Next chapter is up! Last we saw, things were getting a little serious between Frieza and Lily. Before they put an abrupt halt to their actions. Let's see how everything pan's out in the next exciting chapter to 'His Frozen Heart'. Enjoy :)

Neither one of them spoke that day since they left the tavern that morning. They didn't know what to say. Lily was conflicted by her emotions. While Frieza simply wanted to go back to when he hated her at the beginning of this trip. It was easier then for the both of them. Yet, he couldn't get himself to hate her like before. Lily just put her walls back up over her battered heart. How can she learn to trust someone else with her heart again? Frieza was probably the last person in the universe she could trust.

There is still so much he doesn't know about her; about her past or about...'him'. Sure, for the next several weeks they talked. Though it was usually to ask important questions. Like how they were on food supplies? Was the car battery charged? How much longer did they have now to reach their destination? Besides the important things, there were no more emotional confessions, thoughts, or playfulness. Lily started to become more occupied in sketching again during their stops. Though still sometimes practiced her moves.

According to the navigation system they followed on her wrist com and the digital car dashboard. They had around two and a half to about three months to go now. The time couldn't come fast enough. They decided to pull over one afternoon near a Spring to just take a break from all the driving. Also to relax and eat. After finishing lunch, Lily decided to take advantage of the Spring while they were here.

She grabbed her shower supplies and headed over. Luckily, there were some trees there that provided some cover and privacy. Frieza never wandered from the general vicinity of the car. Staying perched on a boulder nearby. Not having much of an appetite lately. He only finished about half his food. He then laid back on the hard surface with his hands behind his head looking to the sky. But keeping his ears focused on the surroundings around them.

It's a half hour now and Lily still hasn't returned from bathing. This made him a little nervous seeing is she never takes this long while bathing. She's usually in and out in 10-12 minutes, 15 minutes tops. With that in mind, Frieza went to go see what the problem was. At this point he didn't care if she was still indecent either. He made his way to the Spring only to find it empty. 'Where was she now?' He didn't have to go far to see she was sitting on some rocks with her back to him. He walked over to find her drawing in her sketchpad.

The rocks she was sitting on, overlooked a shallow alley below, not even fifteen feet down. It was down there and a couple meters out, they spotted a small pack of wolves dining on a deer carcass. Lily was intently studying and drawing out one of the individuals. From the drawing, she was concentrating on a exceptionally large beautiful black furred wolf.

He/She was the largest and clearly the alpha of the pack with beautiful amber colored eyes. It was more a rough sketch rather than a detailed sketch since they weren't being very still. She was more use to drawing from reference pictures and not so much from having to focus on moving individuals.

Still, it wasn't turning out too bad. She got the anatomy down good, along with the right shading for the fur, and the distinct almond shape of the eyes.

"That's turning out quite good. Where did you learn how to draw like that?" He asked.

"How else? I learned from a few art teachers growing up. Studio Art is actually what I majored in in college. Unfortunately, there are hardly any jobs in the field. This resulted in me having to find an alternative. That's how I started out in the school system. I started out as a substitute teacher. But I didn't really like it. The hours were shitty and there was no structure or daily routines with that position. It was only when I subbed for one of the teacher's aides who happened to be out one day, did I find myself falling in love with that position.

Unfortunately, at the time there were no position openings for any more teacher's assistants. I got sick of subbing and left to work at a daycare. While there, I gained a lot of flexibility working with kids as young as two years old up to three years old. After about a year I left there in favor of another position at another preschool/daycare that paid better. I was there for about a year as a teacher's assistant to their Pre-K class, ages four to five. In which I enjoyed that age group more. They are so animate and way more independent at that age.

It was more like a teaching environment. As oppose to what felt more like a babysitting job with the younger kids at the previous place. I had a breakthrough over the past Summer. A couple teacher's assistants at the local elementary had left. Maya, who was already working there at the time, put in a good word for me with the school principal and administrators.

I was hired and started that September in one of their Kindergarten Classrooms. So far, it's the best position I've ever had. I miss my job and my class. Though at this point. I most likely lost the job when I didn't show up to work after being transported to your universe." She stated.

"Hmmm, you could always acquire a new job when this is all over. Sounds like you have excellent references and experience. So it shouldn't be difficult for you now." He said.

She let's out an audible exhale. "Yeah, but me not showing up to my latest job does put a damper in my resume' too."

"I'm sure once they find out you were missing and didn't leave on your own terms, they will exempt you of that." He replied.

She went back to her sketch mumbling. "Maybe." Under hear breath.

They stayed for another hour. By then, Lily put the finishing touches on her sketch. On there way back to the car, Frieza thought he caught movement out of the corner of his eye and had them stop. He felt them being watched and was looking around to find the source. When Lily who was standing next to him, yelped. He turned to her as she pulled a small sharp looking dart filled with purple liquid out from her side.

