage. As they swung around the demon jumped onto the back of the car digging it's claws into the metal. The impact made the car shake and fishtail. Frieza was jerking the steering left and right, trying to shake the demon off. It lunged forward snapping it's jaws and tried stabbing at them with it's barbed tail. Lily reached in her sack and pulled out her stainless steel water bottle. Then proceeded to use it like a club and nailed the demon as hard as she can over the head with it.

She did it three times before it let go and fell on the road behind them rolling for several feet before coming to a completely stop. Dazed and stumbling it gave chase for several minutes before giving up and veering off the road. They sped down the road for another forty-five minutes before slowing down and stopping at the side of the road to check the damage. They got out and checked the damage at the back of the hover car. Luckily a lot of the claw marks didn't look to deep. The car seemed to be running fine. Then Lily looked at Frieza to see that his right forearm looked rather mangled.

"We need to clean that out and wrap it." She informed him.

"It's not that bad." He told her.

Then his eyes rolled and he dropped to the ground. "Frieza?" She ran over to his side and pulled his head and shoulders onto her lap. "What's happening? What's wrong?"

"I...I don't know. My body feels like it's on fire." He gritted out.

She looked at the wound and saw something yellow mixing with his blood and oozing out of the wound. She squints. "Is that...poison?" She tried dragging him up. "Frieza, you need to try to get up. I need to get you back in the car." He gave her a weak nod and with effort hauled himself up. She helped him to the passenger side and she ran around to the driver's side and got in.

She grabbed her sack and took out the last half of the sensu bean. "Here, take it."

He shook his head. "No, save it for yourself. I'll be fine."

"This isn't the time! Take it or I'll shove it down your throat! Your choice!" She all but yelled.

His eyes widened to the size of saucers. "Okay, okay."

Not wanting to risk her wrath in such a state he took it. After a few moments he didn't feel any better. He felt like he was still getting worse. "Little One, I don't think it's working."

"What?! No, it has to work!" She yelled again.

At this point his breathing was becoming more labored and he was starting to sweat profusely.

"We need to keep going. Find some help." He said between gasps.

She didn't need to be told twice. She normally didn't drive, but she watched him enough. She put it back in drive and stomped the pedal to the floor.

Looks like Frieza's in trouble. Will they be able to find help and get him treated for the poison? The clock's ticking. Until Next Time ;)