"Wha...?" Was all she got out.

She started getting wobbly, then collapsed to the ground. He reached down for her. Only to be blown away by some weapon that expelled what felt like some sort of strange electric pulse. Frieza quickly got up, as a group of men came from the bushes. He went to charge them only to see one of them pull out another gun and take aim. This time instead of a pulse. Out shot some sort of net. As soon as the net made contact with his skin. It ensnared him and he felt the most agonizing shocks shoot throughout his body. It made him fall to his hands and knees.

Three men made there way over to a now unconscious Lily. "She appears young enough and in good physical condition. Let's take her back to the lab for testing."

Then one of them hoisted Lily over his shoulder and they began leaving. He tried hard to get up and go after her. Except the net was keeping him down with strong painful shocks. Frieza saw a truck appear from the nearby bushes and saw the back of it open. Then watched as they loaded her in.

"LILY!" He tried clawing at the net and tried standing only to go down again. The rest of the men loaded themselves into the truck and started up the engine.

In a rage Frieza yelled. With a burst of strength, he fought back the pain and tore through the net. He darted for the truck and leapt onto the back as it was leaving. Instead of taking the road, the truck crossed it and headed for a heavily wood area. As it barreled through the thick brush at incredible speed. Frieza made for the hatch at the back on top of the roof of the truck. Trying to force it open. He was so focused on trying to pry it loose. He failed to sense the two men coming up behind him.

One kicked him square in the back pushing him forward onto his stomach. While the other took out a long prong that had sparks erupting from the tip and shoved it into Frieza's side. Causing him to drop to his front again. From his position he used his tail; tripping the assailant with the electric prong, sending him onto his back. He shot up and turned, forcing his fist into the other man's solar plexus, sending him flying back several feet on the truck's roof. He remained down for a while. But the other with the prong got back up and tried shocking him again.

At this point, four more men joined the fray on the truck's roof. They all went for him. Two of the new men had large sharp knuckle busters. One had a long, wickedly curved knife about as long as a machete. While the fourth man, held what looked like a club. They all started attacking Frieza at once. Fortunately, these men were quite the amateurs at fighting. He dare say they weren't that much of a challenge.

He dodged an oncoming punch from one with the knuckle busters. This caused the man to hit one of his comrades right behind Frieza instead. The man screamed as blood spurted from his chest from the intrusion. Frieza kicked the stunned man up and off the truck. That's one down. The remaining few went at him again. He easily disarmed the man with the knife who took a swing at him. Frieza tossed the offending weapon off the side and kicking the man so hard. That he sent him crashing back into a man behind him, causing him to drop his club.

The second man with the knuckle busters was a different story. Unlike his comrades, he clearly had more training and was holding his own in the fight with Frieza. They parried a few blows back and forth. Until the man made contact. He sliced into Frieza's side with one of the sharp points on his knuckle busters. This hardly fazed him and he grabbed the mans arm, turned and threw him over his shoulder. As the man flew off the truck his body hit a tree off to the side. There was a sickening crack from the man's body. That makes two down.

The remaining men were losing stamina and getting worried. This foe turned out to be tougher than they initially thought. Two of them decided to make one last pass at him from the front. A third came at him from behind. While Frieza was distracted, a fourth man hanging back pulled a concealed compact gun from behind his back. He took steady aim at Frieza. While he blocked one of the three assailants. Frieza spotted the fourth with the gun pointed at him. As he shot it, Frieza quickly pulled one of the other men he was fighting in front of him like a shield.

The blast hit the man sending him screaming and careening into the woods. That's three down, a couple more to go. Frieza started moving towards the man with the gun. When one of the other's he was previously fighting grabbed his tail and cranking it up. Then dug the electric prong into him. His body spasm and he dropped to his knees. Before he could recover, the other shot at him with the gun again. This time, making contact and sending Frieza flying off behind the truck. He landed hard rolling for several feet before coming to a stop. The force of the impact cut him up quite a bit. But he shakily stood back up and could only watch on helplessly as the truck drew further and further away.

"GODDAMMIT!" He screamed as he punched the ground with such force it caused tremors and created a huge fist size crater.

He looked back up to the direction the truck went. 'How could he have let this happen? He got sloppy. He made it too easy for them to get to Lily. Now he lost her.'

"Liliana, Please Forgive Me." He whispered into the wind.

'He was going to find her. He was going to get her back. Once he did...There will be Hell to Pay!' He turned and slowly made his way up the newly demolished path made by the truck and followed it back to the road. He trekked back to their hover car, hoping it wasn't damaged by her captors.

Oh, No! Lily has been captured! What does this mean for them and where have they taken her? How will Frieza get her back? Find out in the next chapter. Until Next Time ;)
